Finally a young woman in jeans and a baggy oversized camo hoodie breezed by us and said to come this way. We sat down. I stopped at Mojo's while looking for a spot in Salisbury last night, seemed very nice so I sat at the bar. My daughter and I started conversing with a couple next us and they suggested a Cucumber martini. great suggestion while talking for hours we had about three martinis'. After the couple left I started watching the bartenders and I was so impressed at how the two of them worked the bar. no customer was waiting for their drinks, they were the most attentive bartenders I've ever seen. Not only were the drinks good but they were so fast, efficient, friendly that I will never pass Salisbury again without stopping in. read more

Minutes away from Salisbury University is Mojo's Urban Eatery. Located on north main street in Salisbury, MD. Free street parking after 5pm. Normally it is pay to park kiosks nearby. First time going and it is a bit confusing. No visible sign located on or above the restaurant. I seen people sitting in a patio seating and I had to ask them if that is Mojo's. They said yes. Upon walking up to the building there is a sideway sign then directly behind the sideway sign there is the Mojo's name on the building. Once inside a bit confusing. The ladies at the bar seen me glancing back and forth to see if I should wait to be seated or wait for someone to greet us. They asked me if we want the bar or the restaurant. I said restaurant. She pointed to the left to the other side of the building. We walked over and immediately told we can choose our seating. Waitress came over bought us menus and asked for a drink order. We wanted water. She said they only have tap water. I'm ok with tap however, mom does not drink tap water. She suggested a sweet tea. No. Coffee, only regular not decaffeinated. So mom had a meal with no drink. I ordered spicy crab dip as appetizer. Mom ordered shrimp & grits with no ham as advertised. I ordered a taco pizza. Spicy crab dip came out. Hot & fresh. Served with slightly burned pita bread. I thoughly enjoyed the crab dip. Shrimp & grits came out. And mom was very dissatisfaction. The grits weren't cooked enough to her satisfaction. Shrimp.& grits went back to the kitchen. The taco pizza came out. AMAZING!!!! Although I filled up on spicy crab dip I only ate 1 slice. Shrimp & grits came out again...better but still not to her satisfaction. She ended up taking it home The taco pizza and spicy crab dip is amazing. I would definitely come.back again. I came to Salisbury to visit a friend and she suggested this restaurant, and baby it did not disappoint! They have a nice outdoor eating space under a covered pavilion. Indoors they have a bar and dining area on one side and a small dining area on the other which is divided by an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. We happened to be there on a Wednesday and the special was BOGO entree 50% off. I ordered off of the specials menu and got the fried turkey wings with smashed potatoes and spinach au gratin. Absolutely delish! The wings were hot and juicy on the inside with a golden brown skin on the outside that was seasoned with more then salt and pepper. Yum! The potatoes were good especially dipped in the side of herb au jus, but let's talk about the spinach au gratin. That spinach was indeed something to write home to mama about! The spinach was fresh with a cheesy top and real bacon crumbles on top which gave it a bit of a smoky flavor. For my drink I had the Rabies Shot which consisted of Parrot Bay Coconut, Blue Curaçao, OJ,and lemon lime soda. I like sweet drinks, but this drink lacks any real flavor to me. It was like drinking upgraded Kool Aid. For dessert we had the Caramel cake and I loved it. A dense yellow cake with caramel crunch and a creamy frosting sat between the layers and a nice thick layer of caramel covered the top with whipped cream. I absolutely love caramel and this cake was irresistible to a caramel lover such as myself:) This is a place I have already told my friend we must go to on my next visit because I want to try the pizzas next. First time in. Great staff, but just wasn't impressed with the flavors. Wrap was bland and fishy. The party I was with did have Mojo's Pickle pizza and their special of the day Chicken stir fry and they liked both. Looking forward to giving Mojos another try soon. read more

I've upped my star rating for Mojo's. The prime rib aioli sandwich is incredible tasting. The crispy onions and herb au jus gave this sandwich so much flavor! Best ever sandwich bun which kicked this sandwich up. This will be my sandwich I order when I eat at Mojo's. YUM! read more

Went here on a Saturday evening after being in town for my Uncles funeral around 9:30 pm on a Saturday. There was no DJ and the vibe is that of an eatery. I had to ask for menus once seated as I was never greeted by a host. I asked to order food and was told they had decided to stop cooking for the night. A few different friends told me Mojos was the best spot in town. When I walked in the waitress greeted me with a grin and then told me jokingly. Aren't you on the banned list ? I was like who me. I felt a little uncomfortable at first. She kinda walked away embarrassed and later revealed that I reminded her of a friend who frequents there, it was a case of mistaken Identity. After that was cleared up everything was great. I was seated at a stool table. Later i saw some friends and joined them. Mojos has a cool vibe to it. small friendly bar area and some stools and tables. The outdoor patio looks like a spot I will have to check out another day. The food: A friend recommended the Chesapeake it was definitely delicious. I enjoyed the fried pickles I shared with a friend as well. The drinks; I really enjoyed the drinks. I definitely need to check out there happy hour. The drinks were reasonably priced but it's not the most affordable in town. Will def have to see if they have a happy hour menu. read more

Salad came after the main course. And the fries came out cold also after the mains. Drink orders were wrong. Just fail after fail after fail. Worst experience ever. Went on a Monday night, not too busy. My friend ordered chicken Tatas which were drenched on sauce(probably to mask the real taste, not enhance the chicken). She told our server that she didn't want them but the server not only brought more but still charged us for them.They already came out literally a minute before our meal. Yes, we're ordered as appetizers. My appetizer was no better and also came out right before our meal. I could see mine sitting under the heat lamps for over 5 minutes with the server walking by them constantly, looking at them and walking by. Never came and asked us if we wanted another wine, water etc. For what I paid for the meal, we should have gotten treated much better. Will never go back to this place!!!!! read more

I've lived in Salisbury my whole life and just recently visited this place for lunch. Margherita pizza: to die for... buffalo cheese dip: delicious with their homemade tortilla chips... I always have a good time here. I love that although it is a bar they produce very unique dishes. It is a bar/restaurant with a great atmosphere. It's small and intimate but fun and lively in the weekends. They have happy hour specials mon-Friday. The food is delicious and I never have a bad experience here. read more

Dear Mojo's- I do not know how you came to be located in downtown Salisbury, but you are a welcome addition my friend. With your laid back style and cute doggie logo, i would expect you to be just any old hole in the wall pub. Well Mojo- you were everything i dreamed you would be and more. I often loathe eating in Salisbury, knowing my options are chain restaurants and greasy spoon types. But you, oh Mojo's - you are the cat's meow (or the dog's woof?). I digress. I ordered a special- Filet (cooked and seasoned to perfection) with Bacon risotto (need i say more?!? it has bacon, i'm sold) with broccoli. This was perhaps the most amazing meal i have ever eaten. I devoured every morsel. My companions were happy with their meals as well - there were some really nice house cut fries, a very large burger, and some other items ordered for our table. Mojo- i don't hold this against you of course, but there were a few things we wanted to order that you were out of. It only made us a bit sad, but it's ok - it just means that you have great stuff and other people know it too. Great job Mojo- i will certainly be back again. Hands down the most underrated establishment in the 'bury. Go for the specials and they will never let you down. I love this place and constantly tell people to try it! Servers are always fun, helpful and ready to help. They rotate beers often so there are always freah choices. The specials always blow my mind. They range from antelope as an app or amazing steaks- I will always order whatever dish has the parmesan risotto! My husband lives for chicken tatas! Never a fail... I've been to this bar a hand full of times over the last couple of years. In my opinion it's just an OK bar. It's close to Market St Inn so I tend to hop there later in the evening. Food: 2 weeks ago I ordered the steamed mussles with mushroom sauce and bacon...not very good. It tasted like they reconstituted cream of mushroom soup and poured it over the mussles. For $10 you get 8 mussles. The next day we ordered a pizza with spicy pork (see pic). The bottom of the crust was quite charred. The top of the pizza sat pools of grease, did not look appetizing and tasted, eh. Upside is that they have $2 natty bohs all the time. Food and drink specials throughout the week. Craft beers are a bit pricey. Orange crush specials on the weekend. Bar food served till midnight. Service: Bartenders are friendly and attentive. The one time we sat at a table on the bar side service was very slow. Seems a trend in Salisbury. Ha. Atmosphere: Dj on the weekends, great music. Gets crowded on the weekends. I so so wanted to like this place. It's a cute little bar type place and they had a DJ when I came in. However, there's only one wait staff and the poor guy was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Considering he was only one there he was doing a really good job but they were way understaffed. I ordered a little beer sampler and that was good.... But then it was downhill from there. I had the scallops which very small and topped with some sort of bacon puree something that was so salty there was no way to eat it. And I typically like me some salt. I substituted the potato salad for the rice and it was extremely bland and under seasoned. It came with sauteed brussel sprouts and those were ok but nothing to write home about. I'm pretty sorry I wasted my dinner expense money on this place. read more

I was in town for business for a couple of nights, and this place being among the more interesting looking on Yelp, I decided to give it a go for dinner on the first evening. Ok, it's a Thursday night, 8:00pm, and the place is jammed full and busy. A single high table for two left in the bar. That's a good sign. Typically ecletic bar decor, with canine-themed pieces and drawings on the ceilings and walls, other funky art and bar signage, and attractively finished, painted concrete floors. Pretty typical college-town chic. Kelly the Waitress did a terrific job all the way through through the meal. I wasn't looking to drink alcohol this evening, thought there was a full bar and no shortage of good beers on offer. I opted for the seared ahi appetizer and a small side salad. Service was fast, and neither of the dishes disappointed. The ahi came with a pleasant and flavorful wasabi sauce that I really enjoyed, and that complimented the ahi nicely. Lots of happy people here having a really great time, and that included me. If you're visiting town and looking for a fun, casual place to eat, Mojo's will not disappoint. A nice property, great people, and an interesting selection of reasonably priced food and drink to satisfy just about anybody. I really enjoyed my visit. read more
