I explained this was a redo... the desk attendant argued with me, telling me... did you speak to Mr. Moon? - after accepting 3 phone calls as I was trying to check in for my appointment. I did speak to Mr. Moon. I did have a scheduled redo from Graces lackluster appointment. I did try to explain to you & the other colleague who stepped in that this was a redo. After 20 minutes of trying to explain... waiting as the receptionist took call after call, I left & will not return. The receptionist did call later that morning to apologize & confirming it was a redo & no charge if I wanted to come back, but I did not return. There are many other nail salons in the NS which will be more knowledgeable, provide better service & deliver a better customer service experience.

I've found that they have been drying out my nails lately so when a friend mentioned the russian manicure with Nadia at Allure was "life changing" I decided to check it out. I've been to Allure a few times for both manis and pedis and have always had a good experience. They get busy, but I'm usually able to get in for a last minute appointment as well. I tried this "life changing manicure" with Nadia and do feel like my nails look really great...and much healthier than they do with the dazzle dry. For those wanting to stick with dazzle dry Allure also offers those. Nadia spent about an hour on my nails and I was told they'll last 3-4 weeks. It cost $70 for the first time, but $80 next time (I believe because I have to soak the nails off). They also offer tanning. While I haven't personally tried their tanning services a friend stepped out of their tanning room looking like she had spent a week at the beach (in October). I love the way a spray tan looks, but avoid because I had the way it feels after. However, she said you can shower hours later with their spray tan so I may have to check that out in the future too!

I went in on New Year's Eve with my mom, and we spent around $240 total for both of our services. I personally got gel extensions, and within one day, my nail started lifting and came off. Over the next few days, multiple nails completely popped off, including my thumb -- while I was on vacation and not doing anything rough on my hands. I don't pick at my nails, I wasn't cleaning, and I normally get gel extensions that last 3+ weeks, so this was very unusual. I reached out immediately and sent photos. Customer service offered 50% off my next visit, even though I clearly explained that I live out of state and only come back about once a year. I asked if a partial refund was possible given the situation and the cost, and after that, they stopped responding entirely. What's most frustrating is that after looking at Yelp, I see many recent reviews describing the exact same issue -- gel nails lifting or falling off the next day, paired with very high prices. I'm disappointed because I used to trust this place, but between the quality issues, pricing, and lack of follow-through, I won't be returning.
