The quality of help here cycles from great to horrible. Right now it is on the way down from pretty bad. I have purchased WELL over a hundred thousand dollars of items here over the last 20 years and I am almost sick of this place. I was getting a military discount and a Lowes Pros discount. Now I pretty much get just points that I have no idea what they are good for. There are TWO employees who treat me like a valued client. The rest are pretty much worthless. I placed my glasses on the counter at customer service and then got into an argument with a clerk who refused to get a manager for me. She called a couple of men over to assist her in yelling at me. I left and realized I did not have my glasses. Went right back in to get them and she said I did not leave them there. I managed to get a manager who asked the clerk if I left my glasses there. She smirked at me and said I did NOT leave them. And the manager turned to me and said, "I guess you didn't leave them here." That was $500 premium frames I expected to wear for years." I purchased $2600 worth of items back in April. The clerk told me to get more tile than I needed just to be sure because they were planning to stop carrying the style I was buying. I bought about 30 more tiles than I needed, including some in an open box. When I tried to return them, I was told that they do not take open boxes back or individual tiles, and besides, they said, "It has been about five days past the time you can return them." Seriously? There was no mention of that when I was buying the extra tiles. I purchased the wrong $95 bucket of screws. Tried to return them a week later and was told they could not find any record of where I had purchased them. I paid cash and lost the receipt. They said they do not take returns without a receipt anymore. I bought paint mixed to a specific color. When I returned, the two gal. of paint were sitting on the counter and no one was there. So I took them, paid for them, and went out and placed them in the back floor of my truck with about a thousand dollars worth of DeWalt cordless tools. When I arrived at my home about 20 miles away, I found the entire back seat are of my truck was covered in paint. The clerk had not sealed one of the cans. I went back and asked why and he said, "I thought maybe you might want to look at the paint before you purchases it." It is customary to mark a dash of the paint on the top of the lid for that, but management gave me 20% off on my next purchase. I usually get 15% anyway, so I saved about $80 for getting my back seat ruined. Oh, and now my DeWalt tools are clearly mine and not liable to get mixed up with someone else's. I went back to Home Depot yesterday and just felt sad that I was not going to be using my Lowes store anymore. They worked pretty hard several years ago to get my business. read more

I would give 0 stars if this was an option. I bought a refrigerator that was on the floor as a display and the refrigerator does not cool the refrigerator of the freezer. I've requested a refund or store credit and have been more than willing to purchase another refrigerator from this store, but they are unwilling to offer this as an option. They've told me they would issue a refund if the manufacturer would provide an RA number, which the manufacturer says they do not do. Lowe's offered to add on a protection plan to resolve my issue, which I agreed to, so they refunded the initial charge, then charged it back with the protection plan. Since adding the protection plan, they have told me they are unable to repair the refrigerator, and the manufacturer needs to make the repair. The manufacturer has sent out a technician who is unable to make a repair and I am stuck in limbo. This Lowe's has been unwilling to offer a refund or solution of any kind to a refrigerator they sold. This is the worst purchasing and customer service experience of my entire life. I would never make a significant purchase with this store. read more

This is a decent Lowes. I mainly come to look at their plants (which they are unfortunately super skilled at killing. This location has a better selection than others close by. The last time I went in I specifically had a few projects in mind. One of the workers went out of his way to walk me around the store to find the supplies which I immensely appreciated and definitely was not expected. I do love that they offer masks at the front doors to patrons (even though the pile is usually empty) They definitely used to have better discounts on their plants that were going out of season or in the dying process and I wish they would give people a chance to save a plant instead of letting them die completely. read more

For materials Lowe's is great but I continue having a terrible experience hiring them for installation of flooring. The young person helping me either does not know what she is doing or does not care. She keeps making up stories just so she can hang up the phone. I talked to a manager and she acted bewildered, like it could not be true. There is no accountability once Lowe's has your money for the contracted work and I am stuck coordinating all the scheduling between Lowe's and the contractor. I have had to request cancellation of the project before I could get anyone's attention. Lowe's and their contractor closed out my work even though it was not complete. I'm now back on the phone having to request a partial refund to get anyone's attention. Save your time and frustrations and go to a reputable flooring company. I recently bought 3 patio sun screens from the "close out" table. When I attempted to install them I discovered all 3 screens were actually broken and would not retract up or down. The tension rod on all 3 screens were actually broken before we removed them from the box. Lowe's shouldn't sell broken and unusable merchandise as close out items without disclosing the fact first. I don't recommend buying any of their close out items because there's no guarantee that the item won't be a complete piece of unusable rubbish. read more

Two days ago one of the wash wands fell off. I've had Lowes build a fence in my backyard, replace my air conditioner, and my front window. They have rental machines as well where I rented out an insulation blower for my attic where I picked up the machine and insulation and blew the insulation myself with the help of a friend. Visited the Lowe's on 2401 North Kelly Ave in Edmond, Ok. We are expanding our farm and have been searching for items as well as getting input from the professionals. We came to this Lowe's and hit the jackpot. The staff here starting with Mgr Michael Bone was top notch and even educated us on different types of lumber and supplies. We were also helped by other associates Andrew, Caleb and Daniel. Needless to say we were pleased with the service and will make this our store for all of our home and farm needs. We have been very loyal to this Lows location over the last three years and never had an issue,until now. We purchased a Frigidaire convection cooktop and after 6 weeks it has completely failed and will noy work. We paid Lows for the product,installation and extended warranty. When we contacted Lows we were directed to Frigidaire to deal with them since it is outside the 48 hours that Lows stands behind the products they sell. Well dealing with Frigidaire is absolutely frustrating and borderline unproductive. They have informed us that we will be with out a stove for a minimum of 11 days before they can get someone out to even look at it. Not ideal! We just went to Lows to see if they can help with any of this (since we are Lows customer) and were basically told there is nothing they can do to expedite a service call since all of their installations are done through a third party. There was no offering of taking down our names and numbers to see if they can work with the third party to get someone out quicker. It was you can get a small refund or a return. So we left with zero resolution, zero feeling that we matter as their customer and a very solid opinion that you should never buy appliances and installation through Lows.....PERIOD!!!! Lows take care of your customers then have your vendors thake care of you. This is how it should work without exception. read more

Anytime I've come here I have gotten the exact help I've needed. Today may be one of the last days I stop in before our move. Tye helped me to color match wall paint for the house we are renting. This Lowe's is amazing and quite literally saved my life. When we moved into a new house the movers completely broke our refrigerator where it was unusable. I take a medication that has to be refrigerated. We ordered a new one but it wasn't going to be available to be delivered for weeks. The team at Lowe's went above and beyond, sending a crew over immediately with a loaner fridge until ours arrived. This is my favorite Lowe's and I'm lucky to live so close to this location. The store is always nice and clean, and the service is fantastic! I came to buy black mulch today and wasn't there for more than 10 minutes and felt really welcomed because every single one of their workers in the outdoors/garden section said hi and offered assistance. One worker even helped carry the bag of mulch down from the giant stock pile into my cart. Now that is exceptional service right there! He just walked by and saw me struggling and jumped right in to help. I will be back to this Lowe's. read more

I live about a mile from this Lowes so I'd likely go here often whether it was good or not for basic home essentials. However, I keep going for hardware, light bulbs, etc. because it is a particularly good Lowe's. I find that Lowes, like different Home Depot locations can be hit or miss when it comes to quality. This one is most definitely a hit. The prices here are particularly good -- and so much better than other local options. In addition, the staff at this Lowes are particularly helpful and knowledgeable -- something you don't get at every Lowes location in my experience. They are bright and helpful. The store is kept clean, is not overcrowded, and items are easy to find. Occasionally they have a day when kids come in and make things -- you see a whole row of little toddlers banging away. It is actually quite cute, if not deafeningly loud, but cute. Their prices on light bulbs are particularly good. I'm not sure why, but they are much lower here than anywhere else I can find them. This is a particularly good Lowes location. As an update to this review, I want to add that the people who work at this Lowe's location are particularly helpful and have great attitudes. I recently had to buy many heavy items, and guys there helped without skipping a beat. The cashier who checked me out said "thank you for your business" -- and I sensed that he really meant it. I've now had several really bad experiences at this particular Lowes. The employees seem to be at a complete loss when it comes to being able to provide answers or assist with issues on DYI home improvements or projects. Today I took some simple 3/4 inch PVC collars to a check out line. Although most of these PVC pieces were marked with a SKU # a couple were not. The kid at the register handed me their pricing catalog and said I may need to help him locate the PVC items within. Those items were not in the catalog. Then, rather than call for a price check, he suggested I get out of line and go photograph the SKU number and bring it back to him. I refused and insisted he get some assistance. Online it only tells you delivery of our washer and dryer between 8am and 8pm. Yesterday my wife calls to ask if she can at least know morning or afternoon. The lady on the phone from the 2nd street store was rude and would not help look up the order status. Today I called an OKC Lowe's, and a helpful gentleman was able to inform me it was being delivered from the Kelly and Covell location. I call that location, and get put on hold for over 5 minutes without even having been asked if I mind holding. After the long hold I still don't know... a) when the delivery might arrive, b) if our merchandise is verified on a truck scheduled for delivery, or c) why we haven't been contacted with an ETA in the day of delivery. At the time of writing this, the associate named Garrett ( who was helpful) had earlier told me he would have a manager call me back per my request. Garrett calls me back. I ask why the manager did not call me, he would only say manager put it back on him. So Garrett was helpful, but the expectation was set that a manager would call me, and that did not get followed thru. Not a big deal in itself, but added to the poor communication and customer service up to this point, it rubbed me the wrong way. It is now 3:53 pm and we are told delivery will be from 4-6. Still no explanation as to why we weren't notified that the equipment was set on the truck for today with an ETA. Hopefully the delivery drivers will be helpful and all products are in good condition. I don't know how much money needs to be spent for good customer service, clear communication, and for expectations that are set to be met... but I know it must be more than $2200. If the delivery guys are helpful and polite to my wife, I'll upgrade my rating from 2 stars to 3 stars. Update: at 3:53 pm I was told our washer and dryer will be delivered between 4 and 6pm. At 6:30pm still no delivery. I finally get a manager who tells me the delivery driver who had our appliances clocked out at 4:30. He then had the gall to tell me he was working on it. From 4:30 to 6:30 when I called, literally NO ONE was working on it. We waited 2 months for this order and are seriously considering canceling it altogether. My original 2 star is downgraded to 1. Simple mistakes can be tolerated, but for $2200 this has been a complete sh** show! read more

Just now bought a new garage door here. I like this Lowe's better than the ones in downtown Edmond or north OKC. I tried ordering a garage door online from Lowes.com, but it never went through. Thankfully the website people directed this store to call me, and Stephen was super-helpful and found me an even better deal than I was getting online (and the deal I was getting online included 3 different discounts). When I came to the store to pay for the door, there was a snag or two, but Stephen and another friendly guy worked our way through it and got me back on my way fairly quickly. I decided to also buy a push mower here while I was at it. I love this Lowes store in Edmond. Since my family moved here we've spent thousands at this store including a riding lawn mower, weed wacker, lots of shelving, custom blinds and more. The staff there is always helpful and the folks in the lumber department have made a lot more cuts for me then they are probably obligated to do that has helped me to get my home shelving projects done. The store is also very clean with wide aisles. I'd recommend getting a Lowes card as you can save 5% on all your purchases though the one down side is they don't allow you to get that discount if you also have a coupon, which is my one point of contention. read more
