Well, Its always a really bad experience when you get involved with a really bad company. Just hung up the phone with a Spectrum Customer Service Rep (third call within last 6 weeks, dealing with this company). Read Carefully, if you don't want to experience aggravation like I am dealing with, get a different provider. 6 weeks ago, after raising my rates, I contracted with one of their competitors, returned their equipment, and called and canceled the service (or so I thought). The Customer Service rep was adamant about not being told that he was wasting his time pitching me on why I should keep their service at a significantly lower price than what they had just raised my rates to. After the third time he continued on after me telling him that I was done with Spectrum, I hung up since it was obvious he was NOT going to be dissuaded. Earlier today I received another bill (at the higher rates) and when I called customer service I was told that since I hung up before they ended my service that there was nothing he could do about this added $80 bill. I have my own protocols - I don't do business with companies that act like this or with companies that aggravate me! AND I don't pay $80 for service that I canceled and did not use. This place is a joke, my ex stole my spectrum mobile device and I was logged in on that phone to the spectrum app and they let him turn back on the mobile phone and change my info to his info without my concent and then I was kicked out of the app and cant do anything.. they suggested me go to the store itself and change it back.. ugh why should I?? U didnt make him go to the store to change my into on file let alone turn back on my services... im gonna sue spectrum read more

They harrasss me with emails regarding my bills 2 weeks before it is due and before I have even gotten the paper bill. Unacceptable and they say they will not stop, so I am forced to block them. The contract also states that if the app, or spectrum.net as well I'm assuming (because I paid on the website sspectrum.net and got an email stating thank you for your payment through the app), If the app is down they will not be help responsible if now you can't pay your bill on time. This is why I don't want anything to do with paying through the app or the website. Not reliable. read more

Just awful. Our service went out 3 times in one month for hours, sometimes an entire day causing me to miss work time (I work from home). Then trying to cancel is a nightmare. Hot tip: take your equipment into the store you will spend no less than an hour on hold. read more

What makes me the most upset is that he has my information because he's here to do a job for me and he shared it with others which is a violation. As someone who represent a company's name, tell me how that situation was okay? They broke my window on my initial install and made a fake claim about it. I've tried to follow up over the course of the last couple years because they have a monopoly on my area so I'm forced to stay with them. Every time I make a new claim regarding the same incident, the representative can't find the claim. Their stores can do less than their phone reps. Things have changed. Every time I go in there are different people. They're only there to sell phones. I went in to ask how to use Spectrum internet when I'm out on the road. My phone kept saying no internet. The lady who waited on me said "We don't repair phones. Do you have insurance? You can take it down the street to the cell phone repair shop. My cell phone wasn't broken. Since this was my second visit I looked it up on my phone & fixed it. I still don't know how to stop adblocks & neither does your staff. I was recently divorced. The Spectrum service was in my ex's name. In order to receive a promotional discount, I signed on as a new customer. Rather than allowing me to use the existing equipment, I had to utilize New Equipment and Return the Old Equipment (same stuff). I had to connect and reconnect myself. When I tried to return the old equipment, I was advised that my ex had to return it - not me - it would have been nice to have been told that on the phone rather than waste time driving to a Spectrum and waiting in line. If I were smart, I should have just left the equipment there - not my equipment - not my credit. Very bad policy - need to be more interested in the client's time and energy. read more

Spectrum Service Center is not to help you but to abuse you. They overcharged me but refused to correct it.

Frauds. I cancelled my internet and was still charged for a full month. I was never told of increases on my bill. Spectrum is a garbage company and doesn't believe in prorated accounts. Before my bill was even sent out my account was cancelled. "But due to the billing process at spectrum" I'm due to pay 69.99 charged 10 days after cancellation of service. (Billed December 9th... cancelled on Nov 29th) Proof of receipt didn't matter Proof of cancelation didn't matter So screw this company and I hope you can't sleep at night. I was ready to leave spectrum all together. It has been a long process and all I wanted was to stop paying for cable. I worked out everything on the phone. However when I got to the store to return equipment the deal I was promised on the phone was not feasible. It took the whole store team to help, but eventually they fixed my problem. They were kind and very patient while I discussed everything with my roommate on the phone. I don't normally write reviews, but the previous reviews reflect issues within spectrum as a company, not with the people who work at and manage this specific spectrum store. Less than helpful onsite. Tried to return equipment for internet and cable here, found out that they don't talk with other parts of the company. Resulted in the disagreeable representative saying they couldn't help, couldn't talk to other parts of the company, and couldn't accept the returned equipment. Blamed someone on the phone who they couldn't talk to either. When I called their policies ridiculous, got yelled at. Spectrum can provide decent internet but your rates will go up after 1 year which can be common. Customer service however was not helpful in the slightest. They are strictly a business and you will be treated like a number by a some bored worker who will gladly send you to their supervisor who will politely tell you why you are wrong and why you were charged what you were and why you need to pay it. Be sure you cancel at the end of your month subscription because they don't pro-rate anything as well. Would not recommend unless you're on top of your subscription dates. read more
