They were very professional on the phone, kept their appointment time, and the gentleman who came out was very personable. He advised what type of ants they were and proposed a treatment plan and we proceeded to sign a 1-year contract. Unfortunately, we truly came to regret choosing Native. We were told by the salesman that they would clear all the webbings and spiders from outside the home, but this was NEVER done during ANY of our treatments. The exterminator who came said that the red ants were a different type of ant than the salesman who came, which was off-putting. While the red ant situation in the bathroom did resolve for the most part, we would still one or two every once in a while, and the overall pest control was a joke. During the entire year of service we continued having sugar ants in the kitchen, centipedes that would make their way inside as well as in the yard, and a million black crazy ants allllll over the patio and around the yard. We called to complain and they supposedly sent a "manager" out to us, but he barely discussed anything with my husband. My husband wasn't even aware he was dealing with a "manager" and I had to let him know after the fact. He said the person who came out didn't do anything different than the usual service people- and the "manager" also failed to remove the spider webs from the windows and yard area. It was a joke. We had ONE good exterminator come- Rangel- who was really wonderful. I voiced my complaints and disappointment to him and he was surprised that in all the time we had been receiving service the webs had not been cleared. It had been about 6 months already. He took his time on our home and spent about 45 minutes thoroughly applying products around the yard and clearing all the webbing from all upstairs and downstairs windows as well as in the yard. After his visit things did seem slightly better for a bit- but things returned after a month or so. Native offers to come re-treat the home if pests continue, but it just becomes redundant and useless after a point. It resolved nothing. I am not sure what products they use but I feel like they must be watered down or something. For the sugar ants in the house they placed the ordinary plastic ant trap trays. You do understand that I can go buy those anywhere on my own? If I wanted plastic ant traps all over my window sills and counters I would have done that myself. Before you may think this is a "me" problem, I assure you I keep a clean home - and when we had Orkin for 2 years we never saw a single pest- inside or out. The yard was free from any kind of ants or spiders. No sugar ants inside. No centipedes. No palmetto roaches that like to come inside when it rains. Nothing. We went with Native because they talked a good talk and seemed so professional, and the price was better than Orkin- but I guess this was a case where you get what you pay for- or maybe not even that. I gave two stars for professionalism and organization.

Unfortunately, the communication and customer service throughout the process were extremely disappointing. My biggest issue was that I had to constantly seek out basic information that I expected the company to provide proactively. I was told I would receive an email with documentation explaining how to prepare my home for fumigation, including what items needed to be removed, what could remain, how to properly store food, what to expect during the process, and when I would be able to safely return home. I never received that information. I had to repeatedly reach out with questions, including having to ask for bags to properly store my food. Even on the day of service, I was still concerned about whether my food was being stored appropriately because I had not been given clear instructions beforehand. The scheduling and communication were also frustrating. I was initially given an 8 AM-8 PM timeframe, which is an extremely large window. I had to call myself to get a more specific timeframe, and even then, the company was delayed. I was told that it was "termite season" and they were busy. I completely understand that businesses get busy, but being busy doesn't prevent a company from communicating clearly and keeping customers informed. I also had questions about when I would be allowed back into my home and what the process would look like, and I had to continue reaching out for answers. Even as of today, there are still questions I feel I should have been provided answers to without having to repeatedly ask. At times, I honestly felt like I was bothering the staff simply by asking questions after my deposit had been paid. Communication through text messages was inconsistent and felt very disorganized. One positive is that the final price for the service was reasonable, although it was over $200 different from the initial virtual quote, which was another surprise. Overall, my frustration isn't necessarily with the service itself or the price it's with the lack of communication, preparation information, and customer guidance. When someone is having their home tented and fumigated, there are understandably a lot of questions and concerns. Customers shouldn't have to chase the company down for basic safety and preparation information. The service may be reasonably priced, but the communication needs significant improvement. I would strongly recommend providing customers with a detailed preparation packet/email, clear timelines, food-storage instructions, re-entry expectations, and proactive updates before and during the fumigation process. Price matches quality of service!

Most notably, in the information session they conducted on January 17, we were told that garages which were not attached to the houses (our is not attached) would not be tented and that non-perishable food items and medicines could be removed from the house and stored in the garage during the tenting. I had carefully packed and labeled ten boxes of food items and medicines and stored them in our garage the night before the tenting. On the morning the tenting began, I saw that fumigation warning signs had been attached to each of the garage doors. When I inquired about that, Juan, the owner of SPRAY'EM DEAD TERMITE & PEST MANAGEMENT told me that all the food had to be removed from the garage. I told him that I was staying in a hotel for the two nights of the tenting and had no place to move the food. Juan told me I was holding up their work and called me a f***ing a**hole. I lost my temper and replied with a curse. After emailing my condominium management company, I was advised that they would send some fumigation protection bags and that the food would be bagged and sealed and left in the garage. About an hour later, I was advised that the food in the garage had been safely bagged. When I returned to the house on February 7 after receiving a call that the house was cleared for occupancy, I returned to find that two of the boxes in the garage had not been bagged and that those boxes which had been bagged had been done so in a grossly careless and malicious manner. For example, a box of Equal sweetener packets was dumped in a bag without the box along with dog food which was emptied from a canister into the bag along with bottles of pills along with a bottle of peanut oil, the cap of which was not tightened. Much of the contents of the bag were coated with oil. Dog kibbles had to be picked apart from the food and medicines. A bag of sugar in a Ziplock bag was put in with the Ziplock bag unsealed and sugar spilled throughout the bag. Each of the three bags into which food had been dumped from the boxes was equally chaotic. We have lived in this townhouse since 1978 and this is our fifth time being tented for termites. Never before have we had a nightmare like this. UPDATE March 1, 2024 Today, Juan from SPRAY'EM DEAD TERMITE & PEST MANAGEMENT, through an intermediary, offered me $400 to remove this review.

Good morning everyone! Ok, if you are reading this review you are probably having a termite or…read morepest control problem right? Well so did I! Unfortunately, as I was looking in to several companies I found that many of the name brand companies like Orkin, Terminix, etc. really left a lot to be desired. Why you may ask well good question.... So for some of us that have opted to have spray foam insulation installed in our homes at some point, as it is some of the best insulation out there, it seems these companies (especially Orkin) have absolutely no interest in helping us out or even discussing any options with me. They flat out just said thanks but no thanks... Enter "The Termite Guys" and boy am I very glad I called this outfit. Let's just say they really know how to provide excellent customer service. Spoke to both Matthew and Eddie and both were knowledgeable and worked with me to treat my house for both dry wood termites and subterranean termites as well. After some discussion we coordinated getting the house treated at the same time I replaced my roof so I could treat all the new wood being installed. I can tell you that there are not many companies that are willing to do something like that but the Termite Guys are willing to work with you and do whatever it takes to get you taken care of. After treating my home, I opted for a maintenance plan where they come back periodically to inspect and retreat if necessary. One thing is for sure, here in South Florida all our homes are subject to getting termites at one point or another. When you do do you want to work with a national company that cares little to nothing about you and your home or do you want to work with a local company that cares and will work with you to put a plan together and get you taken care of. From my perspective, this company was a real pleasure to work with and I highly recommend you give them a call if you are looking to treat your home for termites. From a cost perspective they were very reasonable as well and offered me a great deal to perform a full treatment at my home. Hope this helps and wishing you a successful termite treatment project!

I will be recommending Royal Pest to all my friends in the area…read more I don't usually write very many reviews, but I feel like this is a business that I'm willing to spend a little time to write one. I'm so pleased with my pest service. Every time they come to spray my lawn or my interior, they are so kind and respectful. In addition if I ever have any problems, a quick call to the office is always answered by a very kind lady Marcy who is a true gem. For example, I called to mention that I saw some small pests indoors, and they were there within the week for an extra spray. Also, I am incredibly displeased with another service I bought prior to knowing royal pest, I'm sure everyone is familiar with Terminix. I already paid the initiation fee for termite control with Terminix, which was around $6000 for doing bait traps, but that is kind of where their service ended. Despite multiple calls to them, I haven't had any luck with having them come out a second time. I was thinking about switching to Royal pest for my termite control however, I already paid the initiation fee with Terminix and it doesn't really make sense to switch back over since I'm only paying a small continuation fee. But if I knew before, I would've used royal pest for everything. 5/5! 10/10 stars! Great company - Catherine Uthe
