My Spectrum modem was toasted in an electrical storm so I looked up the closest store to replace it. I went on an exasperating joyride around central Florida. There are several stores on the GPS that are actually non-existent which the agent was aware of. So I searched on my phone and got the correct address. When I arrived they were out of modems. It seems a large part of Polk County was hit and they flew out the door. The agent said the day before the line for modems was over 100 people long. He told me to call customer service. Customer service said they could send me one but didn't know how long delivery would take because she didn't know where they were shipped from and could take a week. Or, a technician could come by the house but with no guarantee he would have one on the truck because of the area demand. How could they send out a truck to replace a modem without have a modem on the truck? I chose shipping and it actually came in about 2 days from Orlando. I could have picked it up at the warehouse in an hour. If you live in Polk County go to 1004 US Hwy 92 in Auburndale. Bring a mask. I installed it myself because they designed it simply for homeowners to do and has been working fine. As an added insult, my next bill had a $9.99 charge for a "Self-install activation charge." WHAT? I had to replace their modem myself and they charged me to do it. This was all done by computer and didn't cost them any labor. Does the word "gouging" come to mind? What's next? Charge us a special fee for gasoline in their trucks? It's things like this that caused me to get rid of all cable 15 years ago. I get all my stuff for free now over the internet. read more

I am angry enough at Spectrum to look for other service right now. We have had TV, Internet and a phone line for a year that has not ever worked, yet we have been charged for it. I tried to get the non working phone removed from our plan, but they said they would charge us even more to remove a service than with it. I scheduled a service appointment for today between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to have them fix the phone. By 1:20 pm I called and asked why we didn't even get a call since our tech was obviously not making it on time. The service dept said that they would notify the scheduling department and have them call me. No one has bothered to call us. I have made 4 calls to customer service. Each person says that they see where the last person did request a call back to us, but no one has had the courtesy to pick the phone up and make that call. It is now 5:13 pm and still no technician and no call from anyone within Spectrum! We had plans to go somewhere and instead, we are sitting here waiting for someone who may not even show up today! Funny how any person can pick up a phone to text a buddy, play a game or chat with friends but cannot dial a customers number to say they will be late! Why is there not a class action suit against these companies??? How can they be allowed to force a service down our throats and charge us more money if we don't comply and don't take their phone service?? Isn't there one attorney out there with enough guts to take on these companies? Lynette and Roger Ball Bartow, Florida read more

So, Spectrum, err Charter, comes in and gobbles up Brighthouse Communications in Central Florida. It doesn't take them long to start dismantling services. In particular, WatchESPN on the PS4 platform. After spending ample time trying to access a service I'm accustomed to having, and countless minutes on the phone with their offshore CS reps, I'm told there is a contract dispute between Disney and Spectrum, and am further notified via Spectrum email that ESPN doesn't support the PS4 for WatchESPN. See http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2016/09/watchespn-launches-playstation4/ Then, I contact ESPN, and am told Spectrum opted out of the PS4 support for WatchESPN. They can't even get a consistent excuse memo out to their minions. Then, I have to sit and watch their smarmy, fuzzy "welcome to Spectru" ads on TV, all the while they're just another lying, greedy, shameless cable provider, chiiping away at my services. This is why we need to break up these monopolies. Shame on you Spectrum. At least get your lies straight!! read more

SpectrumWorse customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I am currently holding to get assistance on two cell phones. On one I have been on hold for over 2 hours after asking to speak with a supervisor for the rude customer service I receive from a rep name Janice. Still holding on that line. On the other been on hold for and hour now a rep Marnie pick up I told how rude the first rep was and that all I wanted was to reschedule an appointment she told me hold to to check the account and forgot about me oh wait she hung up on me. I am so angry Brighthouse was never like this. Do they want to keep or lose customers? Does anyone recommend another company where I can get Internet and be able to prime time television ? Lord help me with how I feel right now. Update: called back and 14 minutes total was assisted by a Chris again just to reschedule an appointment. Can you believe I'm still holding on the other phone waiting for someone to come back to me. And I'm going to stay holding to see how long before some gets on read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I was instructed by phone support to visit the store to pick up equipment, so I went out of my way to come in. Unfortunately, the assistant manager Stefine was extremely dismissive and did not take the time to fully listen to my situation before turning me away. What made this worse was not just the inconvenience, but the lack of basic customer service and professionalism. I was not treated with respect, and it felt like my time and effort meant nothing. If there was a misunderstanding, it should have been handled with patience and a willingness to help -- not attitude and dismissal. This experience has seriously affected my perception of this location and the company as a whole. I hope management addresses this, because no customer should be treated this way. read more

Spectrum no longer gives its customers the option for paper bills. Many people, especially older people do not have internet and do not have the ability to check their emails or see their bills online. This should be illegal. A lawsuit against Spectrum is in order. Also, I want Comcast, NOT Spectrum, which charges half the amount Spectrum does for Wi-fi. Comcast charges $25 monthly for Wi-Fi in Indiana. Spectrum charges $49.99 for Wi-Fi in Florida. Spectrum is an illegal monopoly enabled by the City of Lakeland to rob the public. Spectrum is a criminal organization in my opinion. And I think the City of Lakeland should be sued for allowing this price gouging monopoly to prey on its citizens. read more

Of course, like any Internet service, my rate increased after the year was up. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes for them to cancel my account, an agent agreed to change my payment back to the normal price. After hanging up, my bill was still more expensive than I was told it was going to be. I had to call back again, and after waiting 10 more minutes on hold, the rep treated me like a child, saying this was "the last time they could credit my account" when my account was supposed to de credited to return to my normal payment to begin with. Extremely frustrating. I am a teacher and cannot afford the time or money in dealing with this company if another issue happens again. read more

Terrible!!!!! If you had Brighthouse and now are Spectrum... check your bill. Spectrum is ripping people off by raising your bill by a lot and not telling you. Mine went up $57 with no notice. When I spoke to a rep I was told there was nothing they can do since packages are now different than prior Brighthouse packages. read more

Do not waste your time or hard earned money with this company. They are liars with the absolute worst customer service. Period.
