I've been working with Special T Unlimited for 34 years, and they have truly been a constant when it comes to first-class service and quality. From the moment you walk through the door or pick up the phone, you're met with genuine kindness, respect, and a level of customer care that makes you feel valued right away. Whether it's one piece or one thousand, they treat every order--and every customer--as if it truly matters. The owners pour their heart into everything they do. You can feel how much they care--not just about the final product, but about making sure you're completely happy every step of the way. They go above and beyond in a way that feels personal, not transactional. Behind the scenes is an incredible team that deserves just as much recognition. There's a real sense of pride, dedication, and teamwork that shows in every order. From design to production, everyone plays a role in making sure the experience is smooth and the results are something you can be proud of. What makes them so special is not just the quality of their work, but how easy they are to work with. They truly listen, they communicate, and they care about bringing your vision to life. Every project is handled with attention, responsiveness, and a commitment to excellence--the quality is always a 10/10. If you're looking for custom apparel or branding, this is the place. No stress, no second-guessing--just people you can trust. SIMPLY THE BEST in the business. I feel incredibly grateful to have worked with such a wonderful group of people for so many years, and I look forward to continuing that relationship for many more to come. read more

We can't recommend the awesome folks at Special T enough. We do a few really large orders a year, and Carmen and his amazing team don't miss. From staff uniforms, to yearly merchandise for our annual softball tournament that is on its 58th year, to everything big and small in between, the amount of care that they put into the process from the first meeting, all the way up until pickup, is unmatched. It's really about the attention to detail, and the Special T staff has a keen sense of best practices and what will and won't work. I rarely leave a meeting without learning something new about the process, what will and won't work, and most importantly, why it will or won't work. It's that type of collaborative, conversational nature that keeps us coming back. We're never left wanting, needing, or questioning, and when you're ordering hundreds of items at a time, that's a great feeling to have knowing you're in good hands...hands that genuinely care. Whether you need something basic, or something custom and/or complicated, look no further. Thank you Special T, we appreciate everything you do for the PDoFP to keep us fitted and fresh! read more

Could not recommend them more!!!! I placed an order (as we had for a few years) for a 5th grade class gift (beach towels) and when they came up different than what we'd ordered, Carmen didnt hesitate to help make it right. you guys, when I say an owner did the right thing, I mean, he DID EVERYTHING to ensure we were happy, I never even got the chance to get upset because he held our issue with such regard, he didnt give me any room to be frustrated--he was so incredibly lovely! His team worked fast and IMMEDIATELY --and when I say immediately, I mean, we found out the order was wrong on a Wednesday and by FRIDAY we had an entirely new (and elevated) order, fully embroidered and ready to go. I have truly never worked with a company before who owned the problem and presented an even better solution than what we started with! Please PLEASE order from them every chance you get! "Mom and Pop" shops are hard to come by these days, let alone ones that lead with a customer service mentality. I will order from them every time I'm able! Thank you Carmen and team, you epitomize "customer first" mentality! read more

I have known Carmen Baldo with Special T Unlimited since 2010 and have been doing business with him for over a decade. Currently, I am the Day Camp Director for a park district in the western suburbs. Over the years, I have ordered 1000's of t-shirts for our campers. The quality and workmanship has been outstanding! Our t-shirts stand out among all others! Each and every summer I receive countless compliments from not only parents, but patrons of our parks as well. We post pictures of our campers in their camp shirts whenever the families travel. It can local or abroad. Special T's bright green shirts have been spotted as far away as Ecuador, Paris and even Iceland! Everyone knows us by our t-shirts! Additionally, Special T embroiders our first-aid bags as well as our staff shirts and jackets. Recently, we have added sweatshirts and zip-up hoodies. From personal experience, I highly recommend Special T Unlimited! Five star quality, customer service and pricing! Mr. Baldo and the showroom team or a true pleasure to do business with! read more

As an apparel designer, I can say Special T Unlimited is one of the few partners I fully trust. With 50+ years in the industry, their quality and consistency make my job easier every time. Carmen and staff with you face‑to‑face, really listening to what you're trying to create. That hands‑on approach means my designs come out exactly the way I envision them -- no guesswork, no surprises. Their embroidery is always sharp, clean, and professionally done. Whether I'm designing uniforms, branded apparel, or custom merch, I know the final product will look great and hold up. They're also fantastic with promotional items and know what actually makes an impact. After decades of experience, it's clear why they're still a go‑to name in custom branding. Highly recommended. -Cherie All My Tee Promotions, LLC read more

Dear Carmen I just wanted to express my appreciation for the excellent service your T-Shirt Company provided to me and my family. After making a mistake on my order due to my own fault, You stepped right in and corrected my order at the last minute. It is becoming all to rare these days to find a company that goes to such great lengths to satisfy its customers. I hope your success will show others that old fashioned hard work and consideration for customers are values that are rewarded in our society. Thank you for extending my family and I such kindness and consideration. You can be sure that the next time we or our friends need T-Shirts your fine establishment will be our first choice of recommendation. Best of luck in the future! Tiffany Elmore and Family read more

We have loved working with Special T Unlimited since the first time 4 years ago! Carmen and Carli (and the whole office) has always welcomed us like family and have gone above and beyond to help make our designs exactly what we want. I love the fact that I can go in and talk to some one in person and to be able to touch and feel everything. Much better then doing it over a website. We have ordered team jackets, bags, t-shirts, tanks, pants and so much more! You will definitely be happy with the whole Special T Unlimited team! read more

I have worked with Special T for many years. The customer service, pricing and quality can't be beat. They have many samples to see and try in their store front. If you want it they have it or they will get it for you. The turn around time is quick and the work is always done perfect. Carmen and his team are hands down the best in the business! I've been working with Special T for at least 15 years, and they never fail to disappoint. Their work is top notch and customer service is second to none. They are always able to accommodate any order, whether it's 300 pieces or 5. In cases of my poor planning, I've always been able to count on them for a rush order as well.
