Before finding Vision Boutique Optometry, I hadn't gotten my eyes checked in a few years. I finally told myself I needed to go and, since we had recently moved to the area, I figured that this was the perfect opportunity to find a new optometrist. Setting up my appointment and setting up details like my vision insurance was relatively simple. The staff working the front desk are always super friendly and accommodating. I had a good feeling about them just talking on the phone to set up my first visit. Their location is tucked away amongst other shops and restaurants, so parking is very easy to find. Its a nice excuse to go shopping before and/or after my eye appointment for sure! Dr. Dao is extremely personable, knowledgeable, and does her job quickly. She takes the time to answer your questions and is so fun to talk to! After my appointment, the front desk helped me with next steps and said they would call me once my new contacts were ready. They're always very prompt so I don't need to worry about calling to check on my orders with them. I recommended Dr. Dao to my husband for his eye exams and we are planning to go to Vision Boutique for our future eye care needs! read more

Just moved to the area and I am so glad I found Vision Boutique. The staff and Dr Dao is attentive , don't be fooled by the store size , inside the store I was surprised to find a huge variety of the latest glasses. I've been going to an optometrist for years and no one has ever taken the time to educate me like Dr Dao did. She truly cares about her patients. During my first exam I explained to her the struggles I have with glasses and how I wear my contacts for over 12+ hours a day (not healthy, I know). I gave her a brief description of what I was looking for , she pulled a pair of glasses from the display and asked me to try it on and it was the perfect match!!! It actually wouldn't have been a pair I would've tried but she was spot on! Luck? Maybe but out of 100s options , I'd like to think it's partially skills. read more

I've been coming to this boutique for over 10 yrs, I love it so much I even worked their part time. Located conveniently next to Pavillion groceries, petco, target and many other restaurants. Dr. Dao is so beautiful and so gentle ! I love her to pieces. All of her staff are professional, friendly and very catering to all the customers. I always let Dr Dao pick my designer glasses I have at least 7 pairs in 5 yrs all top of the line with her gentle loving care, I feel I pay less than I would have anywhere else ! I just came in to get a small fix on a screw which popped out. Unfortunately, since they were Warby Parker glasses they were a bit unorthodox and they couldn't do it and recommended me to another place However, I still want to recommend them because of their courtesy and I was happy that they have their customers and community in mind by having all people who enter wear a face mask, along with taking proper COVID-19 measures all on their end This is beyond and above what many other OC places are doing, and it's relieving to know establishments such as theirs are supportive read more

Dr. Dao really cares for the health of your eyes. What I appreciated the most was the excellent customer service of her staff. They were knowledgeable, polite, caring, and most of all, patient. Without hesitation, they replaced frames I originally ordered from them. Helped me pick out new ones and I absolutely love them. I can't believe no one has reviewed this place before. I probably should have years ago since I have been coming to see Dr. Trang Dao for about 4 years now. She is the only eye doctor that I will see even though I've moved to West LA. Not only does she give you great advice on how to take care of your eyes, she actually explains why you should do certain things. For me, that makes all the difference. She takes the time to explain so you feel comfortable and motivated to keep your eyes healthy. On my visit to see her today, I learned that diabetes is the leading cause of blindness and getting your eyes dilated can help detect it! Which is why my vision is a little blurred as I'm writing this review. A few years ago when a small debris caused a small cut in my eye, I came to see her. Even though I had HMO and needed to get a referral before I could see her, she told me that a general physician wouldn't have the microscope to see what was causing the irritation and prescribed me the medication I needed. Another example of great service was when my sister also had an irritation in her eye while visiting in southern California (she lives up north), I took her to see Dr. Dao. I knew that she would help my sister out and I wasn't let down. I cannot recommend Dr. Trang Dao enough. She is an exemplary doctor and person. read more

Dr Dao and her staffs are very friendly here. Dr Dao is very helpful and knowledgable when it comes to optometry of course. She gave me information that I had never received from other optimetrists and I've been wearing glasses for more than 25 years. They have nice selection of glasses and even if you can't find what you like, they can try to order the pairs you like online. They accept VSP insurance that most insured patients have. read more

This place is garbage and they have policies that don't make any sense. I admit I made an error because I'm on my last pair of contacts, and have been for 2 weeks, and when I went to replace them I realized that I didn't have anymore left. I tried to make an appointment with the doctor, but it is going to take a week for me to get in there and meanwhile my eyes feel like there's acid in them because the contacts are getting old and drying out faster. I simply asked if I could have a trial pair to hold me over for the few days until my appointment and I was told it is a "liability?" This is the stupidest policy I've ever heard of and I've never encountered this through any of my other optometrists because it doesn't make sense. It's not a liability, it's just a paranoid doctor who doesn't want to spend a few cents to give up some free contacts ( by the way I was trying to make my appointment and then buy a year worth of contacts like I've always done. I don't have glasses and when I told this to the attendant she recommended that I "prioritize next time." I guess she wouldn't understand being that she sits on her ass all day in a little store so she can't understand being a full time working professional and finishing graduate school. Go ahead and save your lectures as I'm sure your life could use a lot of prioritizing. Needless to say, I won't be coming back to this place and thank god there's still reasonable and intelligent people in the world at places like orange circle optometry. I'll be taking my business there and I suggest others do the same. By the way, orange circle optometry said no problem in giving me a trial pair until my appointment......weird. read more
