I had heard good things about the pizza, so I wanted to try it as I'm in town visiting relatives for a few days. We walk in around 7, place is half full, we're handed menus after a few minutes, and then, nothing. The guy who gave us our menus just stood over by another bar in the back talking to someone and just ignored us. It was strange. Another table came in and sat down and didn't even get menus. Finally, we just left. Very disappointing. read more

As you enter Specific Gravity, you will find a very low key restaurant and bar with fantastic food. My husband and I go to Specific Gravity for their wings. My husband is a wings aficionado! The rubs are amazingly fantastic!! The pizza is good also. The servers we have had are all terrific. They are very helpful helping you find something memorable. When you want wings go to Specific Gravity!! They also have carryout. read more

The take out pizza was amazing but here was my problem...... Google and yelp review of Specific Gravity.... Trust worthy Trish as she happily called herself ignored me for 5 minutes while I stood at the bar waiting to pick up my pizza worst part she looked at me 2x and continued talking to another customer named Michael who was clearly not interested. Clearly I felt out of place and unwelcome here. Trish needs to treat all customers equally no matter race or anything else!!!!!!! read more

Came here when they opened and staff seemed annoyed. We got a small bruschetta pomodoro pizza, small cheese with bacon, and a small cheese with basil, roasted garlic and spicy Italian sausage. For these extra toppings it was an additional $5.00. The pizzas were okay but the Parmesan cheese on the table was bad. We didn't feel well after eating here for lunch and threw away our leftovers. read more

SPECIFIC GRAVITY PIZZERIA & BEER JOINT has an extensive range of craft brewed beers, and 24 different beers are available. The beer selection is always changing based on the season, but they do support another local business and always carry Evolution Craft Brewing Company products. You have to be sure to check out the chalkboard with the list of available beer when you come in. Pizza is arguably one of the most popular foods in the country. It is a party favorite, a great choice for potlucks, and a famous dinner option on those nights when you don't feel like cooking. Because of pizza's high demand in neighborhoods everywhere, pizzerias dominate the restaurant scene. But not every pizza place knows how to make great pizza Now I love a great pizza joint, and this place has some of the best pizzas in Salisbury Maryland! The crust is flavorful and has that nice snap and slightly chewy texture. A gourmet pizza is always easy to spot as a dish because it offers a modern and contemporary style while using the freshest, finest ingredients, and let me tell you, they hit the mark! You want a pizza place that makes you feel cozy and not feel stressed about what you have to wear? Well, this is it! Wear a suite, jeans or shorts, it doesn't matter. This casual dining experience is exactly what you need to sit back and relax while eating a slice of pie! Don't be afraid to order something other than pizza because whatever you order will be on point. We had pizza, wings, and a calzone, and it was all fabulous! The meat lovers calzone was packed full of pepperoni, sausage, and ham! It was truly one of the best I've ever had! The wings were the Key Largo and Whitehaven. The zesty citrus and herb flavor on the Key Largo wings was phenomenal, and they had a great crispy texture as well. Whitehaven was a perfect mix of old bay and Cajun seasoning that with the crispy texture was perfect! The build your own pizza was just what we needed! If you feel like picking your own toppings, then this is just right for you! The specialty drinks were really good as well. My wife enjoyed the watermelon basil cooler and thought it was really refreshing, not too strong or too little alcohol but just the perfect blend. Our server Alika was really nice and attentive. She wasn't overly excited or at the table annoying us she checked on the food to make sure it was what we wanted and that it was good and kept the drinks full. She was perfect! So, if you are looking for other pizza dining options in Salisbury or are willing to drive for a night night out with the family and want to make the right decision, SPECIFIC GRAVITY PIZZERIA & BEER JOINT is the place to go! You won't be disappointed! read more

Great pizza and wings. Then we get the bill, a bourbon is $13 (high even by OC standards) and then they charged $2 for ice? Saying it was a heavier pour, 1.5oz. Which is a standard pour! Manager thought this was okay. Be warned! read more

Specific Gravity is one of the many reasons that Salisbury University is a great place to go to school. What a blessing to have it right next store! My only regret is that I did not find it sooner. Specific is arguably one of the best restaurants located in the area. They have wonderful pizza, wings, fries, beer, and of course their ranch is to DIEEEE for. Now that I have graduated, I still think about this place often. Are people enjoying it as much as I once did?? read more

I've been eating here for a long time, and I still love the pizza and the wings. My colleagues and I ordered out for lunch. Most of us got the lunch special for $8.50 a small cheese pizza and fresh cut fries (Boardwalk style). The pizza crust is thin and crispy with the perfect chew. The quality of the ingredients and the creativity of the toppings make "Specific Gravity's" pizza the best. If you have a refined palate, try the "Greek pizza" with Kalamata olives, white sauce, basil pesto and artichokes. A few weeks ago, I ate in, and the wings are still the best in the 'Bury most especially the dry rub "Key Largo". Pint night is still Wednesdays, and you get to keep the glass! Great selection of Craft beers. Burley Oak Brewing Company will be there 11/30 for Pint night. read more

Here's a great reason why locally owned restaurants fail. Pathetic customer service. Walked in & was told to sit in the bar. Decided to wait for a high table. After 15 minutes, found a high table and sat. After another 10 minutes another waitress shows up asks us to leave. Informs that there's a 40 minute wait and that we need to register name & number. The first host could have explained the protocol, taken the name & number for the waitlist. After waiting 25 minutes in the restaurant, the second waitress asks us to follow her. Takes down name and number. Says another 40 minutes of waiting. If the employees do not know what they doing, customers suffer. I give the info & then walk out. The way you treat customers is key for any successful restaurant. Even if the food is marginal or just okay, if one is treated well you can expect repeat business. Not here. All I say is if you want to ill treated, disrespected and insulted, please make this as your go to place. A typical Eastern Shore racist shithole with bad attitude and poor manners. Customers choose where to spend their money. Certainly if you are person of color stay far away. They will ensure that you are invisible, unwanted and ignored. I hope they shut down soon. Won't be missed. read more

Always a good day here. Normally I go for the General Tso's pizza but, today for lunch I went with the Buffalo chicken wrap. Never been able to get here for a beer but I definitely want one everytime I crest that threshold . Those craft beer taps stare me down like distant lovers. It's really a cool spot and the waitresses have always been attentive and fun to interact with. There is plenty of parking along the side of the building and even street parking. You can choose to sit at the bartop or slide on into a booth. I roll my eyes at any bad reviews on here because they are either petty or just snobbs. Let you be the judge when you come on over the Specific Gravity and get weighed down!!! read more

Really? I mean REALLY? Worst f-in pizza ever. We have had better from SG but I must say that that was $40 I shall never see again. Got the black and blue pizza and MommaK, the bruschetta pizza. Had lunch here on a sat afternoon on the way to Assateague Island. The place was packed, but we were able to find a table immediately. Just find an empty table and sit. Our server was great. We got 1. Garlic Bread (4.5/5) 2. We got half of General Tso's and The Greek. The first was excellent and I highly recommend it. The second had a lot of Olives. 3. Spinach Calzone (4/5) not my favorite it was cheesy and was little on the bland side. The drinks on the other end were great. I am not sure what I got but it was great. Overall a great place for drinks and pizza. read more

I was visiting the area for work (just prior to Covid closures a couple months ago) and was told that I needed to try this place while I was in the area. I came--and the place was PACKED on a weeknight, which I saw as a good first sign. This place has a definite bar vibe; it's a beer place that also serves food. As it was crowded and seating was limited due to the amount of people, I grabbed a spot at the bar. Second good sign: the beer list. It was MASSIVE! So many options and a lot of them local. Definitely like the try the local brews when visiting a new area. I settled on the RAR Nanticoke Nectar (IPA) and was very happy. They have many options and a beer on the list for anyone's taste. I was intrigued by the Big Mac pizza and I was not disappointed. It had everything you would find on a Big Mac down to the lettuce, special sauce, and pickles! The fries on top were a plus. Can't wait till my next visit so I can try it again! read more

Nice place. Cold beer and good pizza. Sometimes the service is slow and depending on seating, a little loud with other customers.

Great pizza. Good service! Friendly atmosphere! I love when I have school events here. Always a treat to eat here!

Ugh I so wanted this to be an amazing experience. And maybe it would be, had we ate in vs delivery. We ordered a large cheese - pepperoni pizza for $14. I was under the impression that a large would feed 6. And, I'm sure it would if it were kids. But it was a mix of kids and adults and well we had to call Domino's for back up bc the large really only serves 1.5. The pizza itself had flavor but the crust was though and hard to chew. The small pizza which we opted for 4-toppings was $14 and serves more like a personal pizza vs a small. The small pizza crust was thicker and chewy. Totally not winning at this point. I can say the spinach salad was perfect. read more

The pizza and wings have been consistently good and the service is friendly and timely.

This was my first time trying Specific Gravity Pizza. Since I do not drive I had a friend of mine order me a large sausage pizza and pick it up. First when i order a sausage pizza I do not want it to be covered in green peppers. Never asked for them. Hate green peppers. Now the sauce was pretty flavorful and the sausage, what there was of it was also good. Now the pizza crust was cracker thin. Normally when it is like this it has zero, or very little flop. When you did get a slice picked up you better have a napkin handy because it pointed south quickly. And some of the actual crust was burnt. That is not a bad thing to me but when it is too much it does detract from the quality. And who ever cut my pizza must be as vision impaired as i am. Not a single slice was even close to the same size.. It is possible they were just having an off day because my friends pizza was no better. So i am going to wait a while and probably try this again. But i defiantly expect a better pie for the price. read more

I used to love this place. Now, their food has gone down the drain. The pizza dough tastes different, the toppings for the Greek pizza don't seem homemade. The ranch dressing and honey mustard are just average now. Before everything wowed us, now, not so much. read more

I ordered a cheese pizza on grubhub after seeing all the awesome reviews, but I was really disappointed! The dough is nice and thin, however huge parts are not covered with sauce or cheese, ended up with a huge crust. Crust is unevenly baked, too crunchy to eat and I usually like to eat the crust. I wasn't able to eat a large portion of the pie because it is just dry crust. The sauce had a nice fresh herbal flavor and the cheese is good, I wish it was more evenly baked and distributed. read more

Great local restaurant/ brew pub with quality service and tasty food. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Specific Gravity.

Went there the other day for an early birthday celebration. Have been there before and loves it. However this time I was very disappointed to say the least. We got pickles onion straws and 2 pizzas. The pickles were not as good as I remembered, the straws were salty and the pizzas were burned. Needless to say I was disappointed in the food. read more

My husband and I used to come here all the time back when we started dating (5+ years ago) and it was amazing. Today I was so unbelievably disappointed in the food. I ordered garlic knots and it was bread in a bowl of BUTTER. No taste of garlic, it literally tasted like butter and a little bit of bread, it was horrible. Then I ordered a brownie sunday and the brownie tasted like burnt chocolate, like it was heated up too long. I was just really disappointed. The only good thing was the server, she was amazingly sweet and attentive. And to top all of that off, I am fat, I know I'm fat, those booths are NOT for fat people. There was no room between myself and the table and holding my 5-month-old was almost impossible. But anyways, I am now sitting here, with my stomach all upset because I ate a months worth of butter on those garlic knots, never again. The ONLY reason I gave 2 stars was because the server was amazing. She was so sweet, I didn't say anything to her because it obviously isn't her fault the food was terrible. I really am just disappointed over this. At least my Pepsi was good I guess. We won't be returning here for awhile, if ever. read more

I placed an online order at 4:15pm through their website for a large pizza and selected the pickup time for 5:30pm... email confirmation confirmed that my order would be "ready" for pickup at this time. This was my first time eating at Specific Gravity. Unfortunately, the pizza wasn't ready until 6:15pm!! Yes, I get that you are busy on the weekends (Saturday) but I placed the order over an hour ago and have two hungry kids at home ready to begin our family pizza/movie night. Shouldn't my virtual order put me in some cue that ensures I am not superseded by dine-in customers? So why am I leaving such a positive review? Despite having to wait 45 minutes longer than expected, a conscientious decision-maker not only apologized but provided me with an extra pizza and a gift card for the wait. I am leaving this experience with a good taste in my mouth for more reasons than one (pun intended) and looking forward to returning. read more

Best pizza in town. Hannah is the best waitress/bartender. Gary is now the best bar manager that ever was

We stopped in here for dinner tonight. Ordered appetizers & two pizzas - gluten-free and a 1/2 cheese, 1/2 sausage-pepperoni. The waitress didn't seem to care either about the menu, our selections or our concerns regarding allergens (so sorry to bother you). I recognize the challenge allergies represent when trying to order food at a restaurant, but AT LEAST try to pretend you care; trust me, it actually goes along way! Both pizzas came out and were actually very good. The experience was further marred when I went to the growler station. The girl behind the counter was on the phone (taking an order), did not acknowledge me (even with eye contact), then, after the call ended, proceeded to help people other than me without so much as a word. Left this place and, quite frankly, don't see any real need to go back again. Overall rating: Customer Service - 0 Food - 4 read more

The pizza is delicious, but this place is very expensive. A 7" pizza is $11, 8 wings are $12, and a side salad was $8 but should have been $4. I truly enjoyed the pizza it was definitely delish! The side salad was pretty good. The wings were average, nothing special about them. The barmaid took my order and was helpful in helping me with my food choices. The wait wasn't too long, but they weren't really busy the time that I went. All in all, I would like to try more of their pizza but, I can get an XL pizza at Pat's pizza for the price of their 7" pizza. read more

An absolute favorite for my girlfriend and I! We're here nearly every week or two; she loves trying different beer and I'm addicted to key largo seasoning (perfect dry rub on wings or fries)! Specialty pizzas are what really sell us on this place, my personal favorites being the Big Mac and General Tso's. If you have a sweet tooth, you've gotta try the donuts! Docked one star only because of a few off nights when the food didn't quite hit the mark (pizza was either way too greasy, or some of the toppings were missing). read more
