The effort of recovering the data ended up being very challenging and took longer than any of us expected, but at the end Five Star was able to recover over 99% of the files--and I'm happy to say, the 1% of files were not important to me, so the 99% they recovered covered everything I needed. When I did, the owner became upset, claiming he had told me to call back at noon, which he ABSOLUTELY had not. Why does it take a day just to check the status anyways? BTW I called at 11:50 am! Are you F ing kidding me you are upset for 10 minutues (which I was not even aware of) after a month of no response? His reaction was VERY unprofessional. He then calls me for the first time at 12:00 pm to tell me they still couldn't fix the laptop. I picked up my laptop and took it to an old friend who used to do repair work. Even though he's semi-retired and farther away, he diagnosed the issue correctly and had the laptop running again within three days.
