As an update to my 2023 appointment for new glasses: I recently had an eye exam at another facility…read moreand was given a new prescription that was supposed to be a minor tweak on my current glasses. I compared the new prescription to my latest prescription and it seemed more like a major change instead of a minor adjustment. Not being an expert, I went ahead and ordered the updated lenses from Rome Eye Care. When they came in and I put them on, the vision in my left eye was good but I could see better out of the right lens without the glasses. I figured I just had to wear them for a while to get used to them. After two weeks of constant wear, my vision was not any better out of the right eye. I returned to Rome Eye care and they read the lenses on their machine and confirmed they matched the prescription I had been given, which I figured they did. They agreed with me that the new prescription was a major change from the lenses I have been wearing since 2023. They said I should go back to the original clinic and have them recheck my eyes. The original office I went to could not give me a repeat exam until June. I let Rome Eye Care know that I wouldn't be back anytime soon so they weren't expecting a quick return. The very next day they called and said that Dr. Reeves said for me to come in and he would re-examine my eyes. A new exam was performed and it was found that the prescription I was given by the other optometrist was over corrected for the left eye and was even a bit stronger than I needed for the right eye. During his evaluation he was able to correct my prescription to give me 20/20 vision. I know this is kind of long, but the people at Rome Eye Care center are really great. Based on how quickly they accommodated the exam and the expert treatment I received, I will probably use them as my primary for eye care.

One main call center (you have to go through The wizard ofOz). No direct line to your medical office staff. When you enter said offices there are 2-5 receptionists twiddling their thumbs who could have taken that call directly. This does nothing for patient/office staff trust and relationships. This Harbin/Atrium partnership has destroyed good medical practice as we knew it. Cha-Ching. Billable procedures that do not work but make revenue are encouraged. Overuse of scans. Overuse of procedures. The sheep that live in this area are compliant to the point of allowing being scolded for individual thought as to their care. They follow blindly. Because they don't know any better.

The office is closed due to the virus and my son could not come in for an exam and was about to run out of lenses. My son is a working student and did not have the money for and exam when his prescription was up for renewal. He financially had to stretch his lenses out even though he knew this was a poor choice. He did not want to ask for money from me. I found out about this and offered to help. We both called the office and were met with the rudest comments I have ever experienced. I was so shocked I did not get the lady's name. She accused us both of enabling eye damage. I have never had someone speak to me in such a demeaning manor. I can only hope this attitude was due to the over all stressful time. I am a front line health care worker so I get it. Again I thank the doctor for his help.

He wanted to talk about an epidural that I could not have done due to high blood pressure, that was supposed to be administered by pain management. Well I was put in the hospital the next day due to extremely high blood pressure! ThePA didn't know anything about that. None of them were on the same page! I paid my co-pay and they did nothing me and I complained to corporate to no avail. I am looking for a new Neurologist and another pain mmanagement even if I have to go out of town!!

I had asked if I possibly had another disorder like intercranial hypertension. Because one of my ophthalmologist said it was very possible that I had it because of my eye exam. They told me it was impossible because I was not Blind. They would not refer me to see the proper physician or entertain the idea. Soon I started losing my vision. My headaches were getting worse. I took all my records for the past 10 years to a new neurologist and a Neuro-ophthalmologist. I was diagnosed in one visit with Intercranial hypertension. I'm now on the proper medication. If I would've listen to them I could've lost my vision and went blind permanently. This is the most terrible Experience I've ever had.
