Awful phone/wifi service and customer service as well. SO MANY ISSUES since I started with them. I called to cancel my phone & wifi plan as I've started a new one with a new provider and the women on the phone was mad at me for not wanting to reconsider Spectrum. She told me I was breaking up with her in the worst way possible and that I was being "mad rude" and wasting her time by calling to cancel. This is the kind of company that will make you learn to use Youtube tv or Sling TV. I have never had such poor service and frustration. They are forcing us away from cable to internet tv. I wish we had Oceanic Cable back. I am signing up for Sling. I just had another problem with Spectrum. The customer service from the Phillipines was awful! HOWEVER, a local agent from here in Hawaii stepped in and went the extra mile to make things right. She went above an beyond to get a problem fixed. She took her own extra time, called me back and stayed with me until the problem was solved. I am hoping she is a sign of Spectrum stepping up to help their customers the right way. Since Oceanic/Time Warner changed to Spectrum, their service has gotten MUCH slower...I don't care WHAT they tell you. This morning was the final straw: it's Friday morning, and I cannot log into Toyotal Financial Services to update my contact information, and it doesn't matter which browser I use. Terrible service/coverage on the big island. Rolling service outages are consistent daily and nightly. Service is expensive bc they the only hard line service on isle (HT has no fiber optics in most residential areas). Spectrum sucks on Oahu and Big Island. The only positive thing is OC16 and local sports. Awful, awful overpriced service. read more

I scheduled an appointment to connect the internet in Captain Cook area on November 30th. First available appointment was 9-11am, December 11, TWELVE DAYS LATER. They sent out a kid who has only worked for the company for 2 months. He saw that the cable line was severed between the pole and the house, called his dispatcher and said, "this is a new install" and rescheduled. The FIRST AVAILABLE APPOINTMENT IS DECEMBER 30. Are you kidding me? THIRTY DAYS TO TURN ON SERVICE??? Someone who knows what they are doing would have whipped out a cable line, connected it to a new box, ran it to the house, and been done in an hour. read more

First off I was forced to switched over to Spectrum due to a supposed error by OTWC with my online payment. Good thing I screenshot my payment (which in the end still didn't help me). Service, prices, everything sucks here. This is whole switch over from OTWC to Spectrum has been a nightmare. It's a price gouging monopoly because we have limited choices here on the Big Island! Worst counter customer service with no manners, professionalism, or compassion. We went to return cable equipment since my son's mother passed away suddenly and we just buried her the day before going to spectrum. Since we live on the mainland we decided to return the equipment before going back home since we wouldn't be coming back here to return it later. They refused to take it and refused to close the account so we asked if they could at least take the equipment so they would have it and again they refused. She just started arguing with us and started to become belligerent I then asked to speak to the Manager the lady there lied and said there's no managers at the office it's only workers and I had to call the main office to speak to a manager. Great aloha spirit and customer service. She needs to be retrained in customer service etiquette especially with a grieving family. The memories of Hawaii for our family will be the heartless service of your company Mahalo you did your job right according to your manual I guess, its all about the money, I didn't know I was in Los Angeles I thought we were in Hawaii with the aloha spirit and ohana value. Spectrum is amazing and so is the staff! When I called them to inquire about their plans and cost, the agent that answered my call was extremely helpful and knew what she was talking about. She didn't try to "Sell" me at all. I ended up with getting a bundle during an amazing promotional period. The tech that came to my house to set up everything was fantastic. She was able to maneuver quickly and efficiently. Instead of getting out after completion, she showed me how to work the cable (never had cable before) and DVR. She took her time explaining and answering all my questions. Then when I was having problems with my DVR I called and spoke to a tech. The tech was able to fix my DVR over the phone! I love Spectrum and I refuse to switch. When I bought my own modem and router, I returned their loaner at their base. It was easy to find (Just past Costco off to the right) and they even had a lot of parking. Only problem I had was the waiting in line. Long wait and not a big enough space. It was crowded and only 2 people were staffed in the front. But service was outstanding. If you need any chords or need to replace any, they will do so for free! The chords that they give away for free even come in different sizes! Talk about convenience! read more

Time Warner has always Treated me right, I know there are a lot of Negative Reviews but if you are nice and down to the earth the customer service team will always fix the problem (at least for me) I get Free upgrades, Free Equipment Upgrades and whenever there is a problem it is always resolved and usually I get Credited money back into my account. Kailua Kona HI For 3 weeks I experienced internet failure, disconnect and garbled images and information or crashed internet and failure to boot up Slow or no service. This problem has been inconsistent for a prolonged period of time. I could not figure out where or who was responsible for correcting the problem. I did not realize until the system continued to crash that it, the failure, was not my creation but Spectrums. I finally called called Spectrum yesterday evening. Spent time on the phone with customer assistance playing the game turning off the router, turning the router on. The Spectrum rep finally said "yep it must be the source distribution box outside my home and that Spectrum will send someone out to fix it tomorrow between 10 and noon and that i must be there so provide coffee and donuts. I was pleased with the fact the i was going to receive a service call today because we are leaving our condo and will not be back for several months. Well by noon today Spectrum did not arrive. I called Spectrum and the battle was on. We meant tomorrow not today. I explained that I am gone tomorrow and will not be returning for several weeks. The Spectrum rep. said We cannot help you. I am just out of luck dealing with a monopoly providing crappy internet services for an expensive price. I cannot have another service provider in my condo. This expensive service is a FCC approved monopoly fully enjoyed by one service provider who really does not care to provide the service just make money for their stockholders. I have ATT service in another home. I has failed once in 4 years. read more

We've only had Spectrum for a few months on Oahu, but four, now six, times when I relied on it, internet service has cut out. This means loss of contact with the world off island. Two big problems: 1, Our safety here is not certain right now, so losing connection puts us in frightening straits (North Korea, Trump, all that). There is really no reason Spectrum couldn't shoot us all a text or email in advance, alerting us that service is about to be cut out, so our worst fears may be laid to rest. And 2, for those of us who work with mainland and European contacts in other time zones, alerting us in advance would really help to make sure we are keeping up with our appointments. Spectrum is unreliable, unprofessional, and a great disappointment. read more

This is some of the WORST internet service I have ever had. And I've experienced Northland Cable in Seneca, SC... now that's bad! It goes out every single night without fail. After 11pm/midnight you can say goodbye to accessing any internet. We have to reset it constantly in hopes that it will work. When we first signed up we told them we had four people in the house that would all be connecting lap tops and phones to the internet and they said it would work fine. Nope, not the case at all. And it has only gotten worse- with an increase in price as well! We tried to contact them to let them know the problems we were experiencing and they said if we try to connect more than three devices it won't work and to try connecting using Ethernet. I can't connect to Ethernet every single night when I'm attempting to do work and no one else is attempting to use the internet in our house at that hour. There was no offer to look into other options, plans, check the box... nothing! It feels like they could care less about their customer service since they're one of the few providers people can choose from. HORRIBLE- go with any other company if you have the option. read more

As an Oceanic Time Warner customer for 10 years, beyond a few unplanned unplanned outages here an there, excellent levels of service, technical support and billing, OTW's overall product offerings were comparable to other wireless providers. Please note past tense, " were comparable " in lieu of "are comparable". Since the merger, acquisition or whatever it's called occurred at the expense of the customer I'm ready to bolt after dealing with several months of very pleasant interactions with customer service representatives who commit to addressing an issue without success. What is the issue? I continue to have my service turned off due to what their database shows as past due payments when my account is set up for auto-pay. Spectrum just can't seem to get it right and after six (6) months of telephone calls which also includes three (3) months of in-person visits to the office all employees verify the account is set up for auto-pay and will be resolved before next months billing cycle. I normally don't write negative reviews however today's mail and a voice mail once again informed my service will be turned off at the end of the day due to non-payment and past due invoices. Each interaction with Spectrum is pleasant, no drama and offers of free services is appreciated yet I choose not to take free services. Instead I'd just like to have Spectrum auto-deduct as the database confirms should be a "no-brainer" and return to uninterrupted service. When television ads ask "we want you back" it's evidence competition is chewing away at their share of market. Competition is healthy and six (6) months is more than enough time to get it right or drive a customer to the competition. Think about it. read more
