I can't recommend Critter Cop highly enough! Jim, is a one-man operation, but he didn't come…read morealone--his sweet wife accompanied him and both were kind, professional, and confident in getting the job done. Together, they make an incredible team. We had a mama raccoon and her babies living in our attic, and Jim & Sally came out not once, not twice, but three times to make sure the job was done right. He was determined, thorough, and clearly cared about doing the job humanely and effectively. Throughout the entire process, they were both respectful of our home, took the time to explain everything, and made what could've been a stressful situation feel totally manageable. If you're dealing with a wildlife issue, this is 100% the team you want on your side. We're so grateful for their help! Thanks to Jim for his relentless "seek and evict" missions, our attic rave is officially over and those unwanted tenants have finally been shown the door! And the cherry on top? His pricing was reasonable and fair; no hidden fees, just honest rates for a job well done.

Let me share my experience. I know Jim personally. He used to brag about going out to Route 27 near…read morethe Everglades with an air rifle, using the animals he trapped for target practice. He once told me, with no remorse, how he slammed a cat against the wall because it was meowing or not listening to him. He described how the poor animal staggered around in circles afterward, clearly in distress. He knew I was an animal lover, yet he seemed to take pleasure in telling me these horrifying stories--almost as if he enjoyed my discomfort. One day, he came by where I lived and removed a dead duck, tossing it casually into the back of his truck. Moments later, I heard a loud thrashing noise coming from the truck bed. When I asked what it was, he told me it was a raccoon he had captured. That raccoon was trapped in the back of his truck--in the middle of summer, in Florida heat--right next to the decaying body of the duck. The smell was unbearable. When I asked him what he planned to do with the raccoon, he told me he'd take it out to Route 27 the next morning and shoot it with his air rifle. I said, "That raccoon's going to be in your truck all night?" and he just shrugged, like it was nothing. To those of you who have given him glowing reviews--I understand. He presents himself as friendly, knowledgeable, and competent. And yes, he can do a good job. But that's only one side of him. There's another side--the side I saw. The side that takes pleasure in torturing helpless animals. The stories he shared and boasted with me were disturbing beyond words. They made my skin crawl. I wish I had proof, but I don't. There are more stories...however, what I can do is be a voice for the voiceless. The next time someone hires him, ask what he does with the animals he traps. Transporting a raccoon to another location legally is extremely difficult. In most cases, they're euthanized--yes, even baby raccoons. Invasive animals can not be relocated, that's what he told me himself. He boasted about it. He talked about the Everglades and his air rifle, but that's not the part he shares with customers. It's been way too long since I've held my tongue...I'm sorry I didn't help the innocent raccoon that day...I felt so helpless Maybe the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) should take notice.

I'm a little embarrassed to write this, but hopefully what I went through will help others. I woke…read moreup one night and needed to use the facilities. As I was standing in front of the toilet doing my business, a rat swam up out of the drain. I had heard of this kind of thing happening, but I thought it was an urban legend. Nope. It can really happen. After chasing him down the drain with the toilet bowl brush, and shoving the brush into the drain to keep him away, I went online to see what could be done. Naturally, I turned to Yelp for an exterminator. I learned a few things; first, the rat did not come from the sewer, it came from the roof and down the sewer vent. That is now covered. Second, the rats were attracted to my bird feeder, which is now gone (sadly). Edgar came out and reviewed the entire house with me, showing me where they were getting in and laying out a plan of action that would eradicate them. I am beyond happy with the work he did. It's only been a little over a week and I can already see a huge difference. I did find out that they had made it into the attic, but they are being exterminated as I type this. Edgar is amazing. He knows what he's doing, he is incredibly thorough and he does everything he can to ensure that he doesn't make a mess in the house. I was very impressed with him, and not surprised given that he has 62 reviews and 5 stars. When I checked his website I found that I was technically out of his range, but he agreed to come anyway. This man is the real deal. His work is excellent, his prices are fair, he knows what he's doing and he will help you if you have a rat problem. I cannot stress enough how awesome he is. I am very happy to give him a five star review because he deserves it.

After 1/2 dozen times or so of playing I'll fill it in and you dig it out again with some little nameless, faceless albeit ambitious opponent and seeing it was now creating a burrow near my drain pipe I decided I better call professional "critter deportation. But, above all else no matter what it was I didn't want it hurt or killed. At first I didn't have an inkling what it could be and frankly I didn't care. I owned pet rats growing up so even the vilest of vermin to most people is still wrong to kill to ME! Just an FYI of useless trivia. There is an honest to God study that showed children that own rats as pets have an easier time learning concepts and remembering them. No idea why this is so, but it was a valid study. Parents, your kids need rats! But, I digress. Anyway, I began using Yelp to call several places to get prices and opinions on what it could be while avoiding the business' that showed pics of them killing intrusive animals. It's was enlightening. Like all business' you get the gamut of highly professional to rude and aloof to stupidity that even you know is wrong. One of the business' I called (on Yelp) looked at the pics and said "I'm going to do you a favor and save you a bunch of money! This is from your sprinklers." I replied really? Hmmmm that's odd because when I fill the holes the very next day there are little mounds of dirt opening the hole again with VERY obvious big claw marks in it. Plus, it's also odd because we just laid our irrigation system and we have absolutely NO piping in that area. His response: "All I can tell you is what I know, and I KNOW this is from your sprinklers." Shaking my head I was done with nonsense so after calling several and getting exorbitant fees, idiot ideas, and people who didn't call you back I finally reached Bobbie Sue the owner of AAA Critter Trapper. She responded immediately, her fees were reasonable and she could be here the next day. Can I get an Amen?!?! She also guaranteed me that she traps humanly and releases not killing or even harming the animal. She was here first thing the next day with her team. She identified the holes as being from an armadillo (other knowledgable people had advised the same) and began by fencing off all the entrances & exits and putting a trap inside. Because armadillos move around and sometime have several burrows I had been adcised already that trapping it wasn't guaranteed. She left the fencing up and the trap in it for 3 days. When nothing was found in the trap she assured me it was safe to assume the burrow was unoccupied and filling it in wasn't going to trap and kill an animal inside. Her and her team did the work filling in the holes starting with jagged marble rocks. She advised me that most animals can't or won't dig out the blunt sharp rocks that can be found at any garden center. She advised me to then cover them in top soil to allow my lawn to recover the areas and finally she advised me how to clear our lawn of Grub Worms which is what the armadillos are looking for to begin with. I was elated by her prompt response, professionalism and her regard to resolve the matter completely. The morning they came to remove the fencing and close the burrow holes it was pouring rain. Her and her team couldn't have cared less. They did the work they needed to do never making the rain an issue. I guess when your job involves working out in the elements, the elements don't stop the work. So, If you have an issue with rodents, wild life, or problems from intrusive animals I highly recommend Bobbie Sue and her team. A woman is the right man for the job!
