Minutes away from Salisbury University is Mojo's Urban Eatery. Located on north main street in Salisbury, MD. Free street parking after 5pm. Normally it is pay to park kiosks nearby. First time going and it is a bit confusing. No visible sign located on or above the restaurant. I seen people sitting in a patio seating and I had to ask them if that is Mojo's. They said yes. Upon walking up to the building there is a sideway sign then directly behind the sideway sign there is the Mojo's name on the building. Once inside a bit confusing. The ladies at the bar seen me glancing back and forth to see if I should wait to be seated or wait for someone to greet us. They asked me if we want the bar or the restaurant. I said restaurant. She pointed to the left to the other side of the building. We walked over and immediately told we can choose our seating. Waitress came over bought us menus and asked for a drink order. We wanted water. She said they only have tap water. I'm ok with tap however, mom does not drink tap water. She suggested a sweet tea. No. Coffee, only regular not decaffeinated. So mom had a meal with no drink. I ordered spicy crab dip as appetizer. Mom ordered shrimp & grits with no ham as advertised. I ordered a taco pizza. Spicy crab dip came out. Hot & fresh. Served with slightly burned pita bread. I thoughly enjoyed the crab dip. Shrimp & grits came out. And mom was very dissatisfaction. The grits weren't cooked enough to her satisfaction. Shrimp.& grits went back to the kitchen. The taco pizza came out. AMAZING!!!! Although I filled up on spicy crab dip I only ate 1 slice. Shrimp & grits came out again...better but still not to her satisfaction. She ended up taking it home The taco pizza and spicy crab dip is amazing. I would definitely come.back again. Minus 1 star for the outdoor signage and bottled water.

I came to Salisbury to visit a friend and she suggested this restaurant, and baby it did not disappoint! They have a nice outdoor eating space under a covered pavilion. Indoors they have a bar and dining area on one side and a small dining area on the other which is divided by an open kitchen where you can see the food being prepared. We happened to be there on a Wednesday and the special was BOGO entree 50% off. I ordered off of the specials menu and got the fried turkey wings with smashed potatoes and spinach au gratin. Absolutely delish! The wings were hot and juicy on the inside with a golden brown skin on the outside that was seasoned with more then salt and pepper. Yum! The potatoes were good especially dipped in the side of herb au jus, but let's talk about the spinach au gratin. That spinach was indeed something to write home to mama about! The spinach was fresh with a cheesy top and real bacon crumbles on top which gave it a bit of a smoky flavor. For my drink I had the Rabies Shot which consisted of Parrot Bay Coconut, Blue Curaçao, OJ,and lemon lime soda. I like sweet drinks, but this drink lacks any real flavor to me. It was like drinking upgraded Kool Aid. For dessert we had the Caramel cake and I loved it. A dense yellow cake with caramel crunch and a creamy frosting sat between the layers and a nice thick layer of caramel covered the top with whipped cream. I absolutely love caramel and this cake was irresistible to a caramel lover such as myself:) This is a place I have already told my friend we must go to on my next visit because I want to try the pizzas next. The Taco Pizza and Pickle pizza are calling my name:)

First time in. Great staff, but just wasn't impressed with the flavors. Wrap was bland and fishy. The party I was with did have Mojo's Pickle pizza and their special of the day Chicken stir fry and they liked both. Looking forward to giving Mojos another try soon.

My husband and I frequent mojos because they never disappoint us. They have weekly specials which are always delicious. We have not been able to find a better filet around town. Bartenders and servers are attentive and engaging. Would highly recommend this locally owned restaurant!

Prime rib with shallot aioli was amazing so far, the best sandwich I've had there IMHO

I've upped my star rating for Mojo's. The prime rib aioli sandwich is incredible tasting. The crispy onions and herb au jus gave this sandwich so much flavor! Best ever sandwich bun which kicked this sandwich up. This will be my sandwich I order when I eat at Mojo's. YUM!

A few different friends told me Mojos was the best spot in town. When I walked in the waitress greeted me with a grin and then told me jokingly. Aren't you on the banned list ? I was like who me. I felt a little uncomfortable at first. She kinda walked away embarrassed and later revealed that I reminded her of a friend who frequents there, it was a case of mistaken Identity. After that was cleared up everything was great. I was seated at a stool table. Later i saw some friends and joined them. Mojos has a cool vibe to it. small friendly bar area and some stools and tables. The outdoor patio looks like a spot I will have to check out another day. The food: A friend recommended the Chesapeake it was definitely delicious. I enjoyed the fried pickles I shared with a friend as well. The drinks; I really enjoyed the drinks. I definitely need to check out there happy hour. The drinks were reasonably priced but it's not the most affordable in town. Will def have to see if they have a happy hour menu.

    Empanada special appetizer.

Cool vibe and people for a bar. Just don't come here for a meal. The food was subpar at best. Wrong appetizer. Then food wasn't very good. Empanada special was basically pork Sheppard pie. Salad came after the main course. And the fries came out cold also after the mains. Drink orders were wrong. Just fail after fail after fail. This should just be a bar with bar munchies and I think it would be much better off.

Small plate was dirty and had to be replaced. One of the utensil sets still had food on the fork and the whole set was replaced. One of the napkins had hair embedded in it. Food was served hot and was tasty. Husband's prime rib was slightly over cooked to medium when he asked for medium rare.

Craft is craft, intention is intention, and good hospitality doesn't always come with tasting spoons and tweezered microgreens. Sometimes it shows up in a big white-wood dining room on the Eastern Shore with rowing flags, glass walls, and a view of the water. Brew River in Salisbury, Maryland fits that description exactly. On first walk-in, it checks every coastal-restaurant box: nautical motif, bright light, big windows, oars on the wall. The early reaction is, "Oh, here we go... coastal form #762." But then something happens: it doesn't go kitschy. It goes comfortable. Warm. Unforced. For a place that's basically white and glass, it manages real ease -- a room you actually want to sit in. Service sealed the deal. Our server -- a tiny, tattooed, extraordinarily competent powerhouse -- delivered better technical service than I've had in dining rooms where the bill comes in a leather binder. Knowledgeable, efficient, zero pretension. Proof that good training and good attitude beat choreographed snobbery every time. The menu leans American/craft-brew/seafood, and while the pricing looks modest, the value is what's exceptional. We started with snow crab clusters -- five for $38 -- a number that feels like someone accidentally hit the wrong key. They arrived well-cooked, thoughtfully presented with multiple sauces, and easy to work with. Yes, in a busy semi-mass-market kitchen, they were steamed a touch longer than ideal. They were still enjoyable, but not handled with the precision that could make them great. Fair critique, fair result. The cream of crab soup was the surprise. I'm not a fan of cream-based seafood soups; too often they're a bowl of roux with a cameo from a crustacean. But this one? Balanced. Slightly thickened with more flour than necessary -- a reduction would've been the more honest route -- but the flavor was terrific. Properly cooked crab, good sherry backbone, smart seasoning, pepper in the right place, none of the salt-overcompensation you get at coastal spots aiming for "hearty." Fictitiously thickened? Yes. Beautifully done? Also yes. The crab egg roll sounded predictable on the menu. It wasn't. Instead of the usual filler-heavy Asian-ish tube with a memory of seafood, out came a tiny crab chimichanga -- a crisp, generous, surprising little snack that could absolutely function as a small entrée. Warm, crab-forward, genuinely delicious. And then there was the moment that told me everything about this restaurant's soul: the bread bowl. I'm old enough to remember when upscale meant warm bread at the start -- not as a filler, but as a gesture of hospitality. Brew River took that instinct and elevated it. A beautifully presented bowl of small corn muffins (one of the best I've had, and I don't say that lightly), blueberry muffins, and a sweet raisin-bread bite. Not one of them phoned in. It felt like hospitality -- the real kind, not the corporate checklist version. That same intention showed up everywhere: real cloth napkins in nautical blue and white, proper silverware, clean placement, thoughtful pacing. Someone clearly cares about how people feel in the room. Drinks? Fine. Crushes were acceptable. The infused margarita was pleasant, not memorable, but no one's coming here for mixology awards. A touch more alcohol wouldn't hurt, but that's a preference, not a flaw. What matters is this: the place knows exactly what lane it's in and delivers more than it has to. It's priced fairly, but the real story is the value -- far above what the menu numbers suggest. Would I go back? Absolutely. Happily. I'd try more dishes. I'd bring friends. Any time I'm in Salisbury -- or anywhere along the Eastern Shore -- Brew River earns another visit. It's not trying to be high dining. It's trying to be good. And that's exactly what it is.
