Very difficult to get a straight answer out of Verizon Fios. They keep discontinuing their plans…read more What are the new plans? What is the pricing? You can only find out these things if you're a new customer getting a promotional offer. Otherwise its all a secret. The only guarantee is that there will be a hefty price increase. Also, be warned. If your signal goes out, if your internet stops working, you will NEVER get a credit. I don't care how many times you call about the outage, or how long the outage lasts, they will somehow have no record that you ever called. They will pretend there was no outage in your area. Also, their internet often goes out at night. Midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am is NOT a good time for Fios internet. It stops working for no reason. And it stays off for hours at a time.

I spoke to their sales people. No names included here. I only wanted WIFI they talked me into getting TV package I did not want with a Channel line up I did not want, Otherwise, I would pay more for slower WIFI. They wanted to charge me, listen to this, @$300!!! in fees over 3 moths before I finally paid my actual monthly rate. RCN offered be lightening fast internet that practically shoots fire etc. ;-) with no installation etc. fees. No more then the price listed! I have done this before ;) And 3 years of no big price hikes! Verizon FiOS wants customers to negotiate a bargain at the end of each agreement~ Huh ? I kid you Not! Othwerwise big price hikes! Verizon Fios Call center kept me on the phone for 40 minutes trying to cancel my order! I still have to call them today to make sure my order was actually processed. FIOS call center kept trying to negotiate to prevent me from leaving. I felt sincerely harassed and I am Not one to complain easy in this regard, The regular employees were afraid to handle a cancelled order. I was automatically directed to a supervisor who offered a reasonable package... Here's the catch...I had to accept it right there and then because she was a supervisor etc. or I would lose the deal. Every deal is handled this way. OMG ! THIS WAS SAME EXPERIENCE I HAD WHEN I TRIED TO GET A WIRELESS I-PHONE AND THEY DO NOT OFFER UNLIMITED ETC. They tried to talk me into spending more then I needed to spend and hit me with so many fees. T-MOBILE has been very good to me and my service is not better or worse then Verizon wireless was! Only reason why VERIZON is doing to so well is Because customers tend to care more about bogus consumer reports & rating etc. then actual facts. Next...RCN is giving me a duo bandwidth modem and speeds approaching 110 mbs. Now my wifi will shoot fire out of me ears & arse simultaneously ..Right at FIOS the God of Myth! PS: get what you need Not what "THEY" tell you to get! $$$$ One of my teens said to me "Dude, I game on line etc, you don't need Upload speed of 50 mbs! I only use 1 or 2" Sincerely Chris

As has been said before by many others, this company has bad customer service. Far worse than the…read moreservice is their dishonesty. Astound is a good name for these people. The low level customer service and the way the company bilks customers is astounding. They claim to be giving you a five (5) year price lock. In my case, two months later they change the name of your promotion to Promotion for Life. They say that this means that only the taxes can go up if they do, but not the price for the service in my case, $40.00 with $5.66 in taxes for a total of $45.66. Do not be fooled. All their promotions, regardless of names, can be renamed and repriced at any time. They actively promote Autobilling, which means they take the money directly out of your bank account each month. It is not worth getting a $5 reduction to have these crooks get access to your bank account. Once you provide them with your bank account number, they can help themselves to any amount. Prices with Astound change at the drop of a hat. They do this by claiming that your plan's name was changed. What this means is that they hiked the price. Am actively going to see if I can find a better deal elsewhere. These people are nasty and only interested in bilking customers. These are seasoned scam artists.

Disappointed- After being a customer for 20 years never expected to receive this type of service!…read moreMy husband called about two months ago about a movie he wanted to order and wasn't able to do through the remote control. The CSR was not able to help and right away was ready to cancel our service. My husband requested a supervisor, finally after long frustration they were able to give us the movie. Once we started to watch it was the wrong movie. It turned out to be a good movie and calling back is such a hassle that we let it go. But last night, my husband called again because he wanted to watch the game and we don't have the channel. Once again CSR is not able to help and needs to transfer to a supervisor. This supervisor was very respectful gave my husband his options and he was he agreed to go with upgrades bringing the bill to over $300 to watch TV. After all he asked the supervisor the number of the channel to watch the game last night and she said is not in the package we purchased, we needed to go to a higher upgrade! So we were like, we give us a second! Taking away from the phone but she could hear us because the phone was on speaker, we were like we can go to a different carrier for much less this is to much. My husband gets back on the phone and tells the supervisor to leave the plan the way it was before all the upgrades because we are probably going to cancel. Her replied was, would you like me to set it up for a week from today! After 20 years, dealing with bad service when it rains or there's even a little wind you can't watch TV ( still pay for it) bad customer service, overpriced services, can't other movies without calling & im sure there's more to remember! You want to set up my cancellation and throw us out the door... why even run a business if you don't want your customers. You did the same to my father six months ago! I'm not to write reviews but you should not have a business if you don't care about your customers! My rating selection to your company if could be 0 it would be "Perfect "
