But Dr. Hens made the experience easy. My comfort was constantly monitored. They have blankets and pillows. Throughout the procedure, they checked in with me regularly.. Explanations and warnings for every sensation. I did not experience any pain, which is rare for me as Novacaine tends to wear off quickly on me. And from the evaluation to the completed root canal, I never doubted the expertise of the staff and Dr. Hens. They have this cool 3-D image thing and they do the x-rays in your chair so it is much simplified. She also takes the time to explain everything and answer all your questions. I never felt rushed. I have been putting up with a lower standard of care for far too long and I highly recommend this office if you have any insecurities or fears or hesitations about the work you need done. I was told by the dentist that pain proved I needed a root canal. I was also told the endodontist on staff there did not do evaluations. That was not the kind of care I want. I need more than just a flippant explanation. We were talking about removing and excavating a nerve from my head, which happened to be in my molar. So I sought out an endodontist to evaluate my tooth pulp. Dr. Hens was very thorough and I felt comfortable and certain that I needed the root canal after visiting her. It was not about sales. It was demonstrated through imagery and explanation and made complete sense.

But it ended up being the most relaxing dental treatment I've ever had! Dr. Kamarath was my doctor, and she is beyond amazing. She explained my situation and procedure in a way I could understand, which put me at ease immediately. Her assistant was excellent as well. You can tell they both genuinely care about making patients feel comfortable. During the procedure, Dr. Kamarath explained each step, letting me know what she was doing and what stage we were at, so I never had to wonder how much time was left. The whole thing felt surprisingly short! I also noticed the mutual respect between Dr. Kamarath and her assistant in their conversations, which I think contributed to the calming atmosphere. That evening, Dr. Kamarath even gave me a follow-up call, which I truly appreciated. To my surprise, I didn't experience any pain after the treatment, and my tooth felt completely back to normal in no time. Now I just wish I could see Dr. Kamarath for everything! I was able to fill in new patient forms online prior to coming in. Located in a shared medical office building, the waiting and reception area is small but so clean and beautifully decorated. Most importantly, Dr. Oswald was so friendly and explains every step, making sure I know what is happening and that I am at ease. When I mentioned that I have previously been treated by another more established endodontist in the area, Dr. Oswald spoke highly of the other Dr. the only painful part of the procedure was when the anesthesia was being injected around the tooth, and that is unavoidable. The root canal itself was painless and quick. I did not even have any pain later that afternoon when the anesthesia wore off. His treatment itself was excellent, and I truly appreciate the care I received. Unfortunately, the billing process was disappointing. During my root canal removal, I was told by the staff that the consultation fee would be covered by my insurance. I paid the remaining amount--over a thousand dollars--and thought everything was settled. A few weeks later, I received a call from the office stating that I now owed the consultation fee, which was frustrating since I was previously told it would be covered. I was later informed that the issue stemmed from an incorrect billing code being submitted. Understandably, this left me feeling uneasy. What changed everything was a call I received today from Dr. Lim himself. He apologized sincerely for the confusion and explained that he is working to improve the system to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. His call showed me that he genuinely cares about his patients and their experience--not just medically, but holistically. Because of that conversation, I now feel confident recommending Dr. Lim.
