I had a great experience with this company. If you don't read my entire review, read this…read more.. They do much more than install generators. This is a real deal electrician, problem solver, listener and example of a company committed to customer service excellence without compromise. Without boring you with the details, I needed a forensic electrician. I was having power issues that I knew would be extremely hard to troubleshoot. Nate and Devon were fantastic. They didn't give up on finding the problem even when I was starting to give up myself. Nonstop effort, critical thinking and absolute professionalism were on display. Thankfully, I can rest easy now knowing the problem has been resolved. Beyond that, they did a cleanup effort that I was not expecting. Truly did everything they could to restore my home to its original condition despite having to access walls etc. My highest recommendation. Use them with confidence!

I have searched for a backup generator for the past several years, and when we built this new house, I had two transfer switches built into the outside garage wall, ready for a backup generator. Nathan Snyder's quote was by far the best! He said they were a small, family owned business, and as we were talking, I just had this gut feeling that he was a trust worthy, Christian man! I found out from his employees, who did an amazing installation job, that he was a Deacon in his church, and he treated his employees very well. They all loved their jobs and the company!

One was in training and spent a majority of his time sitting outside on his phone. That aside, the primary tech stated they rarely work on these and I had suggested a few things to look for which he agreed was a good idea - almost as he was remembering some distant training he had. He used a service valve that filled the condensation pipe with water which presented a leak within the wall coming out under the drywall. Instead of connecting a hose or something to drain into a bucket he kept using it and causing more water to fill inside the wall. Eventually they had to call the manufacturer for support and they required a manometer to successfully troubleshoot, which the tech proceeded to call a "worthless piece of shit" and hung up because they were not equipped with these tools. They had to come back the next day after acquiring the tools which were ~$100. They proceeded to confirm the heat exchanger and gas valve needed replaced under warranty. The parts were sent to D&H directly while I awaited the quote... $2800 in labor to replace these parts. This was egregious and downright unacceptable. I refused the estimate and requested to pickup the parts myself which they would not provide me as the home owner. The option was to send them back to the manufacturer and I would have to request another warranty replacement. This meant a delay of over a week to send back and honestly felt like a hostage/punishment for refusing their estimate, call out another company, request the parts again and have them replaced. The manufacturer was very helpful in facilitating this but with numerous calls and emails by me to both in order to resolve this made this experience much worse than it had to be. Ultimately, went with McConnell plumbing which replaced the parts and repaired the leaking pipe for $650. They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to provide a great experience. I won't ever to business with D&H after this and will ensure to tell friends and family who ask for recommendations to not to business with them either.

They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, but they were easily the most professional in all our interactions. There's no reason for me to have regular interactions with electricians, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Tom King Electric was listed on the Tesla website as a Certified Installer, so that led me to their website which was easy to navigate, find their contact information, and easily get a quote. We needed our Tesla Wall Charger installed in a detached carport at an older home, so I did have some additional questions regarding running a new below-ground power line and whether our main electrical system was adequate. A staff member even came out to do a no-fee site visit ahead of time to make sure we didn't run into any surprises during the actual installation. For the installation itself, the two electricians who came out to do the work were very professional and courteous. They even parked their heavy work truck in the street as a precaution to make sure it didn't crack our driveway. I'm personally not an electrician so I've no clue what they actually did, but they were cool about letting me watch and ask questions as they worked. After the installation, they cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess we'd have to deal with later. Again, the staff at Tom King Electric was wildly helpful, patient, and professional in putting up with all my nonsense. In full disclosure, they did offer a $10 discount on our invoice if we left them an online review, but I'd have left them a positive one otherwise. I'd have no problem recommending Tom King Electric. Our house is nearly 100 years old, so I'm sure we'll have them back out at some point.

I hired Tom King Electric to replace an existing EV charger and also requested installation of a…read moreTesla Powerwall in the same initial scope. In our original written request, we clearly included the Powerwall installation. That portion was never explicitly declined or excluded when the estimate was sent over. As a result, we reasonably believed the quoted price covered the full scope. Only after the work was completed did they inform us they do not install Powerwalls at all. Adding to the confusion, the technician onsite indicated the Powerwall had been "handled," but the equipment was never installed and remains unopened. The charger replacement itself was very straightforward (existing wiring, breaker, and only a few inches from the panel), so the final price was excessive relative to the actual work performed--especially given the misunderstanding around scope. I attempted to resolve this directly and proposed a partial adjustment to reflect the limited work completed, but that was declined. If this had been clearly communicated upfront--"we don't do Powerwalls, this quote is only for the charger"--this would have been a non-issue. At this point, I'd recommend that future customers go elsewhere for electrical work. Happy to update this review if we're able to come to a reasonable resolution.
