We arrived at 9pm on a Saturday night and we were seated in a booth immediately. The restaurant wasn't busy, as it was pretty late. The decor was colorful and the music playlist was perfect for this millenial! Our server, Jake, was awesome. He was super nice and kept our drinks full. We started with a half order of classic buffalo wings. They were pretty petite but extremely flavorful and fresh. We went with a 20 inch Philly Steak pizza. It was AMAZING. Queso sauce, real pieces of steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms. The crust was great texture. We definitely fell in love! The menu has the usual apps and sammies but there are quite a few unique pizzas to try. We will be back for sure! read more

We ordered the cheese toast, Stromboli pizza, and the House special pizza. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Our waiter was very friendly. We came on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy at all. We were able to walk right in and get a table. We love that they have Graeter's Ice Cream for dessert! If you ever find yourself on the West Side and want pizza, this is a good option! read more

Enjoyed a classic Stromboli for lunch. It was delicious. Fresh ingredients and they were generous with the toppings. We will definitely be back. read more

Normally go to the downtown location, but we stopped in to the west side spot for a change. They were pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon- though not terribly, and it seemed apparent pretty quickly that they were understaffed and we'd probably be waiting a bit. We didn't have a problem with that- we're patient people. Eventually we ordered 2 pizzas, a cheesy bread app, and a Caesar Salad. While waiting we played some video games located in the back, and noticed piles of dirty dishes on table tops/ counter tops, etc...again, not unusual, especially if the place is busy. But honestly it looked like only 2 people were working the entire time and the dishes piling up were just not a good look. We waited for a long time and when we finally got our pizzas they were cold and tasted terrible. This was probably to worst pizza I've ever had in my life- and I'm a firm believer that even bad pizza is still "good" cause hey, it's still pizza, right? This stuff was disgusting- tasted like cheap, frozen dough, and cheap, highly processed layers of cheese, and overall just disgusting. Couldn't even get my 7-yr old to eat it and he eats everything. Our server didn't come back to check on us until we were done eating (we didn't eat much), and gave us the check. I can't believe we even paid money for this slop, but we were just in a hurry to leave at that point, and the entire service took over 2 hours. Very disappointing overall and we won't return. read more

Alex our waiter was so helpful and awesome. We had the fresh baked breadsticks and nacho cheese. They were fantastic and the nacho cheese is good too . In my opinion they were as close to the old school noble Roman's breadsticks as you can get. I had the pesto and tomato pizza. I love thin crust pizza if you don't this may not be the place for you. The only complaint I had was I wish it had more sauce which I will ask first next time. My hubby had the TMNT pizza and really liked it. read more

I waited for a pizza after 2 other people ordered at the bar same as I did. When complaining to the manager, was told " maybe they ordered online". No. They ordered at the bar. Food good. Management sucks! read more

Excellent pizza varieties and the salads are outstanding. Best ice cream ever is a treat, Greater's!

I appreciated the personalized friendly service. The supreme pizza was very yummy. The Jamaican wings and honey garlic wings were also yummy. I'm from California so can't go regularly. However, I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area! read more

I have thought I was a preferred customer,I've feed the men's club I attend several times with Spankies pizza. This time I was getting five pizzas. The best deal I could get was five dollars off.when I asked about delivery I wasn't given a price. I was told nothing is free. Then when I picked up the pizzas I was asked if I needed anything. When I told them I could use some plates, they said i could have five. I would have to pay for them. They didn't charge me for the five napkins. Good pizza but not good enough to put up with the attitude read more

I'm new to Evansville and it was a rainy day. I walked into Spankey's having never been here before and ordered a Steak and Provolone. While standing at the front, I noticed an abundance of active gleaming staff who were efficient with the service. I would definitely order a Steak and Provolone as a carry out order if they delivered to college students whose busses don't run on the weekends :( -Bests N. Stelchek MKTNG Club USI read more

Always wonderful and best pizza in town!! The team, food options and overall quality are the best!

One of our favorite Evansville pizza spots! The food is really good, the pizzas and the sandwiches are amazing! My wife has a wheat allergy and they have a great gluten free selection of crust and bread! Service is usually top notch, the building itself is fine but as is the case with most older shopping type areas it could use some upgrades, but it is clean and inviting for a great meal. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be read more

Wow! I have lived in Evansville all my life and just ate here for the first time last night. Best pizza in town. Our new family favorite! The service was on point and no complaints! Great cannoli's also! read more

Can't say enough about the Cranberry Bacon Spinach Pizza with Feta & Mozz -- sounds questionable but the crackery thin crust that Spankey's is known for just lends so well to this specialty pizza! A must try! read more

Great pizza, loved the crust. I ordered a small spinach salad and this was a home run, the freshness of the salad and all that comes on it. It was fantastic. Waitstaff was attentive. We will definitely be back. read more

Really enjoyed this pizza. The crust was flaky and crispy and the toppings were spot on. A great example of Evansville style pizza

Not too crowded on a Wednesday evening. It looks like the regulars. Got the small Spankey's salad. It comes with croutons, peppers, onions, tomatoes your choice of cheese and dressing. The croutons are perfect, crunchy but melt in your mouth. They are made with all the left over beard that is my in house. The dressing is on the side. Awesome! Wine is five a glass. This place is wallet friendly. The waitress is cute, attentive and serves with a smile. Pizza toppings on the menu are listed in order that they are stacked. I got a small pizza with pretty much everything for less than 9. Thin crunchy crust. Very tasty. Nice single serving size to allow for other menu items to be tried. Music tonight is 70-80s. It is quiet, easy to talk over. One of my pet peeves is loud restaurant music. This is pretty perfect. Ice cream! read more

Excellent pizza and service. We'll go back for sure. Great place for kids, also. Arcade was a little of fun for them.

Great local pizza place, friendly staff. Carry out is fast. and if you dine in, it's clean.

Very good crust and sauce. The mushrooms just a bit soggy. The other topping were tasty. Good service and polite staff.

After watching the salivation-inducing commercials with the funky rump-shaking theme song, I finally made it to the west-side pizzeria. (For those not in town, Evansville views the east, west, and north sides of town, respectively, as "forever" away, even though they are a matter of like 10 miles or so; i.e., a massive small town mentality). The wait was worth it! The food was awesome. First off, the fresh made breadsticks are the best I have had since 1995. I can pinpoint the date because I was in college and there was a pizza place down the street from campus that had these amazing bread sticks and cheese sauce; I basically lived on these for four years as an undergrad. So when you visit, these are an absolute must; also, you have your choice of two sauces, so you don't have to struggle on deciding between cheese or marinara. I really wanted to try their pizza, but I have found the Stromboli is the true litmus test for whether a new pizza shop warrants more than one visit. The strom, like all their sandwiches, comes with three veggies. I added mushrooms, red onions, and pepperoncinis. It was a cheesy, sausagey revelry of flavor! The hand made hoagie bun with the garlic butter sauce was the perfect amount of crunch and flavor to complement all the internal gooey goodness. My daughter opted for the chicken sandwich; she chose black olives, mushrooms, and green peppers. She cleaned her plate so I guess she sorta liked it. Both sandwiches were around $10 each, so a reasonable amount for a meal out with the fam. The owner, Ryan, actually took our order and made a point to stop by our table to see how we were digging the food. Super nice dude! The waitress was super friendly and attentive as well. On my next visit, the veggie lover pizza will be up for critique, so stay tuned, my fellow pizza loving Yelpers! read more

My friends and I came here when we were in town and maybe they do pizza differently in Indiana, but the crust of this pizza was like a flakey cracker. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't what we were expecting and tasted a bit odd. Everything else was fine. The service was good. read more

Heard good things about this pizza place. We stopped in after catching a movie. The restaurant doesn't have any charm. Tables were full and their did not appear to be social distancing so we decided to get the pizza to go. Wait time for the pizza was great. We ordered the supreme. Pizza was very attractive but it looked better than it tasted. It was just average. The middle pieces had soggy crust. I was a little disappointed all and all. I may try again if on that side of town but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. I will most likely stick to someplace I know Sorry spankeys read more

I am vegetarian and Spankey's has an amazing vegan strom! Spankey's is one of my favorite places for pizza period. Best in town actually! Service was absolutely horrible. Took 20 minutes to order drinks. Another 20 minutes to get them. Ordered an appetizer. 30 minutes later they brought the wrong appetizer. Ordered two of their "specialty" pizzas. Couldn't make one right and "forgot" to put the other in. Didn't tell us until an hour after we ordered it. read more

Such a cute little pizza/Italian joint! Very delicious food with a wonderful menu! A great option for vegans and vegetarians (me)! I had a customized vegan deluxe pizza (I substituted the vegan mozzarella for regular mozzarella, and instead of black olives I got green olives). This pizza also came with vegan sausage which tasted like real sausage! So delicious! The vegetables tasted great, the crust was crackery and crispy! The cheesy bread was so cheesy and delicious. Our waitress was so cute and friendly. She was also vegan so we talked about how great the sausage is! Highly recommended pizza place. It wasn't busy at the time we stopped, and it was clean. The bill came to a reasonable price as well. read more

In Evansville on business and coworker recommended Spankey's and glad he did. Stopped in for lunch and was greeted by the friendly manager who took my pizza order of the Greek thin crust pizza and recommended their handmade breadsticks.
