He was comprehensive and collaborative, asking me questions about my preferences and walking me through each step. He was extremely knowledgeable and took his time to achieve the best possible sound in my room. I was floored at how much better the speakers sounded after his consultation. Soundstage is much wider and the bass energy more controlled. Time alignment of highs was improved after he recommended the taller spikes for the upper module. Listening now with a glass of scotch and a big smile on my face.

Next time I need a repair, I'll have to try somewhere else because this place is CRAZY expensive. I paid $150 just for them to figure out what the solution was. That fee is not applied to what you pay for the actual repair should you decide to have them fix it like it would at a car repair place; it's just $150 to have them tell you what's wrong. They then quoted me $250 to reinstall windows and fix a broken hinge. I was iffy but said yes partially due to the sunken cost of the diagnosis and mostly because they promised me they would be able to upgrade my laptop to Windows 11, which the laptop had been telling me was not possible. So this seemed somewhat worth it to me to have them do. I went to pick up the fixed laptop, and immediately noticed that they had to drill totally new screw holes into it to install the new hinge. It looks pretty bad, but I'm really not picky about aesthetics so I let it go. But then they started it up to show me it was working, and I cannot even explain how INCREDIBLY slow it was as they tried to use it. Like, Windows 98 was faster than this thing was running, and I had previously never had any speed issues with it. I said something along the lines of how disappointed I was that I had now spent $400 and honestly couldn't even realistically use the laptop anymore. They offered to just install Windows 10 again instead, but like I said, the main reason I decided to pay all that money was because they assured me they could upgrade it to Windows 11. So they ended up refunding me for the repairs (I'm still out the diagnosis fee) and wiped the laptop and gave it back to me. After going home and doing some research on my own, I was able to reinstall Windows 10 on my own in about a half hour for $10. I cannot believe they were going to charge me almost $200 to do that!!! My laptop is now working exactly as it did before, and I learned my lesson.

TLDR took my laptop to Arbor Computers for webcam issue, they told me it was the motherboard and…read morenot worth fixing, returned my laptop with screen falling off and put together incorrectly. I gave them a chance to fix it, they returned the computer still broken and now with cracks in the casing. Now having the time where I did not need the laptop for a while and scared of further damage, I took it to a different store. Here were some of the damages incurred under Arbor Computers care: -Broken backplate -Broken bottom plate -Missing screws -Screen detached and held in place by super thick double sided tape -Damaged cables The business that fixed the damages said they had never seen anything like it and were baffled how Arbor Computers had cocked up such a simply job so badly. They also fixed the camera Arbor Computers deemed unfixable without a $700 motherboard replacement; the motherboard was not the issue, not even close. Once again, if you value your electronics do not take it here, especially not a gaming laptop. They have no idea what they are doing and have no care for client's property.

I needed a last minute data transfer from my computer that died before going on the road to deliver a load of supplies to the hurricane areas in N Carolina. I hired Cochran Electric to install a 240 volt Tesla EV charger at my house. I'd called a couple of…read morethe companies recommended by Tesla, and Cochran's price was nearly half the cost of the "recommended" electricians. The charger worked perfectly for several months, until it started tripping the circuit breaker every time we charged the car. I called Cochran, honestly just for an idea of what might be causing the issue. They sent an electrician out the next day, he determined it was a bad breaker, replaced it free of charge and it's been working perfectly since. Sadly , that kind of "service after the sale" is hard to come by these days, but this company, including the office staff and the electricians, clearly make an effort to keep their customers happy long term. I honestly couldn't have been happier with either the initial installation or the follow up, I'm definitely a customer for life.
