First Class place! They looked up both my and my wife's VSP coverage, and they carry Maui Jim glasses, which are covered as well. Finally, get glasses I like from a very knowledgeable staff. We have lived in the area since 1989 and didn't know about them till yesterday! It started with a conversation about shopping local. Turns out local is, in this case, the best! Got so much information and genuine care. read more

I highly recommend this place. I recently visited B&B and had a fantastic experience. First of all I had a challenging insurance situation where my vision and health insurance were combined into one. The staff at B&B went above and beyond to sort through the complexities and ensure everything was handled smoothly. Their dedication and patience were truly commendable. Speaking of the staff, you couldn't ask for a nicer group! They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive throughout my visit. Their customer service is top-notch, making the entire process stress-free and enjoyable. very communicative on email as well. B&B also has a great selection of glasses. I was impressed by the variety and quality of frames available which is hard for someone who has a big head like mine and most glasses won't fit. I found the perfect pair and can't wait to come back again for my next visit. Highly recommend B&B for anyone in need of vision care and eyewear! read more

I have been going to Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Benham for years. They have many years of experience, wonderful patient rapport and they give their patients their full attention every time! I'm very confident in their eye exams, expertise and recommendations for eye healthcare. They are honest, reliable, listen very carefully and don't recommend unnecessary treatment. They will get on the phone, call you back and personally help you in any way possible. One year, I was on vacation and ran out of contacts. Dr. Bernstein was nice enough to call and work with the local optometrist in town to get me some replacements. Their office staff is also the best! They are friendly, reliable and organized. It feels great to have an optometrist team I trust and know what to expect each visit! read more

I took my son here for awhile. The doctor was usually pretty abrupt, for lack of better words. The office staff, I thought, were great. My son kept having the same break in the same place for many pairs of glasses. So I sent the one pair in and paid for another out of pocket in March of last year, received April. Paid a pretty little penny to have an extra pair and was told there was a warranty and that, since there was no change to his vision, would be fine. I called today because of the havoc of covid and being home, my son often did not wear his glasses and I have been managing quite a bit on my own during this time, just like everyone else. I call to get replacement frames for my son to be told they don't take his insurance and apparently won't hold up the warranty for a transaction made with them because the prescription expired and they won't talk to me about it unless I want to come in for a full exam out of pocket. Cool Ok. Send me all the information via email so I can go to the source of the warranty myself since I can't talk to you (the person I am fairly certain was the actual doctor based on the voice) to which they agree and only send me the expired prescription. The prescription that expired 3 months after buying glasses out of pocket because I was told there was no change and no need to be seen for awhile. If I remember correctly, it was like 18 or 24 months I did not have to be seen? But here I am, a kid needing reading glasses, with frames broken under the eye. In a frame that cannot be glued because of the break's location, with glasses that were not validly his prescription 3 months after the purchase. With no call to schedule or let me know the prescription had ended, even though we went in for the exam with no changes. I paid money and was scammed because they, first of all, didn't tell me it was an invalid prescription. Secondly, they won't hold up their promise of a warranty because I don't have their desired insurance, even though this was a transaction, not a doctor visit. I'm really surprised they have so many good reviews on here. read more

Dr. Benham and her office staff are absolutely amazing. I have been going to Dr. Benham for 10+ years now. Dr. Benham is a sweetheart, super kind and welcoming. You can tell she sincerely cares about her patients and makes sure to take the time to explain everything as she goes through her examination/visit. I am amazed how great her staff is, they too very kind and explain all options and make sure you questions are all answered. The office staff will go above and beyond to try to resolve any issues you may have and make sure to follow up in the time frame they provided. I stopped by during my lunch break and was able to complete my entire visit/examination and also order a new pair of glasses, they were super efficient. Your location Bernstein & Benham Optometry 19831 Yorba Linda Blvd suite c, Yorba Linda, CA 92886 Eye care center Dan Guntle 26 points   10 minutes ago I would skip this office. I ordered $650 sunglasses and they delivered a pair with wrong color lenses and frame. I was patient. Didnt complain. When the replacement pair arrived it had the wrong perscription...could not read in them and the frame color was a different wrong color. I once again left politely waiting for the correct frame but they started giving me the run around saying my eyes may of changed in the 2 months since my last appointment when inquiring about lenses. Knowing this is not the case being my regular glasses work just fine I asked for money back. Instead of crediting my credit card they told me their accountant would call me. It's ben a week and no call. Filing dispute with credit card now. The office help is worthless. Merry Christmas! Could use that money back. read more

Great service, large selection of frames and petsonalized attention by Dr Benhan and staff

My entire family has been seeing Dr. Bernstein and Dr. Benham for over 20 years. In our opinion Seth, Lisa and all of their kind and gentle staff have treated us with the greatest care and professional service. Seth and Lisa are true professionals which is clearly evident in the way they describe in full detail and clarity every procedure they perform on us. There is never a question unanswered. We truly feel we are treated with the special care of a family member. Thank you so much for all that you do for me an my family. We look forwards to many more years of excellent care and service. Wonderful optometrists. Both Dr. Benham and Dr. Bernstein are professional, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Bernstein, himself, worked with us to personally expedite a pair of glasses that were needed for after my son's surgery. He went above and beyond what an optometrist needs to do. We saw Dr. Benham at the Corona office and then for a recheck in the Yorba Linda office. Everyone in both offices is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a new optometrist, look no further. read more

Dr. Bernstein is a really nice guy. I like that he gets to know you. Nice office, felt very comfortable-- parking lot is a little tricky (I pulled in too late into the wrong one and there was no connection, so I had to pull out and then turn back in to the right one) but if you're looking out and just pull in right after you see the sign, you'll be good. Women at the front desk were really nice and helpful, too. Even before my appointment they were so helpful with getting my insurance all settled. Overall my exam was completely painless. Even the dreaded glaucoma air puff-- really overblown! It's not that bad at all. Thanks Dr. Bernstein! read more

This review is so unfortunate, since Dr. Benham was nice. If you don't need a referral or anything out of the ordinary, then your experience will probably be fine. My daughter needed a referral to a pediatric ophthalmologist. When we checked out, the front office girl stated she would be sending the referral over immediately but it would be at least 2 weeks before a provider was chosen. The following madness occurred: I waited 4 weeks to allow plenty of time (appointment on 11/1, called after Thanksgiving for update), and I was told by a nervous lady that I needed to wait for a call back in a few minutes. I waited a few hours with no call back, then I called back for an update. I was then told I had to wait for the Dr. to come in the following day. I asked why, since she had already put in her referral and it was sent to insurance. She handed the phone to someone else. Spoke with the worst customer service person I have ever experienced, Monica, who said it was filed away and NEVER SENT! If it wasn't sent, why are you stating you need to speak with the Dr, just trying to get me off the phone unfortunately because it was awkward for her to explain. I could not believe it! I told her when we checked out it was supposed to be sent right away. She just stayed quiet and said she would send it then. She said she would send it marked urgent (after I asked her to) to the insurance, and was not empathetic but sarcastic and almost bothered that she needed to do this. I waited a few days for the authorization to go through, then contacted the insurance who stated Bernstein and Benham is supposed to contact me to provide the new provider info, which had already been authorized 2 days prior. Needless to say, they never called to give me the info. On top of all of this, when I called the authorized provider they stated Bernstein and Benham sent the referral with no codes, and it could not be processed without them! I feel like Monica did this purposely just to be spiteful, although I hope this is not the case. I was able to call and plead with the insurance to get it fixed because I never want to have any ties or communication again with this office. I feel bad for those who need referrals or anything other than business as usual, because it is like pulling teeth. All the while, my kid has been the one suffering because she cannot see well out of one eye and needs glasses. A huge delay occurred all due to one person's negligence. read more

I have been visiting Dr. Lisa ever since I was a child! Since then, she's been watching over the entire family and performing all of our checkups. Our entire family usually hates going to the doctors. Dentist and doctor appointments typically ensue in feet dragging, shuffling, and with the kids, fear. But we all love coming to Dr. Lisa's! Dr. Lisa is kind and caring, always asking about all of our lives and genuinely interested in our complete well being. Dr. Lisa is energetic, outgoing, and great with kids and adults! My family and I have been going to B & B for close twenty years. The service has always been excellent. I didn't think it could be better until we were served by Liisi and Nancy. At our 1st appointment Liisi and Nancy offered advise on how to chose glasses that allowed my daughter and grandson pick out glasses that fit well and were very complimentary. Both ladies made us feel so comfortable and were very professional. This was especially true for the follow up fitting appointment. This was perfect for my teen age grandson who was being fitted with glasses for the first time. Liisi made him feel comfortable and taught him how to care for is glasses. When we left he actually commented on how nice Liisi was. Thank you Liisi and Nancy for treating my family like they were your own. read more

I have new health insurance and was excited to learn that I was covered for eye exams...it's been 9 years! The staff and Doctor were super nice and professional. Dr. Bernstein was very thorough with his questions; he took my concerns seriously and answered all my questions. I asked him about eye floaters and he explained it in such a way that was interesting and anyone could understand; Dr. Bernstein also answered one of my questions with a short story regarding a patient who had a similar concern and that helped a lot. I definitely recommend this place and will be back next year! ;) read more

Dr. Lisa Benham and her staff were amazing with my 7 year old grandson this morning. He has been very anxious for days regarding his first optometric exam. I apologize, but I forgot the woman who gave him his initial eye tests, she was patient and very sweet to him. Dr. Lisa Benham was incredibly adept at calming his fears and gaining his trust.
