Italiano's reminds me of a restaurant/deli that'd be in suburbs near Washington DC. Very genuine people working there, always friendly. Service is A okay - Try the Zeppi or cheesesteak pizza . Everything I've eaten is delicious, spot on. Ambiance- simple restaurant- eat and go- don't get to comfortably-Lol Theirs outdoor area to eat if you'd like with umbrellas as well. Never been but, Saturday nights are dance night ....maybe Friday too - please check to be sure .I hear it's a nice turnout. Local police frequent Italianos too. Found this hidden gem while on vacation with my family. Looked like a nice place from the outside so we decided to go in. Being that we are from Northern New Jersey, I wasn't sure what to expect but this place was really good. The waitress was so friendly and nice and the food was delicious. My wife and I had the chicken Parm, which was really, really good. All meals were cooked to order. My kids had pizza and a cheesesteak. We all enjoyed our meals. The beer was served in a frosted mug. Ordered two pizzas one being cheese the other pepperoni. Received two cheese pizzas and two orders of garlic knots which I had also ordered. Tried the pizza and tasted like cafeteria pizza. Was terrible, but then again the pizza could've been worse, cheese was decent but not all the way cooked, sauce tasted like it was from a can and the dough had to of been two weeks old. Garlic knots were one of the worst ive ever had in my life, smelt terrible, and tasted even worse. For a place that advertises some of the best pizza in salisbury, they will never receive my business again. read more

Good people, good food. We went on a Friday night our first visit. Ordered way too much but enjoyed every bite. Spinach roll (Stromboli like) was huge and very good oozing with cheese and spinach (too much spinach for us but that's a personal taste issue). We had salads (decent), cheese ravioli (very good) and spaghetti with meatballs (good). I could drink their red sauce! Ordered a slice to try and ate it the next day and it was a very good New York style pizza. Service was very kind and accommodating. ** Return visits just as good. We travel through Salisbury a couple times a year. I found this place while searching my phone map app in our hotel room. We usually go to Applebees or Chilis. This will be our new take out dinner spot when we stay over in Salisbury. Great portions and quality. It was very clean looking as well. Time for take out service was reasonable. Cafe Italiano What you expect in a Italian/Pizza/Subs strip mall restaurant. Gas ovens with patio brick exterior, so, technically brick oven? Dough was flat, no air bubbles, no char. Sauce ? was there sauce, couldn't tell. Cheese is crumbled 'blend' that melts into a non-string covering of, is there sauce? A lot of pepperoni helped. I'm working at a client site and the guys love this place. I see why. The staff is also friendly and courteous. I really liked this place. Ok, this place is just weird. I was looking for a quick, cheap, casual dinner on the last night of a business trip before leaving town in the morning. I stopped in here with my mind on a small Italian dinner of some sort, hoping for one of those out-of-the-way, off-the-charts mom and pop restaurants. Ahhh... No. The first thing you notice is that there are signs all over the place, inside and outside, for "Noches Latinas", and there are nightclub lighting systems suspended from the ceiling. Everyone behind the counter is Latino and speaking Spanish, and the TV's are all set to Spanish language, and international soccer competitions. The place basically looks like a grade-school classroom, except for the kitchen space and necessary restaurant furnishings. Avocado green walls. Scuffed, dirty linoleum floors and cheap tables and chairs. The space is large, but there was only one other party seated when I stopped in at about 7:00pm on a Friday night. That should have been the clue to turn around and walk out. I ordered the Italian sub sandwich, a small side salad, and a small order of fries. The waitress asks me, what do you want on your sandwich? I'm thinking, ok, I've been in numerous sandwich shops and Italian restaurants before, and no one has ever asked me this. The waitress explains that they put meat and cheese on the sandwich, and everything else, I have to ask for. I ask if there is a list of options. No, there is not. So it turns into a guessing game. Just, stupid. I would have been way better off going to a Jimmy John's - they actually know what an Italian sub sandwich is, and would have done it twice as well for half the price. In the end, absolutely nothing remarkable about this place. A study in mediocrity - the space, the food, the service. I do not recommend, and would never come back. Good luck as a Hispanic nightclub, I guess. If that's what you are, then why don't you stop kidding people about being an Italian-themed restaurant? read more

I got in late to Salisbury, after a long drive and a longer day. I was in on family business, and nobody felt like cooking. My grandmother, a wonderful sweet lady, suggested we try Cafe Italiano restaurant over by the mall. We all love Italian food, so we checked out the menu. As a sometimes starving, but always resourceful college student, I had dined solely that day on a gifted tin of baked goods from a flamboyant baker friend of mine. I was understandably looking forward to a wholesome meal. We made our selection and phoned it in; chicken feorentino, tuna salad, and baked stuffed shells. I could practically smell the white wine sauce of the feorentino as it wafted to me from across the Center at Salisbury. My mouth watered. I placed the order at 8:45 and the woman who took my order said it would arrive in 45 minutes. At 9:50 I called. I reached an uncooperative man with a heavy accent. I politely asked about my order. His reply, "Ooooh, I tried to call you. We don't have the chicken for the chicken feorentino." "Really? You tried to call?" I continued, "my phone displays no missed calls." He uselessly repeated what he'd already said. "Well, do you still want the other two things?" Incredibly frustrated, I admonished him. "Of course not, you're already closed, it's ten o'clock. Are you even still cooking?" I pulled up my bank account and noted that I'd already been charged for the food that I would never see. This is no way to run a business. read more

Surprisingly good food tucked away in a small space. We've meant to try this place for years. I got Chicken Florentine which was excellent and had to bring half of it home in a box. Don't waste your time spending your money go into this place it's horrible the food is OK the service is horrible. The waitress didn't like that I told her I wanted 4 wedges of lemon in my water, she brought out our food, messed up doing that then, never did she come to our table to check on us, my pregnant daughter was really wanting some more water I had to go get it myself,she gave us our check and she decided she didn't like it she wasn't gonna wait on us at check out I asked her at check out if she treated all her customers like this and she said I was very militant...I wonder if she even knows what the definition of that word means in no way, shape or form was I ever aggressive or combative to her there. I told her what I wanted because I am a person who knows what I like, she couldn't handle that and she ate her food in front of the customers which is horrible customer service for a waitress.
