Simple dishes new establishment, lunch tasting menu seems perfect at $33. Service is fast and friendly. Good vibes will be back.

Parking is ample. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and serves both all you can eat and a la carte. Today I went to try their a la carte menu at 11.99 a plate. Half the menu is crossed out but there is still a good variety of Thai and Japanese options. Bangkok pad Thai - tasted like ketchup. Good amounts of chicken and tofu, but extremely salty and sweet. Basil beef - I don't actually know what the difference is between black pepper beef and basil beef. There is good amounts of meat and the rice comes in a bowl, slightly wetter and softer than expected. Very salty as well. Overall, looking at the other people's tables, the Japanese buffet options looked alright. However the dishes I've had were mediocre at best.

A pretty good sushi restaurant! They have both all-you-can-eat and a-la-carte options. We chose a la carte because we wanted some items that were not available in the AYCE menu. All the food was wonderful and delicious, the decor was beautiful and the waiters were wonderful as well!

ALWAYS A GOOD CHOICE, Sparkly always welcomes our family and has extremely attentive and friendly staff, Danny has been working there for years and is always a friendly familiar face

I like the place overall and the food. I would rate 7.5/10. The taste was good. We were 5 ppl and order lots of dishes to try. My personal fav was Unagi and Ebi. Couple of things that i would like to suggest; if we can have pictures of the dishes on the menu, that will be great help. Also while serving, if we were told what is being served we won't eat each other's food

Seared salmon, highly recommended

* Great atmosphere, nicely decorated. **** * Servers were very attentive, except 1 in blue stripe shirt, just total ignorance; And at the end we have to wait for 20 minutes before server come back to take desert orders. I think they under staffed ***1/2* * Food selection is reasonable; many Thai dishes, good job there. They should add more seafood and veggies in grill section, like pike- mackerel and grilled eggplant...And the should add red-bean ice-cream **** Overall ****

SPECIAL COVID-19 EDITION REVIEW: SAFETY PRACTICES, PROTOCOLS AND MORE. OPEN DURING COVID-19. (Stage 3 of the province of Ontario reopening) This place has always had a patio, so this isn't a patio that was built during COVID and for COVID. I give credit where credit is due and it seems like customer service has improved a little. We requested a table for four for a little more room. They said they wouldn't accommodate this request, as they can't on that day. However, there were quite a few empty tables from the time we arrived to the time we left. Customer service may have improved a little (this is also possibly because traffic may be down due to COVID, so with less people, they're able to concentrate better). However, towards the end of the meal (keep reading to find out what happened) and food quality with respect to sashimi and sushi rolls has declined a lot. AYCE sushi still available. Temperature check before seating, signs requiring masks are put up on the front door. I've always wondered why there is an accessibility button on the inside but not the outside. Would be nice to see one on the outside for folks who require it. -1 star, folks should be treated equally. I've noticed this before but always forgot to put it in my reviews. Menus are in between glass on the table. Salmon sashimi wasn't fresh at all, seaweed salad tasted about the same, too much dressing (as I've noted in previous reviews of this place). Oil fish sashimi was average. Beef was undercooked very bad, unable to eat it. Service was okay, when I was running out of water and needed a refill, someone did come by and refill it. All the fried stuff tasted the same, nothing new there. Edamame wasn't too bad, calamari was a little too chewy, rolls had extremely little to no salmon, overall the variety hasn't really changed but the quality definitely took a bit of a toll but during COVID. Other AYCE restaurants have much better quality for the time being. Was a regular pre-COVID and was given a VIP card. Gave my VIP card to the server, unfortunately she didn't know what it was. Took a while to get the bill (15 mins to half an hour, which is unacceptable) and they wanted to take my VIP card away (sort of like a coupon, I think) but I told them usually I show it and it's not a one time use kinda thing. Server looked visibly upset after asking management whether to take it or not and angrily put our VIP card on the table without saying anything before we left. Extremely disappointed considering we've spent quite a bit there over the past decade, not only has the quality of food declined significantly (see RECENT pictures) but we're told our loyalty isn't worth anything anymore to the restaurant. This upset us but our experience definitely didn't leave us wanting to come back anyways. Even with a generous tip, after the server was pissed off about the card, the server didn't say anything as we left. - Missed the ball in a quite a few places, there's still A HELL OF A LOT to improve on. - Food quality has SIGNIFICANTLY DECLINED. - Customer service has improved a little bit. Temp check is good Service was okay (until the end where it took a turn - customer service) Overall, 1.5/5 EDIT: Recently I've had a chance to finally try another sushi ayce during covid and finally have something to compare the sparkly experience to. I'd have to say that the very thin salmon sashimi and almost no salmon on the rolls.. the food quality has drastically declined (see pics) and I have to change my rating to a 1.5.

This was my first choice since restaurants were opening up and it was exciting to have an AYCE option available especially during social distancing being limited to food options because lets face it take out it not the same. -They take your temperature prior to you entering the dining area which is great. -tables are nicely setup and properly spaced out. Menus are underneath the table which i like versus some restaurants use paper disposable menus. -service is quite fast and efficient -food was okay, there was nothing that wow'd be. And you might say what would you expect from a ayce but its not true some places are much better - options are not bad -price about $33

They have quite a few special roll options, though most were derivatives of California and Dynamic rolls. Tried the Lion King and Tataki Attack. Both were good with thin rice layers and relatively fresh seaweed wraps. I liked the Lion King better since it had more fillings. Chicken Karaage was so-so, more like pre-made chicken popcorn than authentic karaage. Shrimp Tempura was good - big shrimps wrapped in the thin, light and crispy batter. We showed up around 5:30 pm for an early dinner on Good Friday and still had to wait about half hour. What was ordered: Chicken karaage rice bowl Sushi and sashimi combo Sushi roll combo The verdict? The sashimi was good. Thick fresh slices. The roll (a version of California roll) was really disappointing. Way too much crab salad filler. The chicken karaage rice bowl was incredibly plain. Pieces of karaage on top of rice drizzled with mayo. The service was good but there wasn't enough to set them apart.

I ordered the dream platter and aburi Syaki oshi. I wasn't expecting it to be nicely packaged and it was a damn shame we threw them out but I almost felt like I paid for the extra nice packaging only to have it be tossed... but it does make an excellent gift for someone who really loves sushi! I wasn't expecting the gold leaf OR edible flower garnish at all. It was a very cute touch on this very snowy day. The oshi sort of fell apart everytime I picked it up which was a shame because it was nicely charred and sweet from the mango. Bit of a personal peeve but I don't think sushi should fall apart when you pick it up with a chopstick. I think it should stay in tact. Next time I'm gonna order takeout and have it delivered so I can feel like I had a nice package of sushi delivered

The Aburi Hamachi Oshi had a great char and was the standout because, honestly, blowtorched fish just wins every time. The Double Salmon Maki might look basic on paper, but it surprises me on every visit with how good it actually is. The seared butterfish in the Forbidden roll was rich and silky, and the seared scallop in The Fantasy roll was just as satisfying. No notes, just great sushi.

But I was curious enough to try them out, especially since they offer bubble tea and waffles - something you don't see at most sushi spots around here - and their prices are really reasonable. I went with their daily special (available every day except Sunday), which came with a spicy salmon roll, a few pieces of salmon sushi, a small salad- plain lettuce with sesame dressing, and miso soup. For the price, it's honestly a pretty good deal and satisfied my emergency sushi craving! The miso soup was nice and hot, the salmon sushi was okay, but the rice could use a little more flavour to give it that extra kick. The spicy salmon roll was a bit different, too; instead of the usual spicy mix, they used chopped salmon inside the roll and topped with spicy mayo, plus a nice crunch from tempura bits. If you're looking for affordable sushi that won't break the bank, Yume Sushi is worth checking out. It's a good spot to grab a quick meal, especially if you want a side of bubble tea or something sweet!

There were some Ramune Drinks listed on 8x11s taped to the walls as long as another that listed a Sushi & Sashimi Lunch and a Lady Lunch. The Maki's posted seem to be quite Canadian in nature such as Crispy Maki, Silver Roll and Snowman. I hear the staff speak Chinese quite a bit between themselves which is no surprise at all within the Vaughan Japanese restaurant scene. Chicken Udon(Lunch Special $6.99) was nothing exciting to speak of. 3 ingredients in total consisting of some low quality Udon, Teppan fried Dark Meat Chicken and a Broth with a touch of sweetness. Sashimi Appetizer($6.99) didn't look appetizing but I have to say at least it was of decent portion quatity the size of 2 Sashimi pieces(2-bite). Looks can show how obvious the Sashimi was not cut with skill hands while the Fish especially Tuna didn't seem fresh and most surprising neither was the Pickled Ginger.
