One main call center (you have to go through The wizard ofOz). No direct line to your medical office staff. When you enter said offices there are 2-5 receptionists twiddling their thumbs who could have taken that call directly. This does nothing for patient/office staff trust and relationships. This Harbin/Atrium partnership has destroyed good medical practice as we knew it. Cha-Ching. Billable procedures that do not work but make revenue are encouraged. Overuse of scans. Overuse of procedures. The sheep that live in this area are compliant to the point of allowing being scolded for individual thought as to their care. They follow blindly. I do not recommend Dr. Mansoursa (Endocrinology). He is great for the first visit but all appointments thereafter go downhill due to lack of listening, assistance and his staff's inability to order the correct bloodwork. This leads to him blaming the patient and refusing to correct the bloodwork orders which then leads to him refusing to prescribe insulin that is needed. read more

Harbin Clinic ENT... If you're looking for nice, friendly people to help you and service your hearing aid needs, then don't use these people. I have used them for 5 years to replace a tiny plastic tube that holds both my hearing aids on my ears. When I was laid up in the hospital on Feb 28,2018 dying with this flu, I asked my husband to go have them put that tiny piece of plastic back on. Whomever tried to fix it couldn't so they just through the pieces back in pouch to bring me and charged him $11.00 for it. I called and told them it wasn't fixed. So I'm sending him back over to try to fix it again, but the plastic tubing 1/8 inch is still $11.00. I WILL NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN FOR ANYTHING read more

Harbin Clinic in Rome is big-city health care quality in small town Rome. Its patients probably skew on the geriatric side, but they have a ton of specialists and primary care options. Their facilities are modern and inspire confidence, and I only had to wait about five minutes to be seen for my appointment. While I had a different experience with their Cedartown branch, I have been impressed with these guys. If you're looking for medical care in Rome, these guys are a great option. read more

On more than one occasion this has ment that I have avoided unnecessary tests and procedures. The staff is always friendly and the doctors seem knowledgeable and compassionate. The Harbin clinic uses a billing service in Boston, MA. I have used their doctors a few times when I could not find someone else. As with any large organization, the doctors vary in skill and personality, but that is not the basis for this review. I mentioned the Boston billing company, the last two times I went to the Harbin Clinic, to the ophthalmologist and an endocrinologist I had the same situation occur. I tried to pay at the time of service and they refused to accept any payment, 8 months later I get a bill claiming I am more than 30 days overdue and they are going to put me in collections (this is the first bill for that service I had received). So I go to my bank and have them cut a cheque in the full amount to the Harbin Clinic's billing dept in Boston. The next month I get a notice saying I am over 60 days past due, even though I sent them a cheque in the total amount 3 weeks prior. So I check my chequing account and sure enough the check has never been cashed. Both times the same pattern was followed. I contacted the billing department where I get someone demanding to be paid, I give them the cheque number they say they will research it. The billing department then calls back the next day claiming no cheque was ever presented and I need to immediately send them another one. I then proceed to contact my bank where I am told the cheque was presented for payment the day before and will clear that night and I am given an image of the presented cheque. I call back the billing department show them the cheque and they claim they did not hold onto it, it must be my banks fault. I might believe this 1x, but when it happens 2x in a row, over a year apart, that tells me something fishy is going on. If you must use the Harbin Clinic, get them to give you a physical receipt, if they refuse payment note it on the bill and have them initial it. If you can choose an independent doctor or a Floyd affiliated doctor, you will likely be better served. read more

I took my elderly mother to the Urology department today to have a procedure done. Since this is the Urology department obviously they want you to remove your bottom clothing prior to the test. I walked my mother to the examination room because she is elderly and has had a previous fall at this same department before. While waiting outside the exam room since they have no where for you to wait back there i was approached by a very rude Dr Jesse. He was arrogant and said with a very stern voice "you'll have to either go in the room with the patient or go back out into the area where you first came in". I tried to tell the cocky mouthed punk that that my mother was in the room undressed but he just said "well if your not going in there you'll have to go back outside in the room where you first came into. Obviously I went back out to the check in area since i didn't want to be in the room where the physician assistant was doing the test. I didn't sue them on her behalf for the first fall she had in the department yet but rest assured I would have if she had fell this time. I GUESS HE THINKS BECAUSE HE'S A LOUD MOUTH PUNK DOCTOR HE CAN TELL EVERYONE WHAT TO DO. I fully intend to complain to someone but i'm sure it will go in the trash since all the doctors at this clinic have an investment in it. read more
