The line up is an eclectic mix of Maine products and vendors. Whether you need a sweater (or her lamb), specialty vinegars (and recipes), or any other delicious housewarming or holiday present, the market offers a diverse array of products besides the organic produce and other goodies. We like providing them to our VRBO guests too. We do wish they would move Hootenanny's Bread to the south end of the market near Dharma Farms and Kelly Bros beef-- it would reduce the congestion from the long lines and make the "main street" of the market more enjoyable. The market moves indoors with fewer vendors in November-- being in the historic freight shed is a little more crowded but also cozy as the winter months progress. And our freezer is never without a Mainely Poultry pot pie or two, some haddock "burgers", or a Chase Farms apple pie. It's our kids (and their kids) favorite activity when they visit.

It was a lovely experience, and we cannot wait to return for more cheese and try their pork. The cheese itself was delicious. We already ate the Rockweed and it was one of the best cheeses we've had! The middle was briny since Allison adds seaweed to it -- it doesn't get more "Maine" than that. The farm has a self-serve fridge that's cash only but if you ring, Allison will come out and you can pay by card. Lovely spot, lovely people, delicious cheese.

You can spend several minutes sampling everything they offer. They are knowledgable and kind--and that's what I like about them.
