Catching up on some reviews.. I visited this location three or four months ago with my bestie Ryan. We enjoyed the AYCE menu and had some Sapporo beers to compliment our meal. The sushi and sashimi were so fresh . The service was incredible. I've never had food arrive so quickly to my table, in all our years of sushi dates. I loved every dish I tried. I will 100% return to this location . read more

A solid sushi apot. We were seated surprisingly fast for a Saturday night, though I'd still recommend reservations for bigger groups. The quality is consistently great, and the sushi always tastes fresh and well-prepared. Reliable, delicious, and worth returning to. read more

This plaza is pretty dingy & it's off the beaten track in the western part of Vaughan, but they pass on the savings. Paying with cash you get both a discount & vouchers to use in the next month. They get 4.5 stars. The quality of most dishes is pretty good (with the notable exception of grilled squid, beef udon soup & eel sushi pizza) & you get dishes you don't get everywhere like beef sashimi, tuna tataki & avocado salad. Quite a few dishes feature mango sauce. They lost a few orders & delivered more than the ordered quantity for a few items though. They have dedicated vegetarian sections on their menu, making ordering easy for vegetarians. The tempura ice cream is just ice cream with tempura bits. read more

Came here last night with my mom and sister, since they were craving sushi. We came here since my mom lived close to the area. We have never been here before, and saw how great reviews are. Haven't had ayce sushi in a while either. Upon walking in, we were seated right away in a corner tucked beside where the sushi bar/chefs were. Our waitress came and handed us an iPad for ordering, and asked what drinks we would like. Got our drinks, and we started ordering. We ordered a lot of sashimi, a couple of hand rolls, beef sashimi, dumplings, fried tofu, shrimp and veggie tempuras. Food was alright. I feel like quality of food from ayce sushi establishments isn't what it used to be. My mom, who isn't a picky eater even said it wasn't that great or fresh. There was a fruit fly that kept bothering us all night long. I looked up and there was like 4-5 on the wall just chilling. Total turn off. We didn't order desserts as we just wanted to leave. I was kind of disappointed because if my mom felt that the food wasn't that good, then I should've done better and picked a better place since my sister and I don't always get that special one on one time with our mom and hang out. From now on a la carte sushi only. read more

Buffet was pretty good and fast love the wonton cream cheese it's a must to try great prices.

Fantastic food, service, and experience! - the employees were all super nice and courteous -Salmon sashimi, Alaskan Rolls, Salmon Avocado rolls, squid, octopus, eel, Thai beef, yakitori, deep fried scallops, enoki beef, -literally everything was fantastic! A note about the sushi - I've been to all sorts of AYCE sushi buffets and they all overload your rolls with a ton of rice - but not Sake Sushi! They are very generous in their portions and they do not hesitate to bring you your order ASAP! Sake sushi takes 1st place! thank you, from Texas! I hope Sake Sushi will still be here ready for me next time I come back to visit Brampton! read more

I have a bit of a mixed review. The first time we had Sake we absolutely loved it!!! I've told so many people to try it. The second time the sushi was at rolled properly. Our last time ordering.... It was a very nice set up. We got the boat and veggie tempura. Veggie tempura is 5* The boat was great until we got to the last set of rolls. Something just wasn't right. Would I go back. I ordered two SALMON teriyaki and 100 piece party tray over the phone. First off, "Eva" gave me two CHICKEN teriyaki and blamed me for ordering wrong but too bad for her I wrote down everything and remembered exactly what she said on the phone- she didn't repeat my order like she said she did. Secondly , during the call she told me I was over by 3 pcs when in fact I was only at 95pcs- again, I wrote down my order and did the math. I had her repeat my order and number of pieces then asked her to give me total number of pieces..she still insisted I was over 100pcs so I ended up doing the math for her and she both agreed I was only at 95pcs. Thirdly, I'm a returning customer who always order party trays and more. I am super disappointed with the honesty and customer service. She gave me credit for ONE TERIYAKI chicken even though she messed up both. She even sounded more pissed off than I was. Tip for future customers : write down your order . She will try to give you less sushi pieces than what you're paying for. Update after eating : the chicken teriyaki was as dry as it looked with NO teriyaki sauce :| .. should have asked for sauce on the side to make sure they give me some. Sushi was decent ...maybe 5.5/10 for Vaughan sushi. read more

Have ordered take out here several times. The first few I only ordered veggie rolls, and the most recent was both fish and veggie rolls. The veggie rolls all taste very fresh and are a very good size. Perfect amount of filling to rice ratio, especially for the price! The fish wasn't super fresh, but I would say is standard for a place like this. Not high end by any means but still okay. They gave us the wrong change when paying but when we came back they promptly fixed the mistake, very much appreciated! The ordering process was very easy, love the online ordering option. As well, like a lot of restaurants now they offer 10% off for all paid in cash orders. Recommend this place to anyone looking for a well priced, good sized sushi meal. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Very disappointed with the quality of the sushi. I ordered from here before so I decided to order again today for my family. We ordered a party tray and 2 separate rolls. The crab seemed old and the shrimp was soggy. Didn't seem fresh at all. I talked to the owner in a peaceful way about how I bought this sushi to open my fast with my family and none of us wanted to eat this. He yelled at me and made hand gestures in a very rude away. I asked him politely to stop yelling at me but him and his wife (I'm guessing they are the owners) kept yelling and going on and on. I saw another tray they made for another customer and the sushi looked 100x better. Not sure if they had the party tray premade because it was Mother's Day but it was definitely not worth the $60 total. Will not order from here again. Customer service from this place is a 0. read more

Its all about AYCE baby! I planned a trip with coworkers and I would have to say not the best but a huge menu. The service is ok and sushi is average. The place it self is not that big but there is decent seating available. I was disappointed as the expensive stuff either was not being received or was coming very late compared to all the fillers on the menu. We were ordering from 2 units so it can't be confidence. read more

Good enough selection and quality of sushi as well as other dishes to satisfy your cravings for Japanese. In comparison to similar sushi joints within the area, Sake Sushi set itself apart by far -Friendly and helpful servers -Fair prices, especially for the weekday lunch special -Fast service, dishes started rolling in within 4-7 minutes after ordering -Excellent quality for an All You Can Eat Buffet All in all, will be returning as this visit has been the first time in over 2 years in which my expectations were surpassed and my cravings were satisfied at an all you can eat sushi buffet. read more

Great cheap place for AYCE sushi. I've come here a handful of times and the service is pretty consistent, and fast which is always a plus. The quality of the sashimi is kind of hit or miss, but that can be said about a lot of cheaper AYCE places. Besides the raw fish, everything else has been pretty consistent as well. The restaurant itself is relatively small, so when it gets busy you may be put on the second floor. The top floor is not really an ideal setting - a bit of a cramped space with room for about 4-5 small parties. read more

Recently, I've been staying away from all you can eat sushi places, but this was on the way home. My girlfriend ate from the al a carte menu but I decided to stick with all you can eat. I must say, I've had better even from an all you can eat place. It wasn't bad, I've just had better. The wasabi also tasted "cheap." I also assumed they forgot about one thing I ordered (that's Ok, it happens). So I ordered it again and waited so long that I finally just gave up on waiting. I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here again. read more

I was told by a friend to try this sushi place. I was skeptical at first because of the location (it's hidden and is by a gas station). After trying a few pieces of their salmon sashimi, I was convinced that this was one of the best sushi places that I've tried. The sashimi was fresh and I have no complaints about the food. Since it's a small location, everytime I've eaten here, there has been a wait for a table. The service is fast but one time, they did not clean the table thoroughly. There was garbage and food left under our table which caused a lot of flies to disrupt our meal. read more

This be the sushi place to go when in the area because not only do they have cute green dragon rolls(I could fit 3 in my mouth), they've got some deep fried varieties rolls that is sure to kick up the taste granted you load up on wasabi for the zinger. Service was fast and friendly, they seem to work as a team so if you're server is caught consoling other costumers demanding more ginger, another one is more than happy to ask you for the what the hell you want...or they point to the ipads where you can place orders genuinely showcasing their lack of interest in human interaction. Hey that's okay as long as the grub is good and that it was. I'm gonna have to come back to try more of the items out and with an even hungrier appetite and maybe steal hubby away from the kids to save a trip to the washroom because there is no baby changing section available (fyi moms) and you get a cold draft in there like you're taking a peepee in an igloo. Will update soon on more when I take a trip back. read more

As soon as we heard indoor AYCE was open again we took a chance that Sake Sushi was as good as it used to be. We were regulars there. Their unique specialty is adding a thin layer of crispy crunchy panko breadcrumbs to some of their sushi rolls. We arrived with a good appetite because we had been on a fast for two days before. We ordered dinner because I like their sashimi. Husband is a vegetarian and there is enough on the menu to please him. His biggest favorite was the fresh wakame seaweed salad. My favorite salad was the fresh ripe mango salad... I could have ordered two of those, and another one for dessert. We also ordered other salads, and like the salad dressing too. The avocado salad was great too. The lady who brought our orders to us was very attentive and pleasant. It is good to go there for dinner in the week days, and there is a senior discount and a discount for cash. You can ask for extra pickled ginger and green horseradish. The salmon belly was delicious if you like fatty salmon. All of the sashimi was delicious. We are not big rice eaters and we went easy on ordering the sushi rolls. The coconut shrimp and the mango shrimp were delicious. The warm sake went down smooth. We were careful to not over eat, but it was hard because everything is so delicious and inviting. The decor is not high class like August 8 in Brampton, and sometimes we prefer a simple place with great food. read more

I liked Sake sushi! M and I came here for dinner. He had the AYCE and I had food from the a la carta menu. I like that they offered choices other than avocado and cucumber rolls. They have a spicy avocado roll which was delicious! I let them know that I didn't want any mayo on the first roll I ordered (yam and avocado) and when I ordered my second roll, the server or cook double checked that there is no mayo (awesome!!) M had ordered off the iPad menu and something didn't come out, so we double checked (after we paid) and we waited for what must have been another 10 mins and it still didn't come out. We just picked up and left. read more

Sake Sushi is probably my favourite AYCE Sushi restaurant in Vaughan. It's been around for quite a while now and the quality of the food is consistently really good. The service is super fast and the IPad ordering just makes things so convenient. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu with my personal favourite being the "Rock Shrimp". The restaurant is consistently busy but turnover occurs very quickly so it's never a problem getting a table. Located in the west end of Woodbridge if you are a fan of Sushi and are in the area I would definitely recommend checking it out. read more

We came here on January 1. The day before we called in twice to verify the buffet lunch price for January 1. Both times it was confirmed that the lunch price was 15.95 for that day. So off we went. When we arrived there were two staff preparing food on tables. We were not greeted by any staff and had to call them over to get seated. We asked to be seated at one of the larger booths as there was no other customers in the restaurant and we had a group of 5. The waitress bluntly replied "No" to us and pointed at another booth for us to sit at. I note that the whole time we were at the restaurant and when we left, the larger booths we asked to be seated at were empty and no other customers ever sat there. The food and presentation were fine. The restaurant was a bit cold and I had to keep my jacket on. When we got the bill, we were shocked to be charged 16.95 per person, they told us over the phone the day before that it was 15.95 per person for January 1. We brought this up with the waitress and she rudely replied that it was 16.95 per person. She ignored anything we said to her. Based on this experience, we will not be coming back. The staff need to be trained to provide better customer service. read more

Recently started eating sushi as a vegetarian. Ordered a small order to share with 3 sets of cutlery set online. Asked the front a question regarding the condiments provided however instead of answering The questions, the front became super dismissive and response was very blunt and rushed. Checked the order and realized only one set of chopsticks provided. Went back and told them we had ordered with 3 sets and the front owner says "oh since when $10 food for 3 people?" Uh Not sure when $ ordered started to equal with persons eating esp. when it comes to something as cheap and trivial as wooden cheap chopsticks not even the food in question?? Decent food but off putting experience. Defensive and unsociable owners seems like. read more

I went to Sake Sushi as per recommendation of co-workers. It is located in one of the numerous malls along Hwy 7. Parking is plentiful in front of the restaurant. The curb appeal is not great, but the decor improves once inside the restaurant. When I go to Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurants, I usually order all the sushi and sashimi first, followed by a separate order of hot food items, finally finishing with an order of dessert. I believe this works best to get the food in the "right" order, with the lighter (and more expensive fish) fare first, followed by the heavier items later. I went as part of a large group for lunch, so everybody's orders went in at the same time and we got a mix of hot and cold dishes in a chaotic order. Let me first say that I was pleasantly surprised with Sake Sushi's AYCE quality. The quality of the nigiri sushi, sashimi and rolls was generally good; the only exception was the "white tuna", the texture did not feel right. The hot food was a mixed bag, not as consistently good as the fish. For instance, the beef ribs were alright, but the shrimp tempura took a long time to arrive (close to the end of the meal) and was mostly limp; there was a dish (orange chicken, I guess, I don't know what it was) that nobody liked. Green tea ice cream was good, but the mango yogurt did not taste good. Service was fast, although I should mention that it was in the middle of the week, and we went there late, after the lunch peak time. We did not experience issues not receiving everything we ordered. read more

50th REVIEW WHAT WHAT!! Came here the other day because I was craving sushi and in the neighborhood (my boyfriend got a new job nearby). I went on Yelp and pressed nearby and this was actually the first thing to come up! And you can never go wrong with a 4 star rating!! The first thing I noticed was that the restaurant was PACKED! There was only one table left for us! As annoying as a packed restaurant can sometimes be, it's a good indicator of whether or not it's good. It was an AYCE restaurant and had ipad menus. Everything came super fast and they didn't miss anything like a lot of AYCE places tend to do. The staff were SUPER FRIENDLY!!! Like amazingly friendly. Were very consistent with filling up our water, we never had to ask and constantly came and asked how the food was. My favourite was definitely the spicy crab roll. The bill for 2 of us was very close to $30 meaning 15 each on top of tax- very reasonable! I feel like a lot of AYCE lunches end up costing 20 or over with all the taxes and charges and blah blah blah. Great place and I'll definitely be back!! Also I know I usually post pictures but I was so into the food I forgot to take!! :P read more

I came here on a whim one day because I wanted all you can eat sushi. I had a few pieces of sushi, a spicy seafood roll, a hand roll, grilled salmon belly and some desserts. The sushi and spicy seafood roll were delicious. The fish was super fresh and the spicy seafood roll had a good kick to it. As for the desserts, WOW-WE! I loved the red bean paste puff as it came out nice, hot and flaky. They also had an interesting dessert called tempura ice cream, which was kind of cool. It wasn't hot, but inside the ice cream was a nice crunch. It was different. Also, service was great as they came by every 10 minutes or so to check on you and as you finish your last place, they ask if you want a 2nd order. Verdict: A nice little place with great service, ample varieties of sushi/maki (some of which are a bit different than the usual) and great desserts for a very reasonable price. read more

I came here for lunch finally! After driving past for years, I made it inside. I was not disappointed...I loved every bite. Service was fast and pleasant. I really like the AYCE concept here, it makes me more open to trying new things. Sake Sushi is an acceptable and passable option for AYCE in Woodbridge, but I wouldn't come out of the way to come here if you're going to (especially if you're from the east end). We came here for a late lunch on a weekday and it was fairly quiet. The first thing I noticed was that it was so unsuspecting from the outside, and the inside is fairly underwhelming, but gets the job done. It's in a random plaza and isn't facing the main street, so keep your eyes peeled! Overall quality is passable and they have a wide variety of items on their menu. You use an iPad and the ordering process is simple. Some standouts were there spicy rolls here! Especially the spicy salmon gunkan sushi, there was no breadcrumbs and the spicy mayo had a nice kick to it. I found that all the nigiri sushi was good here; the fish wasn't too small and the rice wasn't a huge clump. In addition, their hand rolls were loaded all the way to the bottom and wasn't packed with rice. The maki and special rolls here were average here but I wish there was a better selection. We did experience a slight reduction in the amount of items as the meal went on but that was fine because we were getting quite full as well. But overall they gave you what you ordered and the items came out really quickly! Overall service was quick and efficient, water was filled often, and the value was fair. It's not a bad option in Woodbridge for AYCE sushi! read more

Super busy on a Tuesday night! Waited to be seated for about 40 minutes, understandable though. Our table had flies that wouldn't leave. Our IPad was on 7%. Orders came out super slow. Drinks came out halfway through our meal. Had to get another IPad. Water wasn't even cold, just room temperature. After our orders came out super slow, we were told it was last call. Was going to pay cash but then told we had to pay by card. When I took out the card, we were then told cash was okay. On days that I've gone and it was practically empty, service is still slow...... Food is good! So kudos But If you have 2+ hours to be waiting for your food, come here. read more

This was consistently our go-to sushi place (both in person and takeout), but we stopped going after having foreign objects twice in our udon soup.
