Stereo advantage sent me a damaged unit as being "reparied'…read more I had sent my unit(Surface Pro 3) to Square Trade for a ADH repair of a cracked screen. The unit came back with Stereo Advantage as the sender. They must of been contracted by Square Trade to repairmy unit. However when I got the unit back despite the box and the packing material in tack. the screen had a 1" long hole in he screen on the side opposite fo the original damage. I am left to conclude that damage was present before the surface 3 was packed. Not only that, they installed Windows 8.1 instead of Widnows 10 which is what was installed when I purchased it. I am glad that I live far away from Buffalo NY and will not have any reason to deal with this company again.

And got rerouted to a call center in another country! This happened 3 times, with the phone numbers to 3 different stores in my area. I was told, stores don't answer the phones, they reroute to a call center. Well, if Best Buy can't be bothered to allow their clerks to answer the phone in a store, they've lost my business. BTW, I asked my question of a call center person, and was told I'd have to physically walk into a store and ask a clerk. Well, I'd do that, but we're in the middle of a 3 day snowstorm, which is why I was trying to call the store in the first place. I really didn't feel like driving 35 miles in a whiteout to see if a store had a certain item in stock. If I'm going to deal with a business that impersonal, I may as well use Amazon. No wonder brick and mortar stores are going under.

As of writing this, they're also claiming they provide support via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Support. Via social media. So the idea of escalating and resolving customer issues seems to have gone out the window? Back to Amazon we go...again unfortunately. Oh, and take a glance at the 5-year stock performance of AMZN versus BBY. Revenue is only generated when you sell things, and that can even lead to generating profit, especially when you value potential customers. Hopefully that helps?

I booked an appointment online, followed the instructions on the emails that were sent to me. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment time, parked at the Mobile Installation parking spot, checked in at the Geek Squad office. The tech asked fir the cameras and said it would be about 1.5 hours. I got a call just about the time. It was all completed. Very good experience.

He went back and forth with me about 5 times of me saying no with other employees standing at the register next to him. Thankfully I worked in collections to be able to reject and not feel pressured into the sale but most people dont have that experience in which I can only imagine how forced they may feel into getting a yearly subscription! The store has been around for decades and although it's gone through some reiterations, they have a wide range of lighting equipment for a wide variety of uses. The owner was very nice and guided us through the process of setting everything up ourselves. For a Sunday Event, we picked up the lights on Saturday and returned them on Monday. They also offer DJ services as far as I know, but I haven't looked into them.
