You want apples. And cider…read more Maybe some donuts. And a family-friendly space. Or maybe you want blueberries. And a mimosa. Maybe some peaches. And an orchard big enough that you won't be on top of other families. Regardless of what you're looking for, Libby & Sons - year after year named ONE OF THE BEST ORCHARDS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY (literally, friends) - has everything you could want from a PYO experience. The corts and macs are always crisp and delicious; the blueberry options are lovely whether you want sweet or tart; the juicy donut peaches are unlike anything I've ever had anywhere (#TeamTangO)... in general, the picking is abundant and plentiful year after year after year. And they do a fantastic job daily updating their website with what's in season, out of season, picked out for the season, pricing structure (it makes sense if you know how hard they tried to stay open during the pandemic/the cost of growing quality and environmentally conscious fruits), etc. The views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. The glazed blueberry donuts are the best blueberry donuts I've ever had from anywhere ever. And the people who work here are absolutely the friendliest human beings on earth and genuinely remember you year after year. They make you feel like a welcome part of their family, and I love that (especially in a more automated, less personalized society). If you ever get the chance to talk to the owner about the science of apples (pomology) or the history and future of their personal agricultural story, you absolutely should. I am a more educated, more loyal customer of theirs now because of it!

Wonderful fall drive to Limerick to Libbys farm for fall festivities…read more They had a live band playing, ballon artist for kids, food trucks and yummy beverage truck with beers, seltzers, mimosas and amazing apple cider wine slushies. Inside they sell the traditional apple farm goodies- caramel apples, popcorn, fruit flavored smoothies, coffees, apple cider slushies (which i had previously only had at cold hollow cider in Vermont), lots of donut flavors including the traditional apple cider but blueberry, pumpkin, chocolate, strawberry/blueberry swirl AND option to add glaze or cinnamon sugar to them and some flavors you could add cream cheese frosting. Mega yum. 1/2 dozen was $8.99 or $2.49 each. They also have cider to bring home and some maple farm goodies. Lots of outdoor seating available, some covered. Parking is free and an overflow lot exists (short walk) or golf cart shuttle available. There are golf cart vehicles that can carry you to the area you want to pick whether apples or blueberries in fall. You can walk as well. They give you the scoop on the varieties, what's running low, and what a few unmarked ones are. I loved that the apple trees were pruned lower and compact so easy to pick. They had a stool if you needed, but we didnt need. We got the smallest bag to fill up 1/2 peck around 5 lbs they said ($15) ours weighed 6 lbs at home. I counted 19 apples...we tried to get a little smaller not mega huge. Not a bad deal. The fall foliage was stunning, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Dogs are not allowed on the premises.

I enjoyed picking there today. I learned to pick berries at farms like this as a child many years…read moreago. The berries were sweet and delightful. It's too bad that some people apparently had a hard time there. Jumping over rows is rude and harms the crop they work very hard to produce. It's very hard to find workers for jobs like this now and sometimes you get a bad "berry". It happens. If people would pick properly no one would feel the need to yell. I enjoyed my time there and picked what I wanted fairly quickly. The woman weighing was pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with her while paying for my treasures. YUM!

He is a fair man and that way he can become aware of the problem. My boyfriend and I worked on the Popp farm and the Popps paid us very very well to those who might need a good job working outdoors. David is a fair man to work for. And if there's good berries, don't let the ignorance of others ruin your time. I stood up to them. It's ignorance. And as long as they think they can get away with it they will continue. We need to support our local farmers. It's hard work. And that is a family's dream there on the bank of the river. I hope if anyone with a good attitude who needs work will apply. David needs reliable, honest people. We need to all do our part to help break down that kind of behavior because when when your kids go to school, they are facing the children of those same people. Susan G.
