In depth review: This is not a typical shoe store - it's very much a customer experience store. Having never been to a specialty running shoe store, I expected to walk in and see rows of shelves with model shoes on top and boxes of those shoes in different sizes below. This is not that place. When I walked in, I was greeted by an employee who asked what I was looking for in a shoe and then invited me to step onto a machine that imaged my foot pressure (no additional cost). He then reviewed the image with me l, talked about specific foot issues I've experienced, explained my personal foot needs based on the image, and had me sit down while he went back and started grabbing shoes that would meet my needs. If anything, he probably had me try on more shoes than I needed. But he was thorough. He talked me through sizes, widths, and supports, pointing out different features of each shoe. Truthfully, he'd found my perfect shoe in the first 3 or so he brought out, but he kept going back looking for more options. The time involved from arriving until buying was still less than 20 minutes, so the attention to detail was great but not wasteful. Running shoes are expensive - not just here but anywhere. I'd expected a bit of mark up for the customer attention time, but that wasn't the case. I got great shoes for the price I saw them for online (yes, I did look at prices as he went back looking for more options). There was no pressure to buy a certain pair, and I didn't sense any attempt to oversell or get me into a more expensive pair. It would have been nice to have seen prices on the shoe boxes, though. We never talked about price points or how much any pair cost until I made my decision and paid. And perhaps that's for the best in terms of finding the best shoe for my feet. Would I go here again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it to others? Absolutely.

Very nice people. They let me try on many different pairs of shoes. We found the best fit and we…read morehad them ordered! Knowledgeable and kind staff. I would definitely come back to buy more. If I would have ordered online, I would have ordered the wrong size. Shop locally!

The store is beautiful. This is the nicest Ace I have ever seen especially the Gun Department…read more Sadly nobody was working in the gun Department on a Saturday which you would think would be the busiest day. I bought a Chain Saw and the young man was helpful in helping me decode the Stihl nomenclature. The issue was it took him probably 20-30 minutes to "prep" the saw. Which is just filling the premix gas tank and bar oil tank. My total time in the store was 52 minutes with only part of that shopping time. There were only 3 people working in the store that I could see and the person at the register didn't know how to take a personal check from the person at check out in front of me and had to call on the radio and get help for that. Then I was paying some cash for my purchase and the balance on a card and she didn't know how to do that either. So another wait as she calls again for assistance. Check out was a very long procedure but not as bad as the saw prep time. Everyone seems to be untrained or brand new.

I have always been treated with respect and never patronized or spoken to like I'm an idiot because I'm a woman. I find the prices to be comparable to Lowe's without the hassle of searching for my items and someone to assist me. My most recent purchases were for oil, filter, and spark plug to service my lawnmower. Casey was sweeping the floor to prepare for closing, but stopped his task to show me every item I needed as well as offering additional services like blade sharpening should I need them. SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH LOCALLY OWNED BUSINESSES INSTEAD OF SOULLESS CHAIN STORES.
