I've been coming here for about three years now, and honestly... wow incredible. There's some sort of tech upgrade every time I make an appointment. I had no idea eye exams could evolve this much - apparently dilation is no longer mandatory for viewing your optical nerves, and I couldn't be more thrilled about that!!! On my last visit, they introduced a new machine specifically for dry eyes (which, as someone who stares at screens all day, feels life-changing). It's clear they really invest in the latest technology to make the experience better for us patients. Dr. Courtney Bovy is absolutely incredible. She actually listens and gives thoughtful, practical advice for the issues I bring up. You never feel rushed or brushed off, which is rare and so appreciated! Also, shoutout to their deals! Somehow there's always a great promotion going on. I was even able to get Meta glasses through my insurance, which was such a cool bonus! I've moved a couple times over the past few years, but no matter how far I end up, I will gladly make the drive back here. That alone says everything. Thanks again to the whole team! When I find something that I like, I tend to stick with it for a long time. This also pertains to glasses. I have a beloved pair of MODO Eyewear glasses that I wear all the time, and when it came time to get new specs, I wanted the exact same frame. I looked around where I live (Indiana) and could not find my frame anywhere. So I reached out to Spectacle Optometry in Orange County, because I saw on their website that they carry or can order MODO frames. Spectacle came through! I was able to order my exact frame, in the exact color, directly from them. I gave them my prescription, and they asked me via email a few questions about lens preferences. This is another area where I wanted something very specific (surprise, surprise), and Spectacle was able to dial in my lenses to my exact specifications. When you wear glasses all the time like me, I feel that it's important to love your glasses. I absolutely love mine! Spectacle Optometry was wonderful to work with, especially considering that I couldn't visit them in person because I live more than 1,800 miles away. Went in for both my boys today. I was so amazed how organize they were and how nice and understanding they were with my 2 boys. I wish i found them sooner. When in for one of my boys last year in a different optometrist in fountain valley, i didn't feel right with them so i had to get my son checked again and he turned out not needing glasses (not like what the previous optometrist told us) unfortunately my oldest son does need glasses tho. Price was very reasonable, office is very clean. Would highly recommend them. Will be going back if we need to again. This is our go to now :) read more

Dr. Courtney Bovy goes above and beyond in customer service and patient care. My husband's glasses had a small piece break off so I went to see what warranty options were available. Dr. Bovy swapped the lenses into another frame and said she would deal with the warranty, so my husband wouldn't have to wait on glasses. First time here with Dr. Mitch Bovy. From walking in to the whole experience was nothing like my past optometrist appointments. It was very thorough and didn't feel rushed. The staff was amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable. They have state of the art equipment and testing procedures. They checked my medical insurance just in case it covered anything. I had no clue that my medical included a vision office exam visit for only a $20 co-pay. I paid the extra small fee to get state of the art pictures of the back of my eyes and it was really cool to see and the doctor went over those pictures very thoroughly and walked through what each little area was that we were looking at. I had Lasik surgery eight years ago and was considering getting a revision, but I had to get a eye test first. The doctor knew this and he went over all the many different options I have regarding the near sidedness and far sidedness and it was information I did not even know. He took his time to make sure I knew everything so I can make an informed decision. The glaucoma pressure test they did was totally new to me. I always hated the puff of air in the eyes and this doctor uses something new and more accurate that was wayyyy better than the puff of air. He also went over those numbers thoroughly and what is normal and abnormal. There was no pressure at all to purchase any glasses or anything with them. Left with my Rx and they also emailed to me as well. I will definitely go back to Dr. Bovy 100% and 100% recommend this place to everyone. Second thing the staff along with Dr. k are all kind, Warm and knowledgeable. What a great establishment, rarely is anyone impressed by most medical practices these days. Wow! This time I went in myself to get an eye check up and to get a progressive glasses. Dr. Courtney Bovy did a very thorough job of examining my eyes and adjusted my prescriptions. She helped me select glasses and showed me how to wear the progressive so I not only can see distance but also close up. After a month, I realize the distance part on the lenses were too high and I was constantly looking over the top part of my glasses. I took it back in. I thought she would just move the distance portion but she checked the prescription strength for the entire glasses (far and close up). I just got the glasses with new lenses. It is perfect! She didn't charge me for fixing the lenses. Highly recommend! My son and husband both get their eye care here too!! read more

This is a great place to go to get your eyes checked! The office is cute and clean and welcoming. They don't use the puff of air machine. That made me very happy. And they can change the line you have to read so you don't memorize it and say the same letters every time whether or not you can read them. Everyone is really kind and friendly. Well I ended up getting new frames AND lenses at Costco for only $102.
