I've…read moregotten lots of tank fills (including doubles) and gear service done here, and they're always professional and fast. Prices for fills/fill cards and service are very competitive. They're also a dealer for basically every brand so if you need something that isn't stocked normally, you can have it ordered. I needed nitrox VIP done on a set of doubles and assumed that I'd have to wait a few days for the turnaround, but it was done in an hour, and for an extremely reasonable price, considering it required disassembling/reassembling the set. I also previously had some steel tanks in for VIP, where the tech was nice enough to brush out some corrosion inside the tanks for me for no extra charge. Just a note, though: They generally do not like you leaving tanks overnight if you drop them off for fills, since they're limited on space (especially on weekends). That being said, they're so on top of fills that it's never too long of a wait. EDIT: Shortly after posting this review, Doug (the manager) called me to ask what can be done about the occasional unwelcoming feeling, and was very nice and professional about asking for details and how they as a shop could improve. If I could add more stars for this, I absolutely would! They work hard to be the best they can, and I appreciate that greatly.

She told me she had "nothing to say" to me and that I would only get my money back when UPS reimburses them. According to her, I have to wait until Divers Direct gets their money before I can get mine. That's not how this works when they failed to submit the paperwork in the first place.I asked to speak to someone above her about the way she was speaking to me. She flat-out said no one would get back to me. Completely dismissive and unprofessional.I did everything right on my end. They dropped the ball on the claim, then treated me like the problem when I followed up. Do not order from Divers Direct if there's any chance you'll need customer service. You'll just get stuck and spoken to like garbage.

Hit or miss. If you pick the classes option for certification expect to be rushed, pushed through…read moreand your equipment to be adequate. The first experience I had was horrible. I paid more the second time (read the fine print if you miss a scheduled dive for any reason you are liable for the fees for the next one) and had a private session with a master who actually knew what he was doing and took the time to properly adjust my equipment . I have since been diving with other instructors internationally and now confidently I can say that the teachers at this location are intermediate level, and you probably get what you pay for . Management is only nice at the onset when taking your money, equipment isn't sized properly to fit and the objects in store are overpriced. Be aware that the dives are with another company and the boat is owned by them, also they have a weird and uncomfortable policy that you have to exit the boat with gear and fins on by stepping into the water and climbing up a ladder to return, which is exhausting and impractical for smaller people. Also be aware that they discourage asking for wetsuits even when you may need one. I can't recommend them to first time divers and would have quit if I could have finished the certification with another company. I felt like the whole process is a push to get people through and they really don't have concerns for safety and health. I had strep throat after the first dive and major sinus irritation which was probably a combination of stress and work, but the water leaking in the regulator and oversized bcd with tank that hit me in the back of the head didn't help either. Overa, they are not the best choice for price or convenience of certification, but I cannot comment on their other options.

Through friends I found Aquatic Ventures by way of an awesome foundation called Dive4Vets and there began my adventure. Setting up my schedule couldn't have been easier. The staff here are...well, are you old enough to remember Cheers? If you are, it felt like that-as if we've known each other for years. Walking into the shop, there's a great selection of gear but I'm here to learn and learn I did! Classroom and pool day was my first experience trying to breathe underwater which is an odd thing. The following day, we were off to Tigertail Lake not too far away. Note: even though it was close to 90, the water temp was 76! Be prepared. Final dives were again in Tigertail due to uncooperative weather. Through the staffs instruction, I feel confident and comfortable being underwater and they truly care about each individuals progress and success.
