During the general COVID-19 lockdowns, the dining room was closed but the drive-up window was active, serving customers who ordered and paid by phone. The manager matched all tips as an added benefit to his staff. Because of the added effort required for the team to serve its clients, I have doubled my usual gratuity and continued to do so throughout the lockdowns.
