We were experiencing some large red ants in our upstairs bathroom, and we decided to contact Native for an evaluation. I was really impressed with my initial experience. They were very professional on the phone, kept their appointment time, and the gentleman who came out was very personable. He advised what type of ants they were and proposed a treatment plan and we proceeded to sign a 1-year contract. Unfortunately, we truly came to regret choosing Native. We were told by the salesman that they would clear all the webbings and spiders from outside the home, but this was NEVER done during ANY of our treatments. The exterminator who came said that the red ants were a different type of ant than the salesman who came, which was off-putting. While the red ant situation in the bathroom did resolve for the most part, we would still one or two every once in a while, and the overall pest control was a joke. During the entire year of service we continued having sugar ants in the kitchen, centipedes that would make their way inside as well as in the yard, and a million black crazy ants allllll over the patio and around the yard. We called to complain and they supposedly sent a "manager" out to us, but he barely discussed anything with my husband. My husband wasn't even aware he was dealing with a "manager" and I had to let him know after the fact. He said the person who came out didn't do anything different than the usual service people- and the "manager" also failed to remove the spider webs from the windows and yard area. It was a joke. We had ONE good exterminator come- Rangel- who was really wonderful. I voiced my complaints and disappointment to him and he was surprised that in all the time we had been receiving service the webs had not been cleared. It had been about 6 months already. He took his time on our home and spent about 45 minutes thoroughly applying products around the yard and clearing all the webbing from all upstairs and downstairs windows as well as in the yard. After his visit things did seem slightly better for a bit- but things returned after a month or so. Native offers to come re-treat the home if pests continue, but it just becomes redundant and useless after a point. It resolved nothing. I am not sure what products they use but I feel like they must be watered down or something. For the sugar ants in the house they placed the ordinary plastic ant trap trays. You do understand that I can go buy those anywhere on my own? If I wanted plastic ant traps all over my window sills and counters I would have done that myself. Before you may think this is a "me" problem, I assure you I keep a clean home - and when we had Orkin for 2 years we never saw a single pest- inside or out. The yard was free from any kind of ants or spiders. No sugar ants inside. No centipedes. No palmetto roaches that like to come inside when it rains. Nothing. We went with Native because they talked a good talk and seemed so professional, and the price was better than Orkin- but I guess this was a case where you get what you pay for- or maybe not even that. We recently had the second application of the essential oil mosquito control and I couldn't be happier! Finally, my family and I can enjoy our terrace, backyard, tiki bar and garden without having to swat those nasty, pesty mosquitoes that our Miami tropical weather is known for! The twice-a-month essential oil applications-- although not cheap -- not only keep the mosquitoes away, it also smells lovely and doesn't harm our pets, butterflies, homegrown vegetable garden or fruits. I just don't see much difference to be honest, I live in a building of 13 units I believe maybe 14. I don't know if everyone is getting service done, giving them the benefit of doubt...although the building itself has this company take care of the entire building, maybe my neighbors aren't getting service. I don't know . I've had this company for over two years and honestly, they're great people, but maybe their poison is not strong enough or once in a month is not enough? I keep my place immaculate. I even went to the length of not eating in My Apartment for three months no food in my house other than beverages and ice still, I saw very little difference in Pestcontrol., I'm not sure if they take care of the rats on the outside of the building, but we had some small mice climbing up the palm trees. They're gone, but I have to say that their German cockroaches that came through my house I had to purchase several other professional products to do it myself to get rid of the bugs , after three months of nothing be resolved, and they do come out once a month adamant about being there to make sure that they get in and spray, but I noticed they killed the bugs that are in Insight, but I see smaller bugs coming a few days l two weeks later they're Poison doesn't take care of the reproductive system, I would say that they have been immune to it or they don't have a treatment that gets rid of the reproductive program , last The maybe the other units around me are not getting treatment done hence there are still bugs coming in in. I had to spend about $150 extra for two months and then $60 a month extra to keep the bugs away from my unit on top of their service., with professional Poison that I bought from exterminators Direct. I shouldn't have to do that if I have a monthly service, I've had monthly service on my own and I never had a problem ever even in this building I've been in this building for 13 years before them. I never had a problem ever . So honestly, I have to say they're not doing great job with their poison that they use. The people are fantastic, but their product doesn't work as well as other local companies. I have had in the previous years...Just being honest I hope this helps the next person . read more

Two years ago, I switched from a previous pest management service (that I'd "inherited" when I bought my house in SoFL) to Native Pest Management. At that time, my biggest issue with the previous sevice was staff turnover. I simply never knew who (if anyone) was coming out to do the rodents, lawn and ornamentals at my place every month. After calling Native Pest Management, I was impressed with the field manager's initial assessment and careful crafting of contracts that met my specific needs, given the variety of trees, shrubs, plants and lawn at my place. I've also been very pleased not only with the consistency of tech pros who treat my place, but also with their competence and knowledge of the issues that crop up. Over the past 2 years, I've had Native Pest techs here to: 1.) eliminate any (visible) rodent activity, 2.) keep my lawn green - even as we replaced Empire grass with St Augustine Citra Blue, 3.) eliminate a swarm of ants that had found their way inside my house through cracks in the baseboard, 4.) suggest treatment for a rotting palm tree trunk, 5.) reduce mosquitoes and biting black flies to nearly none, 6.) diagnose and treat fungus, mushrooms and white fly infestation. I'd say that covers a LOT of ground here! Recently, I asked for simplified billing, so that I'd get one monthly invoice reflecting an amortized treatment plan across the 4 contracts I have with Native Pest. That was done with a single phone call, so I no longer have to reconcile payments with the contract & cycle of treatments. Whew. I'm happy to recommend Native Pest Management to newly-established residents and those who've been less than wowed with their current pest management service in SoFL. You can not let rodents, pests or other issues take over your property here. It takes vigilance and a very professional, competent pest management service to stay on top of things and keep you informed as issues arise.
