Just got a no chip mani and pedi here. I've been wanting to try this place. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the spa and the aesthetician did a very nice job. You get a back/neck massage and he did a great job on my nails and gave a nice leg and hand massage as well. It is very clean, looks pretty but was a little pricey for the south loop. Most places I've gone are a little cheaper. They do offer an early bird special $40 mani/pedi mon-wed which I will be going back for!! I really liked spa O and the staff was nice as well! read more

NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!!! I wish i could upload pictures to show you what the waxing technician did to me. Why would you hire someone who doesnt know how to do their damn job??!! This is not my first time getting a wax and my brazillian took 1 hour ... she left a bunch of hair and had to tweeze them and then guess what?? SHE SLICED MY LABIA open with her tweezers. She never even told me until i went home and saw blood everywhere!!!! They issued me a refund but WHO CARES!! Are you gonna refund me my lost blood and pain and cut too???? So unprofessional. DO NOT COME TO THIS SALON FOR WAXING SERVICES read more

Great place, enviromental is comfortable and inviting! Professional and polite ladies, who do a wonderful job. Definitely a place I would recommend for guys and gals alike. read more

I had to tell the nail tech all the things she wasn't doing correct. It was as if it was her first day at school not at work. If I were u I would second guess yourself about going there. It's a hit or miss who u get that does the job correctly. Regardless who u get they still charge unless u want to start all over again. read more

Had a good overall experience. The place was very clean and bright and the technicians were all very professional. It is worth the price to come out having a Mani/Pedi like that read more

Today I noticed that the quality of The Spa O has really gone down and I won't return. First, both my and my friends nails were cut too short and then we had to dry our nails (hands and feet) in cold air. At first it was cold and after we asked to turn the heat on (since it was freezing!), their power went out and an employee asked if we just wanted some spray on our nails...?! Why would we when they've just been made and were still wet..When the power returned they didn't change it for heat so we had to dry in freezing cold. At the same time, for whatever reason, they've decided to change the entrance, which leads to cold chills coming upon everyone waiting to dry their nails...Time to find a new place for mani-pedis! read more

Without question, the worst manicure i have ever had. Yes the place is clean. And the people friendly and welcoming. However, my nail polish is streaked and uneven - they look like a child painted them. When i commented on how awful they look, the maicurist told me it was my fault for picking the wrong color! Imagine. I will say the 60 second neck massage was great but certainly not enough to make me ever go back there. read more

Clearly the best mani/pedi in the South Loop. Very clean and bright space. They play relaxing music and show click-flicks. The nail techs are extremely good at what they do and even give you a short massage while the lotion sinks in. Prices are similar to Salon Vision and others, but the service is much better. After work, I recommend you have an appt. This place has become very popular in recent months. read more

Came by today for a pedicure. I noticed that the women beside me was sharing the SAME nail tools! Actually the whole shop shared the tools as I observed closely. When I asked for unused tools I was told they had no unused or even clean tools.. Needless to say I did not have my cuticles cut or nails buffed. I just asked for polish and ran out the door. Be careful if they have no clean tools the whole shop is at risk of the spread of HIV, fungal infection, Hepatitis ...I will never go back! And to top all this off they didn't clean the foot bowl with any solution just water and a sponge. read more

I was in Chicago for a conference. I need a fill for my acrylic nail and gel coating finish. The final gel coating was additional cost of $35.00. This is outrageous and this salon is overcharging out of town visitors!!! read more

This place was awful to say the least! They are over priced and flat out rude. Three of us went for a scheduled appointment and they acted like we had no money. We repeated what we wanted to have done several times, a no chip manicure and a pedicure. Then when it came time to do the pedicure, it was as though they had never given one, it wasn't done properly. They were asked to put a design on our toes, and we were rudely reminded that it was an extra $5. Then when we had our manicures done, they lady I had made a big deal out of it as if she couldn't do it. She was extremely rude. The lady my friend had mangled her cuticles, they became infected. Don't go to this place, they are not clean and they don't know how to treat their customers. read more

Poor business people here at Spa O. I had a gift certificate that was past the one year from date purchased day and they wouldn't honor it. Salon Vision on State is better anyhow and they don't steal money for gift certificates as there is no expiration date. read more

I have been searching for someone I could consistently rely on for eyebrow and lip waxing and I am happy to report I finally found someone! This place is awesome and the pricing is extremely reasonable for Chicago ($23 for eyebrows and lip). And conveniently located for me too! read more

Hot or miss but a nice atmosphere. Had a nice mani pedi with Billy today. One of the better here. Definitely the best option in the immediate neighborhood. My regular place. read more

Ok......I was referred to this salon for a pedicure, if I could give it a zero I would, I made my appt. a week ago specifically with Chloe for today at 11am, I decided to take the day off and get some pampering done. I get there at about 1050am tell them I have an appt. with Chloe only to be told she was off, I then asked for Jenny because both of them came highly recommended and was told she was off too. I rescheduled Saturday with Chloe, but you know what I will not be going to this salon, plus when I walked in everyone just looked at me like I had 3 heads, no hello, nothing. I will take my money somewhere else. read more

Came here with friends for manis on a Saturday. They were fairly busy but able to seat us within 5 minutes. The price was very reasonable ($15 for a mani) and they did a really good job. The owner was particularly nice and made sure we had a great experience. Will definitely be coming back! read more

I went to get manicure today and was very pleased with my nails and the hospitality while I was there. I will be back!

Absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere great work and very friendly people, hands down the best place to get a mani/pedi/massage or even waxing! read more

Big fan of Spa O - SUCH a great addition to Lincoln Square! I went on Sunday and was able to get in without an appointment. I think the longer they're here, though, that won't be the case! I had a great mani/pedi. Only complaint would be the music... it was kind of lame, to be honest, and almost put me to sleep. I guess they were going for a relaxing vibe, but it was more annoying than anything. Also, the place was so quiet, not much chattering. Again, I'm sure this will change. Oh, and the space is really nicely done - love the decor. Overall, excellent experience, will return! read more

I came to this shop on my birthday with my girls to get our nails done. There were 6 of us which I thought is gonna be big mess but surprisingly everything were just PERFECT!!! When we got here they were all ready to take us, every technicians came to us and got our coats, greeting nicely, and my girls brought some wine and snacks. They put our little birthday table together (even though they didn't have any tables they put all the chairs together) and the service got started. The services were just AWESOME! they did everything perfectly NICE and CLEAN. My friends had no problem no disappointment nothing just appreciation. I would definitely go back to here since its really close to where I live. read more

Since my time spent at Spa O, I refuse to go anywhere else. This nail salon is not only exceptionally clean, but the technicians strive to go above and beyond for their guests. Not only do they soak your nails in green tea or lemon juice (your choice), but afterward they proceed to give you a back massage. This is something other nail salons should consider if they want to compete with the top salons in Chicago. I would never consider going anywhere else! read more

Went back and had good service. Hoping the polish stays on.

Way over priced for the standard of service performed. I have never had a shorter pedicure and the bottoms of my don't even reflect me having one. No chip was ok. And just that.. Just ok. $72 for a basic pedicure that I could have done better at home, and a no chip. When there are better quality salons doing specials for $55 for both. Never will be returning here again. read more

I have to say Spa O has disappointed me the past few times I have been there. I started going here a couple years ago and didn't mind paying their higher prices, compared to other salons in the area, because a no-chip manicure would last me 2-weeks +. But over the past 6 months or so my no-chip has been chipping within a week, if not sooner. I found another nail place that is quite a bit further but their no-chip is guaranteed to last two weeks and it does. I wish this wasn't the case because the customer service at Spa O is fantastic, I just can't see paying $73 for a no-chip mani and pedicure that's going to chip in a week read more

I love this place! Tams review actually seems made up because out of the 4 times I've been there I've had the exact opposite! Heidi is the very best, the one time I bumped my toe trying to get my phone out of the purse, I told Heidi don't worry about it but she insisted she fixed it. Love this place! Great job and great atmosphere and super friendly front desk clerk! New favorite place which I will keep coming back to. read more

Well, maybe it was an off night but the lady I had was not very experienced, my cuticles still feel sore and as soon as I got home my polished chiiped and I wasnt doing anything stenuous...my eyebrows are uneven as well...the price is standard but the service not so much... now this part was a bit my wierd, I am sitting in the chair and the lady massaging my feet looked like rubbing my feet was the worst in the world, my feet arent perfect but damn, could you at least keep it to yourself...and all the while I am sitting there and people are going to the drying station chatting with the receptist lady, paying there bill while they finish drying and then happily leaving...so finally the lady doing my pedi finished up and then she takes me to work on my nail, she puts on the clear polish and then stops working looks at me and says you pay now...I am like right now I thought you pay at the desk in front..she refused to continue working until my debit card cleared,..appalling, I"ve been to quit a few upscale spas, not sure this is considered one, well never mind I guess it really isn't, but usually you get the service then pay, it was another lady next to me and they treated her the same, we both looked at each like wow, she told me this is her second time and they treated her better before, maybe they got burnt by a new client so this is there policy, who knows...but the lady on the opposite was able to finish her service and pay when complete...I guess they dont trust new people...I really hopes it is that and not something else, if it was that's just sad...well either way there are lots of spas, I will not be back and the other lady said the same thing... time to take our money elsewhere! She told me about a great spa around the corner I will be trying out. read more

Let me start by saying that I get no-chip manicures fairly regularly, so I know what I like and how I like my nails to look. I went to Spa O with a friend to get my normal no-chip manicure. This was my first time there. Per usual, the man doing my nails asked if I wanted them cut down. I said, "no", as my nails, which are typically pretty long, were only average after experiencing some breakage. Even as I said no, he proceeded to clip my nails, when I pulled my hand away and repeated, "no", he then started to file them. He filed my thumb nail all the way down as low as it could go. And then he said, "oh, that's really short nail". Yes, it is sir, because you just massacred it. It is so ugly to look at and the shape is wrong. He changed the natural shape of my nail, rounding out my obviously square nails. While the polish job is ok (we'll see how long it lasts), I am unhappy with the shape and the fact that if I hadn't been diligent about pulling my hand away when he had the clippers and file in his hand, I'd have no nails. I told him I was upset and he just smiled at me and kept going, clearly not listening or caring. I won't give then 1 star because the staff was nice and they use a new fingernail file for each client. They are definitely clean. I will say that they are overpriced for what they do. $45 for a no-chip, where you don't listen to what the customer asks for is unacceptable. I won't be back. Check out Rock N' Nails about 5 down Michigan. At least they listen to what the customer wants and it's about $10 cheaper. read more
