Decent service with many good and friendly nail techs. As of recent they don't have a punitive or fussy last minute cancellation attitude which helps for dire schedule changes - but of course don't make that a habit. The selection of polishes is plentiful and service is typically smooth. The no chips are questionable though as the last two times I got them they chipped within 5 days. The no chip is also able to peel off which is suspect. I saw Lisa today for the first time for a dip manicure. I insisted that she not use the drill on my natural nails to start the process, and she insisted that she does. She said she must use the drill on my natural nails and could not use the buffer. Meanwhile , I watched the tech next to me use the buffer on their clients nail for their dip. Lisa proceeded to use the drill (in many sizes) the entire time, barely touching the buffer at any point. She is quite drill - happy and I was wondering why. I would say it's to make her service go faster but that isn't the case because service was slow. My 1:30p appointment finished at 3:25p - for basic color! Anyhow, this place is worth a visit. I keep a list of preferred nail techs when making my appointment. I would recommend coming in for an appointment rather than a walk in so the ladies up front can set you up with their most recommended nail tech for your specific request. I had an appointment scheduled here but received a text the day before informing me that they don't allow rescheduling -- only cancellations. Unfortunately, I didn't see the message in time, and when I tried to adjust, they were completely unaccommodating. Life happens to us all! Especially, when appointments are made several weeks in advance. Most professional salons understand that flexibility is part of good service. Not here. The policy and tone felt rigid and dismissive, which really took away from what should've been a relaxing experience for me and my son. Lady at the front desk was not kind and this ruined my experience. She greeted everyone that came after me but did not say a single word to me when I walked in. There was no other customers in front of me or behind me either. I had to wait for a nail tech to walk up in order to be greeted. I paid close attention afterwards hoping it was a misunderstanding but she made sure to greet everyone else in a very lively way. When I was done there was a short line for payment. When it was my turn, she did it again. Everyone ahead of me was communicated with - "ma'am, next in line", "how can I help you". When it was my turn again, she said nothing. I literally stood there assuming she was busy doing something else but I was wrong - when her coworker friend came up to desk she literally began a brand new and irrelevant conversation with her. Whenever I've made an appointment (whether for hair, waxing, mani or pedi), they have started on time. They manage their calendar and staffing well. Their services are slightly more expensive than competitors around the neighborhood (especially one on Wabash) BUT the nail techs are way more careful and take their time. I notice that my manis and pedis last longer when I go to OMG. The shoulder massage at the end of a mani is always appreciated, and there's a bucket of candy and chocolate for all guests. Wonderful regular pedicure nails. Miwang is very talented. I showed her a photo, told her it didn't need to be exact & she did a beautiful job. 6 weeks later my nails still look Fabulous. The cleaning of the dry skin on my feet was ok. It could have been a bit better. But I was very pleased. I got the no chip nail manicure for the first time. They lasted about 10 days. I don't know if that's good or not as it's the first time for me. The front desk wasn't the friendliest. They didn't do a good job of explaining all the services. I probably would have gotten more. The spa pedicure did include a nice scrub of legs with warm towel. I did get a lovely shoulder massage. They don't seem to have warm wax as an option. read more

My girlfriend received an eyebrow shaping from this place. She came back home with what looks like burns under both of her eyebrows. She didn't complain, because that's not her nature, but the treatment also caused her quite a bit of pain. I recommend staying away from this place. Poor customer service from owner! My husband booked a massage and when he arrived the front desk apologized and said they double booked. They asked if he could wait or come back later. He said it would have to be another day. He booked on line so his card was charged. They gave him a gift card to use at a later date. He made multiple attempts but he was never able to schedule. Time did pass but there was no expiration on the actual card he had in his wallet. He booked a massage yesterday. They said the gift card expired and charged my card on file for his massage.This means we paid twice for his massage. I tried to explain this to the owner. She stood there and said it's on our website that gift cards expire in 1 year. I utilize this business for hair style, pedicure, facial, makeup, brows, massage. The employees I see are great at what they do. The owner is completely unaware of customer service! If she just reviewed my history there or cared about customer loyalty, she should upgrade her customer service practices and smarten up! They ask to keep your credit card on file so be aware they will charge your card if you do not cancel. Always check your receipt and credit card statement. To help others, I will also be reporting this to the better business bureau. read more

I have been going to OMG for about three years. It is within a block of where I live, so it is super convenient. Mostly things have been fine but there have been a few incidents worth noting, one of which happened today that has left me extremely hurt and misunderstood. A few weeks ago my toes were not dry and they were ruined when I left, so I went back to ask for a fix. There was a new worker at the front and she asked someone named Uni to fix my nails--who also appeared new. Uni complained to the front desk person that she had just fixed someone's nails and she didn't seem to want to fix my polish. She did but left it quite bumpy which I was willing to let slide except one toe that was particularly bumpy. I politely asked her to smooth it out. She said that it was not her job and that the woman who originally did my nails was busy. I felt extremely uncomfortable as I thought her response was unprofessional and rude. So, instead of confronting her, I simply went to the front desk and explained to them what was happening. That's the right thing to do, right? No? Instead of apologizing, the front desk worker looked poorly trained and like she did not know how to handle the sitaution. I asked her what she could do. A customer then approached me and said that I am rude and that I need to get my stuff and leave the salon. Excuse me? First, the worker said it is not her job to fix my nail, then a customer who didn't even have all the details, approached me (could be considered assault) and yelled at me and told me to leave. Of course I told the customer to mind her own business and to please stay out of it. However, no one at OMG did anything except for Baska as she knows me and offered to help me. She fixed my nails, I was extremely appreciative, I tipped her, and let it go. Today I showed up for a fill in and pedicure. The owner was there and watched me receive a $137 service; I left a $30.00 tip for Sheila as she did an amazing job. When I was almost out the front door, the owner approached me and asked to speak with me. I thought she was going to apologize for what happened the last time I was there. Instead, she asked me what happened, I told her, and instead of apologizing, she told me that no one at her salon likes to do my nails and that they all have a problem with me. I was shocked! Honestly, I have only complained a few times in three years and they were legitimate. I always tip well, people smile at me, speak to me, and are extremely friendly with me when I am there, so I thought I had a good relationship with everyone. I did not realize no one liked me. Even Uni who was extremely rude to me last time, we smiled and spoke today. So, I was shocked when the owner said that to me today. I am not sure why she shared that information with me other than to make me feel unwelcome. If she didn't want to provide services, she should have told me that immediately when I entered instead of taking more of my hard earned money. She could have kept the nasty comments that no one likes me to herself and I do not believe the owner's behavior was productive or professional. It was also extremely hurtful. Why didn't she (Chloe) tell me that BEFORE I received my service today as I saw her when I entered the salon? Instead, she watched me receive a service, then stopped me on my way out the door to explain to me that no one likes me, that the manager has been trying to get a hold of me, etc. I am completely shocked and hurt not only by the way I was treated last time but by the way the owner treated me today. I've been anticipating coming to this spa for years, today my husband surprised me with a spa day, he paid for a 90 min hot stone massage. My massage therapist name was Tony, Tony was very unprofessional. He tried to leave the door open while doing my massage, I asked him why he have it opened and he response was "I'm hot", he ended up closing the door cut the fan on while I'm naked, I was so annoyed at this point, on top of all that he rushed through my massage. It wasn't relaxing at all. I've never experience getting a massage like this in my life, I don't recommend at all. Oh yea, the room was so unorganized and the floor was dirty & it was a peep Hole on the door, I felt like I was being watched dressing and undressing.. Terrible Service! I'll never return! read more
