As an update to my 2023 appointment for new glasses: I recently had an eye exam at another facility…read moreand was given a new prescription that was supposed to be a minor tweak on my current glasses. I compared the new prescription to my latest prescription and it seemed more like a major change instead of a minor adjustment. Not being an expert, I went ahead and ordered the updated lenses from Rome Eye Care. When they came in and I put them on, the vision in my left eye was good but I could see better out of the right lens without the glasses. I figured I just had to wear them for a while to get used to them. After two weeks of constant wear, my vision was not any better out of the right eye. I returned to Rome Eye care and they read the lenses on their machine and confirmed they matched the prescription I had been given, which I figured they did. They agreed with me that the new prescription was a major change from the lenses I have been wearing since 2023. They said I should go back to the original clinic and have them recheck my eyes. The original office I went to could not give me a repeat exam until June. I let Rome Eye Care know that I wouldn't be back anytime soon so they weren't expecting a quick return. The very next day they called and said that Dr. Reeves said for me to come in and he would re-examine my eyes. A new exam was performed and it was found that the prescription I was given by the other optometrist was over corrected for the left eye and was even a bit stronger than I needed for the right eye. During his evaluation he was able to correct my prescription to give me 20/20 vision. I know this is kind of long, but the people at Rome Eye Care center are really great. Based on how quickly they accommodated the exam and the expert treatment I received, I will probably use them as my primary for eye care.

They no longer let customers review on their site because the reviews are so bad. Unreasonably high prices for the same products found in other local stores. Check out the many other bad reviews for this business. Apparently I am one of many. I highly recommend Specs For Less. They are professional good natured and the the prices are very reasonable.

They all went above and beyond to help me with my Contact Lens Glasses and Understanding My Insurance. More Importantly to me was that there is a DOCTOR ON-SITE. I Purchased a pair of Progressive Glasses they came back with in a reasonable amount of time. My glasses are super clear I can see at a distance and up close. First I want to thank Dr. Scoggin for being understanding and helping my son by giving him a pair of contacts. The office is closed due to the virus and my son could not come in for an exam and was about to run out of lenses. My son is a working student and did not have the money for and exam when his prescription was up for renewal. He financially had to stretch his lenses out even though he knew this was a poor choice. He did not want to ask for money from me. I found out about this and offered to help. We both called the office and were met with the rudest comments I have ever experienced. I was so shocked I did not get the lady's name. She accused us both of enabling eye damage. I have never had someone speak to me in such a demeaning manor. I can only hope this attitude was due to the over all stressful time. I am a front line health care worker so I get it. Again I thank the doctor for his help.
