the agents do not have knowledge of the company and know what they do or not to do. the electric water heater was broke in my rental trailer. i called to schedule an appointment for an afternoon or a saturday since the tenant is working day time during weekdays. She goes and ask for an answer with every question i ask. finally, she informed me that they do not schedule after hours and weekend. somebody calls tomorrow and schedules me for Saturday. then the day after, somebody else calls and say; they made mistake and schedule me for Monday. now, they texted me and said; oh. sorry. we don't work on trailers. if they have problem with the scheduling, i am sure they have problem with fixing and replacement of items too. this was the last time that i will call them and ask for their help. they need to train their representative about information. read more

The only reason this company is getting 1 star is because that's as low as you can go and the technician was actually decent. DO NOT use this company. They are unethical and will try to rip you off. We signed up for their yearly maintenance plan in which they come to check your AC and heat once a year. The first time the technician came to check our AC, he barely did anything and said it was all fine. A couple of months later, our refrigerant is almost gone! HOW??? The second technician then fills it in, tightens all the screws and goes on his way (after we spent almost $1000). Now it's time to use heat about a month later and it's not heating. We have them come out AGAIN. Now miraculously all the lines/nuts/bolts are loose and we have NO refrigerant. They tried to charge us $3500 for this. When it was their fault because they didn't do their due diligence the second time they were there. If everything was tightened, how did this happen? We did not think this was right. He filled it up, tightened everything and from what the manager said he was doing a leak test. Leak test was fine (so they say). Also technicians should be aware when they are standing outside of someone's house discussing having client's pay for something they shouldn't have to. We have cameras! Now that was a few weeks ago and our heat is struggling again! So they DID NOTHING FOR US! WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I bought a new home and Neese was to provide service on HVAC units as part of the contract with the owner selling me the home. During the moving process I discovered the downstairs heating unit did not work. Upon further review I discovered the door switch had been wrapped with electrical tape and the controls/wiring for the unit was not secured, about to fall out of the unit. This unit was clearly not serviced, worse yet, if it was their technician did a very poor job. read more

I had Neese come out and do my annual HVAC service. About 5 weeks later the system starting freezing up and I had them come back out. Since it was longer than 30 days (just barely) they would not warranty their work. They claimed the evaporator was leaking. I have a home service contract so I had them come up to replace it... They took a look and said the evaporator was fine - the issue was a Schrader valve that was left a little loose which allowed the refrigerant to leak out... They replaced the valve out of caution and recharged the system. It's been fine ever since. So, three strikes against Neese: One for leaving the valve loose and uncapped, one for not warrantying it, and one for misdiagnosing. I have not used them again since... read more

Great company, from the people in the office, to the guys doing the work! Our downstairs A/C unit stopped working, and while I told them it wasn't an emergency, they were able to get someone out to me the same day I called. When my suspicions were confirmed that the unit was toast (it was old and I knew I was on borrowed time), they were able to line up an install within the week. Had a problem with our upstairs heating/air vent in the bathroom. Neese-Jones technician came out and within 15 minutes fixed the problem. The insulation had settled in the attic and the duct was exposed so the cold air meeting with the hot duct caused condensation and caused water on our vent which caused mold on the ceiling and a rusty vent cover! He covered the vent with insulation and suggested we cover it was a rolled piece of insulation! Problem solved! read more

Called Neese Jones about a downstairs A/C not working on a Sunday afternoon. The technician was on another job but called to let me know he could be there by 5 pm. He found the problem quickly and changed out the pump which had stopped working but he also took the time to check my crawl space for any other issues. He found duct work which had come apart and was blowing air into the crawl space rather than up through the vents into the house. This explained why certain rooms in my downstairs did not get as cool as others. He had the tape to fix the problem in his truck and made this repair as well. What a difference it has made in the cooling of my house!!! So glad to have had someone who knew what they are doing and took the initiative to go above and beyond to ensure my cooling system was working as it should. One star is too much for this business. We are selling our home, and our buyer wanted this company to inspect our A/C unit. (Which btw...was in great working order) After a bit, the tech asked, was our A/C working? We answered yes, and he said he couldn't get it to cool. He then proceeded to replace the float switch, and tried giving us a bill for about $140.00. At this point, we instructed him to put it back as it was. He was only supposed to inspect. He was upset. He left and the air would not come on at all. After checking it out ourselves, we realized he didn't turn the kill switch back on in the attic. So, we did! And Viola! Our A/C worked again, as it did, before he got here. We followed up with another company and they couldn't find anything wrong, well, actually a wire on the float switch needed reconnected (which was the fault of Neese's technician). Been using neese jones for over 10 years. Past summer checkup (on maintenance plan) the technician (who is actually one of the Jones boys) "checked" drain pipe and cut it, resealed it, and signed off it had flow. Well it didn't. Thank God my backup drain was working or my ceiling could have been soaked. Only reason I knew he didn't really check it was because I am in the process of getting my deck stained and deck stainer said back up drain was dripping on deck. Only time I've had one of the owners sons perform maintenance. Disappointing. The other guy Dan who normally comes is very thorough and honest. read more

He said he can replace it for $126 or my husband can buy a $1 light switch and instal it himself, which he did. We appreciate this technician's honesty. I have been using this company for hvac repairs and maintenance for over 6 years. The service is wonderful and they never try to up-sell me to replace equipment unnecessarily. In fact, another company recommended I replace my furnaces 6 years ago for over $4k. I came to Neese-Jones for another opinion. They told me a wire was loose, charged me $40 to fix it and clean the furnaces up. Both are still running fine! I now use them for regular scheduled maintenance. Super Shady business. Don't use them. Don't do the annual service program, even it you think you are doing a good thing. WRONG choice. Example: they came out 4 months ago for the spring service. 1.5 months later the motor burns out. They come out and replace it - $600. Then, a month after that, freon runs out. They come out and say we need to replace the coil bc of a leak - $1400. We decided to wait to talk to the office bc things seemed fishy. They tried to collect the $200 on the spot. We told them we would pay them once we spoke to the office about it bc things seemed fishy. They had someone come back to collect 2 times over the next 24 hours. We had a second opinion... and wow, the coil didn't need to be replaced. They just needed to tighten a bold - only $75!!!!! And the reason why the motor burnt out was because insulation was sitting on it. (Which they didn't fix after replacing the motor!)
