So in the very beginning when I needed to realize our logo idea to fruition, I figured why not give him a try? One successful business season later, I am so glad I did. Not only did the owner, Alex Dogum, painlessly and synergistically help create a beautiful logo, I found out he could also make webpages. So he also created our beautiful website! beachbusmd.com. I mean the work speaks for itself. I had ZERO web design experience going in, but Alex set up a very snazzy website based on the Wordpress blog site, and even went above and beyond and took the time to train me on how to use and modify it (so he wouldn't have to spend 30 min to an hour every time I needed a minor change, which he always graciously did). It ran a Divi theme with multiple plugins, provided CMS access, and best of all could detect when being accessed by a smartphone and was designed with providing a smooth mobile website version in mind. Everyone uses their smartphones these days, so this was huge for our business. When the other option was just a plane jane website costing much much more with no mobile capability, Dogum Design provided a more modern, clean, user friendly, and streamlined website for much less. It even linked to our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! Very pleased with the work he did. There were some communication issues early on, but I realized it was because of me. A guy with Alex's talent is understandably very busy, having to work on multiple projects at any given time. Once I was more descriptive and got better at explaining what I wanted in detail, Alex put in the extra time and effort to provide a polished product, and met every deadline without fail. So word of advice, when hiring a talented, busy artist, don't always expect them to read your mind. Indigo Envelopes brought our sunflower theme to life on paper and even created a personalized crest for us - we were so impressed by their skills! The design was both fun and classy! The map they designed was especially pretty. We ordered a package that included invitations, details cards, response postcards, a band that held all the cards together, envelopes, and labels. Invitees commented on how beautiful the designs and styles were. My only concern was that a lot of time was spent going back and forth to correct small errors in the card content. The process could have gone more smoothly and the designers could have saved time if they paid more attention to small details (proofreading). Despite that, everything turned out well, and I recommend this vendor.

Turns out, Samantha used to be a teacher, and it shows in the way she articulates the class. It was easy to follow her instructions, and she was very hands-on with showing examples. Plus we got a pretty decent set of tools and goodies to take home with us! Since, I've purchased some of her watercolor artwork to hang at home. I am such a fan!
