We went back-and-forth with if we wanted to stay there and pay that cost, or if we should stay at another local hotel for our visit. We are glad that we stayed at the hotel. Though the price is high, they provide a lot of great entertainment and things for the children to do right within the hotel. Also, the theming for the hotel is so cool for kids. We loved that there were two separated spaces for adults and kids. We ate at the hotel as well for breakfast and dinner. The food was good enough. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad at all.

It makes the experience seamless, stress-free, and keeps the kids happy. There is no reason to enforce such restrictive wait policies for people with special needs. They really need to rethink this system.

They hosted events from morning to sunset during the 4th of July weekend we went. Kids eat FREE all summer for breakfast and lunch (meals before 5) at a few of their restaurants. Then I believe it's half off for dinner! Food was great everywhere we went. Our daughter was too little for most of the events and their bigger kid pools + splash pad, but we did see they have a kids slide! The hotel was clean, safe, had accessible parking, and large comfy beds (though their pillows could use an upgrade.) The lobby and outdoor spaces are beachy, with several private patio areas for those looking to linger in the California sun, or go for a swim in their resort style pool. It's also directly across the street from the prettiest beach. Sadly my trip was a turnaround, but I was excited to catch a glimpse of the ocean from my hotel room the next morning. The main reason I chose to dock a star is because my shower was all out of soap, conditioner, and shampoo. Normally I'd bring my own, so I was extra bummed to find these empty.
