Arrived Sunday around 11am. Pretty busy, but not completely full. When I left, there were many spaces open. There was a Walmart and multiple food places in the shopping plaza.

Tesla charger and brewery.

Tesla Supercharger - 10.11.22 Charging at 1:17pm

Tesla Supercharger

This is the slowest Tesla charger we've ever experienced and undeserving of the name supercharger…read more Their top speed was 289 mph, but it took us nearly forty minutes just to get 100 miles added. On the plus side, down below Mount Olympus (the Chargers are on a steep hill), you'll find a Shake Shack in the strip mall. Nice! This will make time go slightly faster.

I was curious to see what a charger with a restroom is like. We stopped by this place on our way…read moreback to LA and it was ugh... interesting. We turned right into an unnamed road. It looks like an abandoned shopping plaza besides the equinox at the entrance of the unnamed road and the wine and cheese place at the end. We came when the sun was setting and even though there were plenty of chargers open on the second level, it gave me a spooky feeling. We ended up walking around the entire plaza before finding the restroom lol and the restroom entrance ended up being to slight left from the second level location where we were parked at. I attached a photo of it. I remembered the code probably until half way around the block and by the time I found it, I had forgotten it and the husband had to retrieve the code in the car I was joking with him saying if I was trying to get away from a bad guy, I'd end up dying at the restroom door from not remembering the code. I was expecting the bathroom entrance to lead directly into a restroom stall. Nope, there's a small entrance, down a few steps followed by a small hallway and the restroom was at the end of the hall. Though very "temporary" in appearance, I was very thankful to even have a restroom to use while I charged. The forests and shrubbery surrounding the charging station is also kind of spooky. Needless to say, I am a city girl. Very used to having charging stations in the middle of malls and shopping plazas. Nice pit stop but... I wouldn't wanna come alone when the sun goes down.

Legoland California Resort - Having booze at amusement parks...life savers

Love Legoland .... It's a chill park to visit. The food options are great inside the park the drink…read moreoptions are a rip off! I would say bring your own drinks, water , soda from outside the park.... $5.00 for a Dasani water and $7.49 for a medium fountain drink is ridiculous. Decided to come during the last weekend of summer , while brick or treat was taking place .... Long lines and just basic Twix and m&ms for waiting in a 30 minute line.... I was hoping for bags of Legos ....i wouldn't recommend it and will definitely not coming during the Halloween festivities... really crowded for Twix and M&Ms.... All in all still a better , cheaper option than Disneyland which is the rip off of rip offs now a days !!!! I would still come to Legoland over All the other parks.... I love the more colorful decors and the crowds . Stayed at the Castle hotel , room was clean loved the wizard theme room. Did not like the restaurant, during lunch all the tables smelled like eggs from the breakfast prior.... It was gross we had to ask for wipe down twice .... For which they were super kind , understanding and accommodating. Like the checking kiosk option but still prefer human interaction.... I'm vintage old school ...like to talk to people when I'm spending money at a resort.

It pains me to write this review as we Love this hotel, but stay away from the 3rd floor especially…read morerooms facing the park as they have air conditioners right outside the windows . Also since they removed the carpeting sounds from whatever maintenance machines inside tend to be loud all the time. The front desk is pretty much useless in solving this for you so please don't make the mistake we did. What is usually a great trip has been rough due to this setup. Advice - call and book the rooms furthest away from elevator and air conditioners. *we chose these rooms since they were remodeled and had a new theme. So not worth it. The rest of the hotel experience remains fun and exciting.

The Rooftop Bar - Spread Trio

The rooftop has one of the best views in Oceanside and is definitely a great spot to bring a date…read more The atmosphere and ocean views are the main draw, and the chicken sandwich was excellent. That said, after multiple visits, the service has consistently been the weak point. It can be slow and doesn't quite match the upscale experience or price point you'd expect from a rooftop like this. At these prices, I'd expect a level of service closer to what you'd receive at a high-end resort, and unfortunately it hasn't been there. You're definitely paying a premium for the location and view. I'd still recommend checking it out, especially for drinks, sunset, or a date night, but keep your expectations realistic when it comes to service and value.

Saw great reviews about The Rooftop Bar and the recommendation on making reservations - glad we did…read morethat! It's beautiful at the top, we didn't really have a great view from our seats - but it also seemed like if you are a larger group there isn't too many options. We were seated by the pool area - which was strange since we weren't hotel guests and weren't planning to swim, but it was closer to the pier view. The main area seemed to be more shaded than the pool area, so half our group was in the sun and the other half were shaded, thankfully there was a breeze! We specifically went for the happy hour drinks and they were delicious!!! Service was good - our waitress was friendly. I will recommend this place to anyone visiting the area on the future!

One of the biggest reasons we keep coming back is Scott, the front desk manager. Scott has helped our family over the years and always goes above and beyond. We celebrated a family member's birthday this past weekend and had a few special requests when booking our room. He was so kind and thoughtful in accommodating us, and he helped make the whole weekend feel special. Scott truly represents the hospitality we've come to love at Omni La Costa. We wanted to recognize him and say a big thank you for helping make this celebration so wonderful!

My first room was adorable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I love the unique layout of the rooms. I also enjoyed the pool, complimentary member drinks, and the overall property. That first evening I called for a wine opener and was told someone would bring one up, but nobody ever came. I eventually went downstairs to get one myself. Not a huge deal, but unfortunately it became the first of several instances where I was told someone would follow up and nobody did. The next day was great. I enjoyed the pool and a fitness class and had an amazing bartender. I was having such a good time that I decided to extend my stay another night. That's when everything went downhill. My new room was EXTREMELY hot. Maintenance came up and said it was 78 degrees and that there appeared to be an HVAC issue. After waiting around 40 minutes I ended up sitting in my car because the room was so uncomfortable. The front desk moved me to another room and told me a manager would call regarding compensation. Nobody called. Later that evening I returned to find the replacement room incredibly hot as well. It honestly felt cooler outside. I was told they would send somebody right up to get me moved again. Thirty minutes later, still no one. At this point it was around 10:30 PM, I had already switched rooms once, and I wasn't willing to pack everything up and move into a THIRD room with no guarantee the AC would work that late at night. I decided to check out and find another hotel. Unfortunately, the evening manager made the situation even worse. Instead of being understanding, he was rude and dismissive and pointed out that I had previously agreed to switch rooms. Yes, I agreed before waiting over 30 minutes with no one having shown up. I was told they would check me out and a manager would contact me regarding a refund. Nobody did. I called the next day and was again told someone would call me back. Nobody did. I finally called again the following day and reached someone who resolved the situation. Initially, I was only offered a waived resort fee, which I found unreasonable considering I paid nearly $500 for a room without functioning AC, moved rooms once, and ultimately had to leave late at night and pay for another hotel. After several calls the issue was finally resolved, which I appreciated, but it should not have taken that much effort. It's frustrating because there is so much I genuinely love about Omni La Costa. The property is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, the adults only pool is fantastic, and they offer tons of activities and fitness classes. I've stayed here multiple times because I enjoy the resort. Unfortunately, the customer service during this stay was seriously lacking. Between the HVAC issues, lack of follow through, repeated promises of callbacks that never happened, and the attitude of the evening manager, the experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I still think it's a beautiful resort, and most of my previous stays have been wonderful, but this particular stay was extremely disappointing.
