But dropped again for hours. Tech support got sent to our place. Global statement: Cable service for HDTV & internet anywhere on Kauai is terrible compared to the mainland. I visit Kauai 2X per year. I trade into a different time share location every visit. Every place has piss poor standard definition only TV signal. Sometimes my best TV resolution is 480p. Time warp: What year is it on Kauai, 1997? The Oceanic channel guide never resembles where the actual channels are located. Internet speed everywhere is dismally slow when it works at all. I've never found a download speed greater than 1meg. In Nor Cal where I live with 2nd tier cable internet service, my speed is 30 meg. Maybe Oceanic is trying to get everyone to hang up their devices in frustration and just go native to the beach, electronics free. read more

They called me back & asked me to call them back on their voice message. Never said why. 3. Called them back & they said they didn't know why I got called & that everything was set for my internet install on 4/18. 4. Really? Spectrum charges you 10.00$ to hook up their cable equipment to your tv. Spent over an hour on the phone trying to figure it out most of the time on hold. Would have bagged them but in Kekaha where I live you have only one choice for cable. OR Pay them 50.00 to have their tech folks come to your house and hook up THEIR equipment. The customer service at the billing phone number is the worst. They don't care about their customers at all. I pay my bill online every month 2 weeks early to a credit card and their IT department is so incompetent that they send the wrong info to the credit card company and then blame me for them not getting paid. They just want me to keep on spending my time and keep making the same payment again and again because they are incompetent with their billing. When I find another service I will be gone!!!!!! I refuse to be treated by a company that acts like a dictatorship. The government should not allow companies like this to be a monopoly. Better Business Bureau complaint is next. Who runs this company? We bought their tv service in December for our home in Kalaheo. They did NOT bill us correctly. They did NOT communicate with us by email or phone. We arrive to our Kalaheo home yesterday and the service has been disconnected for lack of payment. They were sending the bill to the wrong address. I gave them my cc to pay for back months as well as April. I asked that they waive the reconnect fee since they had a SERVICE FAILURE in their customer service department. No they can't so it but they are sorry. So I ask her to read back my billing address that I just gave her to insure this doesn't happen again. If I could give 0 stars I would. On October 28th, 2019 there was an island wide outage here on Kauai. It lasted for over 20 hours and many businesses were affected and some were forced to close. Spectrum didn't let anyone know what was going on and there customer service was horrible. I chatted with them via online chat using my LTE on my phone since that day as well as on November 2nd when it happened again. They claimed there was no outage therefore I'd get no credit. After some back and forth I did receive an $8 credit. My main concern is they aren't customer oriented and should've kept us updated about it. read more

The person at the desk said that with the condo already getting service that I would get a great price, $29.99 a month. I agreed to have it installed. The customer service more than makes up for some of the disappointing programming issues that we all have with Cable. In the age of telemetry and for those of you that are younger we can use the word wireless and for those of you who are even younger we can use the word streaming, Cable seems a little antiquated these days. The landline companies with their DSL and ADSL have a hard time competing with Cable in bandwidth. But on the horizon is microwave, Yep your cell phone especially if you have LTE. we needed a boost in our internet speed at home and i came in to oceanic to see if i could get a different modem for faster speed. thomas helped me out and let me know to bring in my old modem and they'd trade it out with a new modem that can accommodate the faster speed i was looking for. so simple and easy, great customer service. i just had to bring in my old one, go home and plug in the new one. now i can watch streaming on so many devices without it buffering! yay! read more

I've had to get 3 different cable boxes now so i would say there service isn't the best but it's the only choice I really have living on kauai.
