I have been battling stickers in my yard and signed up for 7 treatments in my yard for $385. There…read morehas been no difference in my yard and the stickers are still the exact same as prior to using them. Said they came to my property 2 different times and they did not. I was home during the times of said treatments and did not see anyone, my cameras did not detect anyone, and there is no fertilizer to be seen on my lawn.

I hate to have to change my 5 star review to 2 stars but it is all the deserve. They previously…read morekept my yard beautiful years ago and that went great. However, everything went downhill when we moved and I tried to get service with them again. I got hung up on repeatedly and could never leave a message. It was so strange and I brought this to their attention. I work during the week and needed to leave a message on the weekend. There should be a way to do that. The owner is pretty responsive although not great at customer service. I decided to give them another chance bc they did a great job on my lawn previously. I could never get a quote on the area I requested and kept telling them I wasn't getting a response. I dropped it and chose a different company. Fast forward to today, i gave them yet another chance because crappy communication doesn't equal bad work. I wanted them to fix my sprinkler system and they sent a guy out who had no idea what was going on. He turned on my sprinklers and starts digging holes everywhere, nowhere near the leak. When he arrived I told him where it was and pointed and he nodded his head. I went out to tell him to turn the sprinklers off because he won't see the leak if all the grass is wet and we had previously turned our water off so everything was dry. He then turned MORE sprinkers on that were spraying on me while I was trying to direct him. He then told me he speaks very little English. Totally not his fault but the office should have made sure he had interpretation for directions and for me to tell him what was going on. The office didn't answer when I called to try to get some translation so I called the owner. He told me "this guy knows what he is doing" (despite other reviews I now just read about their irrigation). I mentioned I was paying hourly for him to walk around my back yard when the leak was in my front yard. The owner said how about we just part ways and I'll pull my guy. I set aside the whole morning for this and was majorly inconvenienced and hurt by that response. FORTUNATELY I called another guy who said it shouldn't have been done that way. He is going to come out and look at the leak the proper way and then give me an estimate rather than an hourly rate to dig holes all over my yard. I am so glad that guy left and I do appreciate they didn't charge me (although the guy only did more damage than good) because he DID NOT know what he was doing. Reading other reviews it seems like Evergreen could do a lot better if they work on clear communication.

The orchid I chose at TLC had a couple of areas on the leaves that looked like cotton. I took it back to the information desk and the women wiped off the white area and told me it would be fine. My husband purchased the orchid for me for $60.00. Unfortunately, the white chalky substance kept coming back. I googled the information and found out it had mealybugs. I followed the directions to clean the area with alcohol. After trying to remove it for two months without success, I took the plant back to TLC today to ask for help. Paul, the manager was at the front door and told me to go to the middle of the store to talk to the woman at the information desk. She determined the mealybugs were in the potting media which is why I could not eliminate them with alcohol. She said she could repot the orchid but there would be a cost. Obviously, the potting media was infected when the orchid was purchased two months ago. I was insulted when told I would have to pay for the repotting process. I spoke with the manager, Paul, and he told me house plants do not have any type of warranty. I learned a lesson today. I will not buy house plants from TLC! I will buy them at a business that carries a warranty for a third of the cost! Susan M Reply to Frank on July 18 Frank, I would appreciate a retraction on your response. The orchid WAS purchased at TLC on May 6! The above story is accurate except for the amount spent ($50 instead of $60). I had not looked up the receipt before coming by TLC yesterday. The reference number on the receipt is 32073802. The total amount spent that day was $122.70. I have 6 very healthy orchids purchased at different locations. The white pot left with the orchid must have been switched while watering. The orchid purchased from Whole Foods is healthy and doing well. Actually, over the years I have never had a problem with an orchid being affected with mealybugs except for the orchid purchased at TLC. One statement you made is correct. This is the first review I have made on YELP because I wanted to let others know that customer service is questionable at your business. I understand policy is policy on the return of houseplants. I was not upset until being told there would be a charge to repot the plant. It didn't make sense for me as the customer, to pay to correct a problem that I wasn't responsible for. It would have cost very little for your employee to offer to repot the plant for free.
