Leo and his team at Leo's Home Solutions came out and did one hell of a job. Their team was incredibly coordinated and completed both the crawlspace and attic in a single day. The attic didn't have any infestations, but they carefully identified potential entry points and blocked them off to help prevent future problems. In the crawlspace, they completely removed all the trash and animal remnants, including droppings, then sanitized the area with a lemon deodorizer and bacteria-killing treatment. They also fully replaced the mesh lining on the vents surrounding the house, including both the crawlspace and attic vents. Within a couple of days, the flies were gone and the lingering smell had cleared up. What I appreciated most was that Leo was responsive, straightforward, and willing to fully address an unpleasant problem rather than just putting a temporary band-aid on it. The price was fair and reasonable considering the amount and quality of work his team put in. Crawlspace and animal-related problems are not something you want to deal with, but Leo made the process much easier. After discovering some of my duct connections were wrapped in asbestos, a specialized asbestos abatement company was hired to remove the asbestos & everything in contact with it. After that was completed, Insulation Labs was hired to: Remove all of the old blown-in insulation (with a giant vacuum); sanitize the attic; Air Seal any openings into the attic including any electrical wiring or fixtures (ceiling lights, attic fans & plumbing/HVAC pipes or runs). Also included was Rodent Exclusion (performed by a pest control company) - sealing up any places that allowed entrance or exit into or out of the attic. And finally, Installing R38 roll-in fiberglass insulation (cut to fit inside of the rafters). The entire crew (up to 6 or 8 individuals) were AWESOME! Especially Victor & Domingo! They were constantly giving me updates & progress reports on what was happening, & if I asked a question, they would stop what they were doing & give me their full undivided attention, completely explaining things, & then make sure my question was answered, & then inquire if I had any more questions! I also explained that I would be having a city inspector evaluate it. Instead of having a professional conversation, Angel, the Operations Manager, raised his voice, spoke over me, and became extremely intense and intimidating. I was genuinely trying to understand the situation, not argue with him. Regardless of what the inspection ultimately finds, the way I was spoken to was enough for me to decide that I will not work with this company again. I no longer feel comfortable or confident having them perform additional work on my home. I will have the insulation independently inspected and address any necessary work elsewhere. Based on my experience with management alone, I cannot recommend this company.

It's more of a boutique operation, which means he can offer you guidance without layers of people in between. Jonathan himself, or one of his team members from my understanding, will be up in your attic getting the job done, and they work fast. We requested insulation in our attic, and he came in and had it installed in just a couple of hours. He also replaced an attic fan that dated back to 1970, so our attic ventilation was addressed as part of the service as well. We noticed a major difference the same day, especially with the heat we've been experiencing here in Southern California. We recently bought a house that had inadequate insulation, probably somewhere around R-3, and now we're upwards of R-38. Our air conditioner was hardly ever cycling off. It was running almost the entire time since we bought our house in the middle of this hot summer. We were confused as to why the house kept heating up even while the AC was running. I called Jonathan to discuss the issue, and we talked through radiant barriers, attic ventilation, attic floor sealing, and the existing insulation that was there. He guided me through a cost-effective, value-driven process that made a whole lot of sense. He explained the benefits of each option, and ultimately we landed on starting with the insulation. That alone ended up curing the issue with our HVAC system not being able to keep up with the heat. Now the house feels cooler on hot days, and our AC isn't running nearly as much. It was a very big mess in both spaces. The quote for the work was much more than we expected, but once we saw how much work was done, we were satisfied. The crew led by Oscar spent 7-8 hours cleaning. Another crew came back 5 days later to install insulation. Two weeks ago, we started smelling a foul odor. The rat traps in the attic were tripped and we found rat feces on top of the new insulation. I called Ecorattic and they sent Oscar plus one worker today. They patched up a little hole (chewed by the rat), found the dead rat and cleaned the attic again (at no extra charge). I highly recommend this company for several reasons. My family and I are very impressed by the work ethic of all the Ecorattic workers, especially Oscar and his crew who did all the dirty work. The cost is fair considering all the work that was done.
