Alvin is the absolute best, hands down. I've had a significant amount of AV work done in different houses, so I do have a frame of reference. This was a fairly simple project: mounts and TV's x 3, whole house speakers, Sonos, and Nest thermostats. Alvin and James were prompt and professional from start to finish. Everything was completed on time, and I was provided a quote ahead of time to pay online. They brought a vacuum to make sure everything was clean when they finished working. They are very easy to have in your space if you work from home. I was comfortable enough to leave them and run errands, which made the install day go quickly. I cannot recommend Alvin enough. Dont bother. This guy has too much going on and thinks some automation can completely substitute customer service. Scheduled a video consultation for an install in my family room. had to book 1-2 weeks out. Fine. Fast forward a week and a half and the video consultation is here. Left a meeting early to make myself available. Waited 10 minutes on the Zoom call before I hung up and called, google voice sends to voicemail, per usual, no big deal. Received a callback 5 minutes later, Alvin apologized explaining he had another consultation run longer than anticipated. Never received notice but a text or even an automated request to reschedule would have been acceptable. Maybe dont stack up so many consultations? While still talking to Alvin he confirms he has time and asks me to jump on facetime to work through the consultation. No more than a minute in Alvin has another call and asks if he can call me back. At that point enough of my time has been wasted and it's been made clear my business isn't important. If you're desperate to have Alvin do your install and you have time to waste on waiting around for him, go for it, looks like he does OK work. Dont be fooled by all the reviews. Theres plenty of other capable installers that value communication and customer service. read more

Alvin and a partner installed a new television in our loft and ran data lines from our basement, through the back corner of our pantry, and up into the 2nd floor. He also hid the cords hanging below the television in our family room. When data speeds for gaming on the new TV were slower than expected, Alvin came back to my house later that same evening. This is after I already paid him. He agreed that we should be getting better data speeds and spent 30 minutes trying to trouble shoot the system. He concluded that the issue was with our Gateway in our router (no, I don't know what this is) and asked me to try getting a new router from Comcast. I did that the next day and sure enough the problem was instantly resolved. These guys are very knowledgeable, skilled, and professional. If I ever have any audio/visual needs again, they will be my first call. read more

Alvin and his co-worker were awesome! As soon as they walked in, he asked if we preferred him to keep his shoes on or take them off. I was very appreciative of that considering I've had other service people come in and just walk through my house tracking all the dirt from outside. They installed our Honeywell WiFi-Thermostat for us very efficiently in an hour. They made sure to have it all set-up for us before they left. After a few hours, I was noticing that the house wasn't warming up to the set temperature and it was saying that it wasn't on the thermostat. We called Alvin back to see if he had any suggestions. He told us he would call us back as soon as he got off a job he was on. He called us back less than half an hour later and told us that he was coming back, it was going to be a 45-minute drive back to us! He said, "it's going to be cold tonight and we don't want you guys to freeze." He came and they went right to work. In half an hour, they were able to fix whatever needed to be done. They explained what went wrong and didn't charge us for the extra work. They left maybe around 8pm. We appreciated everything that they did for us and explained everything to us as well. The wiring on the thermostat manual was different from the set-up we have, so something got mixed up, but they fixed it in no time. We appreciated that they cared enough to come back same day and figure out what went wrong. We highly recommend Alvin and his team for electrical and wiring projects! read more
