We had an issue with one zone having errors after my toddler was tampering with the motion sensor. One quick call later, their tech walked us through disabling the zone in minutes. I honestly can't say enough about how much better this experience has been than working with ADT or Ackerman!! With ADT, I'd still be on hold, getting transferred endlessly, only to be told a tech could come out a week later to try and upsell us a whole new system. Switch to Premier. They're truly the best- they really make home security simple, efficient, and stress-free.

He listens carefully to all your questions and responds to your satisfaction. The company monitoring service is the most affordable in this area that I have found and their response to an alarm is very fast and professionally handled. SANDY SPRINGS ALERT:…read more Update/response to Heather - Normally I just let things be after leaving a review but Heather's response is the one that is misleading. Original post is below the line (Yelp doesn't give the opportunity to respond directly) I do notice a pattern between Heather and Scott that the customer is always wrong when there is an issue. (For example, Heather was aware I was moving from the West Coast - Seattle (they had an annual permit that the home owner was responsible for and my alarm company told me prior what the rules were. ) Heather mentions that I received an email proposal - but the email chain shows I was directly informed about the rules in Sandy Springs only AFTER I brought it up. I guess I can post it if needed to show the actual chain of communication she references vs. just sharing a part of it. Also, Scott, twice told me on the phone that it was not his responsibility to have informed me of the Sandy Springs regulations). He also threatened me twice about libel (I literally had to ask him if he even knew the legal definition...that stopped that conversation). And I'm curious what my contract length and wanting a lower rate has anything to do with this...if you're having to stretch to find things to complain about a customer that is very lame. Again, I don't see any level of responsibility from them regarding the situation. To be fair, Scott did say they would allow me to cancel the contract - which I will see if he will hold to that after I find a new company. So, why did I wait to post this review? Having found out last minute, I accepted the contract as I was under a deadline to get the system installed and did not want to go through the process of trying to find another company (though I now wish I had). So, I accepted what was provided knowing I would be in it for the contract term. But as of late, they decided to keep sending me email after email after email asking for a review. Well, if they are going to persistent in asking for a review, I thought I would give them the one they deserved (vs. the one they wanted). _________________________________________________________________________________ SANDY SPRINGS ALERT! - it was only just before installation did I learn that the Sandy Springs Police Dept will only respond to alarms if they have a visual confirmation that there is a problem. (I guess, they had issues with many false alarms). I accidentally stumbled upon information on the True Verification which was verified by American Alarm. If I had not brought it up, I would have never known. And they could sell me a camera - but one camera was $270+ and they don't have the capability to monitor the cameras at their call center - SERIOUSLY!!! (If you just need a camera system go with Blink....if you need an alarm with a system that will call the police - I suggest simplisafe. ) And don't get me started on the service you get when they call when the alarm does go off-- one time, I couldn't remember my pass code and just said sorry (as I was heading to the control box to turn it off). The response -ok and we hung up. Obviously, I've been stuck in the contract but I'm hoping no one else will be fooled by American Alarm into thinking they have an actual working security system that will provide assistance.

Then we paid our deposit and was scheduled. 2 days prior to the install date I called the companies office where a young lady answered. I asked her if the company provided any 3d renderings or images so we could be sure that we were on the same page. The lady stated that someone, I forget the name, was a VISIONARY and they do not provide images. We did not care for anyone's vision other than ours because we must live with it and we knew what we wanted. The day of the install. The sub-contractor shows up and proceeds to build. As I see the wall shaping up and did not look like what I expressed in my consultation. The guy says that to do what I ask it would be an additional $800 and I should pay him directly. Which after seeing more progress, was what I ordered in the first place. On a call with the owner of the company, which he acted as if he didn't know what was going on, we had to pause the project to have a meeting because I felt as if the sub was trying to hustle me. The sub constructed my wall with a wood veneer, and it was supposed to be drywall to flow in consistency with the rest of the room. I did not ask for wood, nor do we like it. After they were aware of their mistake, they spent time trying to convince us that what was done was better than what we asked for and that we should accept that. NO! the additional time, labor and costs are yours to deliver what we ordered. After this we were then rescheduled to complete this project only to again have poor communication with scheduling. The second day they come back they left a guy here to do drywall and the guy came to me and said he was not left with the proper amount of material to finish. I had to go buy the materials. As I expressed my dislike for having to do this with the owner, her is his response "This is something that can happen. You cannot calculate exact parts for the job, especially if it's custom and there are no descriptions of materials only a picture. I will go ahead and contact....". The guy measured and built a wall, and you say you can't calculate materials? WOW, so someone is incompetent. I own a business in a similar field, and I have never had to have a client go to the store. This is a piece of Sxxt operation ran by people with zero business acumen. Points: 1. Lack of communication between company and subcontractor. 2. Design was not the same as build. 3. I had to install dust barriers and floor coverings to protect my home. 4. Poor communication between us and the company. 5. We had to go out and buy materials. 6. They used my ladder/equipment. 7. Came unprepared daily 8. Poor scheduling and time management I totally regret giving these people my business.
