To confirm the store was almost empty . I finally found a shirt I liked . As it was impossible to get help, I went on the BR website . Great on sale it seemed. Took it to the counter : " sorry others motifs are on sale but this one is not ". This person was actually pleasant. I actually didn't really care about a sale price or not but I was not OK with the overall service. I left and end ended up spending $370 next door at the Gap. BR Wisconsin -never again.

I was quite impressed by the friendlness of the sales associates. *I've forgotten his name, but he was thin Black man with a neck tattoo.* He was really helpful in finding the correct size for my pants. While I found what I was looking for, I did not think this location had too much variety for men's clothing. While I did not personally experience this, I thought one of the sales associates was a bit aggressive with a customer in regards to applying for a store credit card. I get that sales associates will receive bonuses based on the number of customers that sign up for a card. After a customer says no for the second time, then the sale associate should stop. For instance, my sales associate asked if I wanted to sign up for a card, and I said no. He followed up with the typical "if you sign up for a CC, you'll save X% on today's purchase" statement. After I said no for the second, he let it go. In my opinion, that's what the other sales associate should have done. This location validates parking with a purchase, but be sure to double check that you are using the correct parking garage.

Saks in Chevy Chase is a throwback to a more genteel era. Stores like this used to have snooty…read morereputations but nowadays I always find the staff very friendly and welcoming. While the standalone men's store across the District line is now sadly gone, the third floor is now the men's department and has just a good of a selection as the old store. What I like about Saks compared to Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales is that Saks still has a top notch, high quality private label collection of menswear basics. In addition, their sales can be great, especially on the private label clothes. The new parking lot arrangement is very odd. When you park you have to scan a QR code, pay for parking, and then Saks can give you a discount code inside that makes it free. It's a lot of steps for what used to be just handing over a validation ticket. Given that the clientele here skews quite old, I can't imagine this change has gone over well. If you are a regular customer, your sales associate can register your plate and then you don't need to go through this whole rigamarole each time.

I had placed an order on the app. I can see the transaction on my credit card. However, I cannot…read moresee the pending order on their website, nor have I received a confirmation email. I called their customer service about it. The wait was not too long. The customer service representative could not find anything about it. He seemed annoyed by my request. He gave me the phone number of a third party company that handles their credit card transaction to confirm whether the transaction went through or was a hold. He was ready to hang up to get rid of me. Why should I call a different company? Anyways, I did it, after being on hold for 20 minutes, the other representative was just as clueless, did not ask for any information. Once I told him it was an amex card, he told me they only handle visa and mastercard transactions. Now I need to call Saks again to find the subsidiary that handles their amex transaction?! What a horrible waste of time, and inefficient workflow. They should have audit logs in place for their representatives to access and understand what went wrong. They just had zero explanation and wasted my time for nothing.

Since they have no foresight and said that it was "store policy" to charge for new buttons, they lost another U$1K sale (since my wife wanted to buy dresses). Wake up management - help your customers with the small things, and you will reap more valuable sales. We won't be purchasing from this location every again.

You can find metered parking & sometimes neighborhood parking. The store isn't the same. The inventory is smaller. If you take the time to look, you can find a discounted handbag or gift item. There is a security presence that keeps out any trouble. This is the "scene of the crime" where I once knocked over a giant rack of shoes & the employee was nice about it. That would not happen now. They barely have any shoes. The register line can get long downstairs. There is another register area upstairs. I'm rooting for the store and hoping that things continue to improve. At least there were several employees on the floor. I didn't feel like an inconvenience on this visit.
