The spaghetti house has been a family favorite of ours for decades. It's not too flashy or over the top, it's just downright delicious and the pasta is perfect. I'm a sucker for the classics. Normally stick with something very simple like there's spaghetti Pomodoro. read more

Spaghetti carbonara 8.63/10- this was great. Huge black pepper taste mixed with cheese/cream and a hint of spicy flavor. Incredibly filling, thoroughly enjoyed Calamari 8.41/10- very delicious however expected more pieces. The sauce served with it was phenomenal, a bit of a creamy garlic aoli. Calamari itself melts in your mouth and is the perfect level of chewiness. Olives 8.32/10- great but kind of a small serving. Incredibly rich in flavor read more

Great food, great service, great location. I found this location again stopping by here 15 years ago. I remembered having a good Italian meal back than, but no details. Luckily, my memory has not failed me. We got a table curbside for people watching. Started with the bruschetta, which was fantastic. Spaghetti Carbonara where to the point and you can taste the freshness. Lasagna is home made and full of flavor. Finished it off with Panacotta and Afogato. A perfect meal. read more

The location of this restaurant is great. As I was attending Phantom at the theatre next door I decided to pop in for a bite before the show began. Atmosphere: a great atmosphere, very romantic. It gives off the vibe of an upscale eatery. I enjoyed the dim lights and candle lit tables. Service: Service was good. We were seated right away (though they prefer you have a reservation. We were able to be seated upon walking in. Food came out fast and our waiter was attentive. Food: This is where the restaurant was lacking. It did not tase very authentic. I got spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were very dry and burnt on the opt smile the pasta was undercooked and poorly seasoned sauce. I was not a fan of their pasta least to say. The garlic bread was great though! I highly recommend it if you decide to come. Overall this was a convenient dining experience, though I wouldn't recommend their food. read more

Spaghetti House - Italian Near Me - London, XGL

The spaghetti are OK. House wine relatively weak. The sandwich too dry, but I understand this place is called the Spaghetti house. The services were on the inattentive side. The server came, took our order without writing them down, then came back to confirm the orders (there were only 3 items), then came back to tell us one of them is out. We were pretty much left alone and needing to waive for water. read more

Wow! One of the best places we ate while we were in London. We are from the USA, and have a bit of a picker pallet so while trying to avoid another night of pub food we found this cute place. The staff was amazing, food superb, and the atmosphere was amazing. When we come back, it's a place we will frequent! read more

Spaghetti House - Spaghetti - Italian Near Me - London, XGL

Trying out a different branch, but if you want Italian and a spag bol, you cannot really go wrong at a Spaghetti House, and you always get a warm and friendly welcome. However, as with any chain restaurant, I have my faves, and I always felt that the original branch at Goodge Street, and the one at Sicilian Avenue, still seems the better ones. It was their 60th Anniversary this weekend, and they enticed customers with a spaghetti bolognese or spaghetti pomodoro at their original 1955 price of 60p. So it did feel massed produced, the sauce being a bit dry, but the portion size was decent enough. Their wines were good and their home made tiramisu was light and very well made. At the end of the meal, everyone was given a complimentary Limoncello. All in all a good evening, with extremely good hospitality, from the founder's son, Riccardo, and his team, but you do come away spending more than the 60p! read more

Came for an early dinner. Very nice and clean inside. Asked waiter to turn Sophia's spaghetti and meatballs into a vodka sauce and he looked at me like I had three heads. He offered an opinion that he didnt think that was a good idea. I asked if he was Italian and when he said no I realized his ignorance. Pastas came out fresh and hot and were enjoyable. 3.5 is a better score for this palce read more

Decent little spot in London. We were cold and hungry and just happened upon this place for a bite. Although the service was good, my dish, which was a pesto pasta dish, was heavily on the salted. I had to use some additional spices to help cut down on the salt taste as I did not want to send my dish back. You also have to purchase bread for the table, which I guess I am spoiled as in the states, it does come complimentary. We had to find our own olive oil and balsamic and condiments as none were provided at our table(weird). Not sure if I will ever visit this little spot again, but give it a try for yourself. They may have just been having an off day. read more

Nothing special. Typical, average quality Italian restaurant. The pizza was good, the antipasti (small risotto and salad) unimpressive. Service also good. It's an ok place if you're looking for reliable Italian but nothing special. read more

First off, the guy behind the counter in the front was making such a racket with the plates and cups that I actually got a headache. Constant banging and loudly tossing them around it sounded like a kitchen. Completely ruined the atmosphere and it was non stop for 15 minutes. The food was very average. The appetizers were sloppy, calamari looked like they didn't even fill the plate properly. Carbonara was extremely bland. Coke glass was stained and gross. The bathroom was disgusting. Altogether not impressed and quite annoyed by the loud sloppy man making head splitting noises in the dining area. Avoid this place. read more

Food was decent but the service was poor. We ordered the three course special and pasta carbonara. The waiter took over 10 minutes to stop by. We ordered tea and water. It took another 10 minutes to grab our teas. The waters never came. Then our waiter disappeared and never came back. The waitress who took care of us after was much more friendly although equally inattentive. read more

Really not a fan of chain restaurants, but there's something not quite so evil and corporate about them if they're not U.S. based chains - hence my willingness to eat at a Spaghetti House. Also - we wanted to see Waiting for Godot, which was sold out, and from our seat in the Spaghetti House we could actually see the returns queue from across the street so we'd know when it was time to get over there and get in the queue. So it all worked out. Oh and we got the tickets, by the way. Ok so back to the restaurant. It's decent Italian. We had pastas, and the food came out in what seemed like seconds - which was awesome cuz I was hungry, but also leads me to believe that their sauces are just in giant vats in the kitchen and everything is mass produced. That doesn't mean it's produced badly - by bolognaise was tasty. Not the best ever but decent. My friend's arrabiata was even kinda spicy, like it should be. The coffee (Illy brand) was great. And the service was weirdly professional - like we were in a fine dining establishment. Which was welcome but almost a little off putting - as in, stop trying to pretend to be all high class. We're in a Spaghetti House for cryin' out loud. So it all worked out. Isn't my first choice for a meal out in London but definitely a fine one. Oh and the prices are totally decent, especially for being a block from Piccadilly Circus. I'm always amazed when I can find anything reasonable in tourist central. But they do exist! You just have to keep your eyes open! read more

The service was on par, as was the food. Best pizza outside of the states. Hidden gem, highly recommend.

To me this was the real deal. I had the special with perfect noodles and fresh tasting sauce - not the overly sweet canned sauce. This had great flavor with bits of salted pork and some wine. I loved it! Authentic food in a casual atmosphere. read more

I was in London by myself for one night and needed a quick meal before the theatre. This place was nearby and looked decent. The service was average. The food was alright, and the price was not horrible. If you didn't plan in advance and you just need a quick bite before going to the Phantom, great - otherwise skip it. read more

It's good located near the amazing picadilly circus. Interior not really authentic but ok. It's a small restaurant but not too tight. Service is professional but leaves a stressed impression. We had lasagne and a pasta variation. Although the house was crowded we got the meals relatively quick. So the most things have to be ready-cooked instead of fresh dressed. The portions were "clear" but in any case really delicious. The waitor rubs fresh parmigiano cheese in top of the dishes. The prices are in the range of 15£ but don't forget you are in the heart of London. My summary: good italian food with acceptable prices. not appropiate for the big hunger. read more

5 star food, 1 star service. The food was absolutely amazing. Truly. I don't want to over-hype it, but my wife and I both thought the food was fabulous. We ate before seeing Phantom just next door. Simply delicious. Now...the negatives. Worst service I have come across in a long time. The front manager seemed friendly enough, and the man who brought out the food was pleasant as well, but our waiter, Jorge, was the rudest person I've met in the whole of London. He went out of his way to actually ignore us and treat us poorly. This is not a miscommunication or a misunderstanding. Maybe he was just having a bad night, but wow- I honestly can't think of a time when I've had a worse server. He single-handedly turned an easy 5-star review into a 3 star. read more

Food was delicious and service was amazing! The best Italian food I had in London. I was most impressed with our server, Sloviki (I think that's how you spell his name), who was extremely knowledgeable and kind. He and the manager were very friendly and chatted with us for about 10 minutes after our meal, giving us advice on places to visit during our stay. Request Sloviki as your server and order the panciotti (if you like seafood) and you'll have an amazing experience! read more

Excellent service and food. For tasty meal and fast service with affordable prices, this is the place to go.

Decent food. My son loves spaghetti and he said it was great. I had a chicken sandwich but with a fancy name and tasted pretty good too. Decent drinks but the capacino was pretty damn good. Nice convenient right in the picadaly circus. Service was pretty good too. Love when people serve you with a smile. read more

Excellent place. Had the large spaghetti bolognese and split between 3 people and was fabulous. Friendly service.

Not a fan. Considered not even writing a review. This place did not impress me in any form whatsoever. On a theatre deal we almost had to walk away having not eaten a thing as our show was 10minutes from starting and it was a 10 min walk from the theatre - just made our show as the doors were closing..The only reason I gave it one star is cause they eventually did give us a meal. read more

This was a welcome and refreshing stop after a busy day on foot, and is an accommodating place compared to the legions of surly staffed dining establishments in London. The soups are hearty, salads fresh and nourishing, and food hot and well prepared. Travel is demanding and begs careful eating --this place was what the doctor ordered. It appears to be well managed and I felt welcome and left happy. read more

Great staff and top quality service. Most importantly food is made with real care and attention. You wouldn't expect that from a chain restaurant but they really do make a lot of effort for all customers. read more

Food was good. Service was good, but a little slow. It could've been due to ordering something gluten free. Would definitely go again, but probably wouldn't be my first choice. read more

Went into this place with high hopes from all the positive Yelp reviews, however, our experience was TERRIBLE! The service was absolutely horrid. Definitely felt like it was racially based as we (my sister and I) are Mexican-American and saw that every single table except ours had a pitcher of water and would receive frequent visits from the waitress asking how they were doing and if they needed anything. It was difficult to get the waitress's attention (despite the fact that she paid plenty attention to the tables directly next to us). We never received refills on our water and had to ask the waitress multiple times for cheese for our pasta. The food was also very bland. Never going to this place again and will warn others of our horrible experience! read more

Fine place for unpretentious Americans who want fresh, reliable food. Location is next to Phantom of the Opera.

The spaghetti bolognese was really good and there was plenty of it. Service was rather slow but overall good food when we needed it. I'd eat here again! read more

I remember getting a pizza from here. It wasn't memorable. I'll just keeping walking next time. Nothing to write home about.
