So i got my eyebrows done 2 days ago here with my mommy. I was hesitant because I am not use to having permanent make up done on me xD It's pretty weird for me... but hey, my mom really wanted someone to get that done with her. If you don't want to read my blabbering, just skip to the bottom So I came into the shop.. It looks pretty clean and nice. I met both Sharon and Tammy and they are very nice people. Tammy was working on my mom's eyeliner which came out to look very very fantastic. I am planning to get that done now since my eyeliner always smear no matter what type of brand of eyeliner i use. I was going to do both but I didn't want to take up their time. They already use their day off (which is sunday) just to make time for both my mom and I. I say that was pretty sweet since my mom is one hell of a busy person. Anyways, so during the eye liner process, Sharon drew out my eyebrows and I trust what she was doing since this place have pretty good reviews but for a person like me, I am scared that it might not match me at all.. hahah... Finally, getting it done.. I have a big fear of needles, but it's not so bad. Tammy carefully worked on my eyebrows and it didn't seem to take that long.. either that or I fell asleep with the music they were playing haha After I was done, i see Sharon still working on my mom's eyebrow. We both came out with nice eyebrows. Perfectly shaped ( trust me, i see some girls with messed up permanent eyebrow on the streets before). Right now, it's still in that process where the eyebrow is dark.. So I will take a picture after it fades a bit which should be soon. I will be back there later on to get my eyeliner done.. I really want it xD okay so enough blab.. I know Sharon gets a lot of crap for her "attitude" and demeanor. But she is genuinely sweet and nice, and she. Knows. Brows. Like someone said in a review, I think a lot of people perceive her "attitude" as arrogance. I also think a lot of people have a different idea of what "nice" is. Her job is to make your brows beautiful; she's not your therapist. You're not paying her to be your therapist, you're paying her to make your brows beautiful, which she does. Our first initial visit, we spent about half the time drawing on the brows I would like, and she will not move ahead until you like them. The second half is the actual procedure. She did the outline while her assistant helped fill them in. The first part is the most painful, but she does use a numbing cream which helps immensely. I also took aspirin, half an hour beforehand, as directed. Filling of the brows was relatively soothing. I went in today for my touch up, and it went perfect. I noticed one of the eyebrows could have used a little bit more arch, and so did she. It was a smooth touch up session and I couldn't ask for anything else. She even bought me a Thai iced tea with boba. So sweet. As someone who drew their brows (I now cringe when I look at pictures of myself with pre-Sharon brows) a certain way, it was hard for me at first, to picture the brows she drew on at our first appointment. But that was the problem, you have to come in with OPEN eyes and an OPEN mind about your eyebrows. Otherwise, why are you going to her in the first place? Thank you, Sharon! I got my eyebrows done by Helena. This was my first time having my eyebrows done, so I was a little nervous about the pain. Helena was sweet and professional throughout the process; however, the reason I am giving one star is because one side of my eyebrow was much shorter than the other. I went in the second time for a touch up and pointed that out to her. She tried to fix it but it turned out uneven. I scheduled another appointment to have her fix it the third time. She did not charge me this time, but I was still not satisfied with how my eyebrows looked. After a week when my eyebrows healed, one side faded in the front. I called today to confirm my appointment for tomorrow and she said she can't find my name. She asked if I put down a deposit. Im such a big baby with pain; throughout the whole process, Sharon repeatedly checked on my pain tolerance. Let just say I didnt cry like a baby. I came in for my touch up appointment today and didn't realized it had been rescheduled bc she couldn't get a whole of me to confirm. This was my fault. Today, I returned to Sharon expecting a touch up to my eyebrows. I was so pleased with the results in June 2016 on my first visit. I had anticipated additional charge for this appointment, four months later. My eyebrows look as good as the first day she did them. I was no charged and she suggested I return in 6 months. I am looking to get my eyebrows redone. After reading all the reviews, it definitely brings back bad memories of my experience. I went to Sharon a couple years ago when she only charged around $350ish? Upon arrival, I was not greeted by her, she was just talking to her dog as if I was invisible. By the time princess Sharon was ready, she drew my eyebrow shape. She than asked if I liked it...Being that it was a different shape than I was used to seeing everyday, I politely said I think "it's too long". She replied with an attitude.."too long??" You don't treat your clients with disrespect and think you are above everyone. You have a stuck up attitude and you're not the only person in this business. Let's be honest, we all found her through Instagram. She only post her best work. People should definitely read the negative reviews prior to making an appointment. They should also read Sharon's response to these negative reviews. She tries to blame the clients as if it's in their head and they're the only person that feels this way. Also, please know that there are 14 negative reviews that have either been removed or flagged and are not accounted in her overall 3 1/2 star rating. Which, let's be honest, 3 1/2 stars out of 5 is not good. If you pride yourself to be the best in the business, be the BEST in the business, don't be a b**ch to your clients who pay tons of money and drive or travel from afar to come see you. You are in a service industry, service your clients with common decency. I made an appointment months in advance and had to leave a non refundable deposit, which is typical. I drove all the way up from San Diego for my appointment and I arrived early. I waited patiently for my appointment, she was with another client and ran about an hour over. When she finally got to me, she started drawing a shape on my face which I explained to her that I did not think this was the best shape for my face. She rudely stated that the way I draw in my eyebrows looks like a chola. Who says that??? We finally decided on a shape. Her next appointment came in early and she told me that I took too long to decide on a shape and I had to come back while she worked on this next client. Mind you, she was an hour late to my appointment. I left to go have lunch, I did not feel good leaving there. Sharon tried to belittle me and made me feel like I was difficult because I didn't agree with what she drew on my face. I don't have any tattoos. So getting this on my face is a big deal. You want the person working on your face to make you feel safe and not like they are going to screw it up on purpose just to be spiteful. That was the feeling I received from Sharon. I tried to convince myself that she was the best in the business, and that she has so many Instagram followers and I should just go through with it. I came back after lunch, you can already tell that she was super annoyed based on her body language and as she continued to roll her eyes at me. She applied the numbing cream and I laid on the table. She kept reminding me that the shape we decided on was my decision and she did not like it. Who does that? Putting fear in someone as they are about to go through with a tattoo session. She gave me so much anxiety that I had to get up and leave. I couldn't go through with it. I will not allow somebody to continuously be rude and disrespectful to me as I allow them to permanently tattoo my face. That was not going to happen! I told her I couldn't go through with it, she tried to charge me an additional fee because she said I took up too much of her time. I had to remind her that she was over an hour late to my appointment and took another client early just so she didn't have to deal with me. There was no way in hell I was giving her any more money. Keep the stupid deposit. You were a waste of time and energy. We now live in a society where Instagram is life and the truth. Let me remind you, it is not. I don't care how many followers you have. I'll just get straight to the point and say that Sharon is a rude, condescending snob whose priorities lie with people who walk in with expensive bags and have thousands of Instagram followers. Here's my experience with this business: I called in to set up an appointment for a patch test specifically with Helena. I have a sensitivity to certain types of pigment and wanted to play it safe before scheduling an actual brow appointment. Come the day of my patch test, I walk in and was faced with an awkward no-greeting stare from Sharon and her two employees. I inform them of my appointment for my patch test and was told to be seated. Helena walks over to Sharon and although I didn't understand what he was saying, I can tell that from Sharon's movements, she was showing him how to do a patch test...which is fine as I appreciated that she was guiding him through the process. Helena then walks over with a bit of pigment and asks where I'd like to do the patch test. Not knowing what to say as I'd had no direction on where patch tests are usually done, I start to ask Helena, "have you done a patch test..." At which point I was cut off by Sharon stating with a defensive attitude, "Me? Have I done a patch test? Yes, I have. Him? No! That's why I'm directing him." Irritated I simply responded with a sarcastic tone letting her know that I wanted to ask if he'd done a patch test on the wrist before and if that area would be a good place for it. At this point I'm at the f***-it point and just have him swipe on my wrists so I can get the hell out of there. All the while, with Sharon rolling her eyes and making it obvious that my being there has terribly inconvenienced her somehow. I walk out of there pissed out of my mind because I was ready to spend hundreds of dollars on her services yet she treated me like I owed her something for asking for a patch test. I'm all about supporting small, locally owned businesses, but I will never stand for business owners who have no appreciation for the very people who help to keep their businesses afloat. I should've considered the bad reviews more seriously, but I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt. My fault. I dodged a bullet with this one, though, because I came to find out after some more research that a few years ago, Sharon got caught selling counterfeit brand name merchandise. I absolutely love my eyebrows done by Helena! She really took her time to draw the perfect eyebrows for my face and she mixed the perfect color to match my skin tone. The process took about 3 hours and during the entire time Helena was very kind and patient. She made sure that there was enough numbing cream so that it wasn't painful. The ombre shading technique really makes my eyebrows look natural. I love waking up in the morning with beautiful eyebrows that frame my face and I save a lot of time in the morning because I don't have to draw in my eyebrows. I have received so many compliments on my eyebrows and everyone says it makes me look younger. Sharon was there during my appointment and she was very nice and made me feel comfortable. Horrible customer service. I got my eyebrows done by Sharon 2 years ago. When I came back for a touch up she had her assistant Helena do it which I understood because she was out of the country. But when I called in today to schedule my annual touch up they tried to charge me for a new set of brows. From my understanding if we came before the 1 year mark it would be a touch up price. But since her assistant is now an "independent contractor " I have to pay for a new set of brows that he had work on last time. Despite all the bad reviews about Sharon and her personality I still acknowledged her beautiful work. But seriously her business skills lack. I would first like to say that I normally never write reviews. I have probably wrote no more than 10 reviews in my whole life. If I don't like the place I just let it be and just never return as a customer. However with the multitude of incidents I have encountered with this business, it needs to be known how bad their customer service is despite how good you are at what you do. I own a business I know customers can sometimes be petty and unreasonable but this incident was just a testament that you still need to have somewhat of a customer service. I had booked to do my eyebrows one year ago. At the time a $50 deposit was needed which was fine. When the time came close I had an unexpected business trip to go to. I called and needed to move my appointment. No matter how many times I called spabymode whomever I talked to would always be short with my questions it felt like you were bothering them by calling (when you are the customer trying to buy a service-and a semi permanent one for that matter). They were always pretty rude putting you on hold multiple times with an annoyed tone of voice when you asked them anything. When I needed to move my appointment it was going to be another 7 months out and they now required another $100 non-refundable deposit. I had asked what the total of the service would be and she told me it was $450. I wasn't happy about the second deposit but fine I went with it. Fast forward 7 month later, they called to remind me I had an appointment and that they didn't have record of my second deposit which I gave my credit card number 7 months ago. When I told them if they could wait 5 mins so I could check my bank statements about the charge, they refused to listen and needed to charge $100 right away since it was to lock my appointment. All she had to do was wait 5 mins. No compromise whatsoever with this business. I confirmed again how much the total was and she informed me that the price was now $600. I was pretty shocked because at the time I talked to them 7 months before it was $450 and now it was $600. They said that the price had gone up before I had rebooked but I was absolutely sure it was $450 and not $600 or else I wouldn't have put down the second deposit. In the end, she refused to charge me the price we agreed on so I cancelled my appointment in which I was waiting for a year. It's probably a blessing in disguise but if a business is this inflexible, I can see how it could spiral into a bad experience in which I would never want to take with something done to my face. read more

Sharon is seriously the best at what she does. She really knows what shape will best suit your face. Looking at pictures of how I used too draw them on and how they look now is like night and day. I now have the confidence to leave the house without any make up on at all! I get compliments on my brows all the time and no one can believe they're a tattoo because they look so natural. Her prices definitely reflect her work and she has people from all over traveling to get their brows done by her. Even though she is extremely busy you never feel rushed and she takes her time making sure your brows shape and color are perfect. Her assistant is also very professional and so sweet. Sharon is amazing! I was so anxious about getting my eyebrows tattooed but she knows what she's doing. I love not doing my eyebrows in the morning and how it fades in the middle. I looked at several artists in San Diego and LA and Sharon had the most experience and style I loved. That makes it so much more natural. It took my brows a week to peel. It does fade and the shape looks really drastic the first week and first few days. You will feel getting tattooed but the numbing cream helps. I had really sensitive skin so my threshold for pain is lower. It's worth it though, they look amazing now. This review is long overdue and I'm sorry I didn't post it back in December which could have potentially saved someone else the heartache of experiencing this woman's second class attitude and lack of professionalism. So, for my 30th birthday present my best friend booked an appointment for her and I to get our eyebrows done by Sharon over six months ago. Our appointment was scheduled for tomorrow December 15th. When we called to make the appointment back in May her assistant quoted us $270 with a $70 deposit for each of us. As both my best friend and I live in San Diego and our appointment was made 6 months in advance, we took careful notes as to how much the whole thing was going to cost us, deposit info, as well as the cancellation policy. We received an email receipt for the deposits and directions to the spa. The day before our appointment my best friend called to verify our appointment for 11 AM & 1 PM, only to be told that the brows were actually going to cost $450!!!!!! UMMMM Sharon told us that she would do them for $390 as a "courtesy" for the "misunderstanding". That "courtesy" is $120 more than we were quoted by her assistant. She goes on to say that we must have misheard her and said that "she is standing right next to her assistant every single time she makes an appointment to make sure that the price quote is correct"... Odd. So, this mis-quoting thing happens so often that she needs to hover over her assistant each time she speaks to a new client to ensure she's offering the correct price?? My best friend and I have been obsessing over this lady's Instagram for the last six months, excitedly waiting for this day to arrive. Should have taken The time to come on to yelp to read the reviews about this business owners lack of professionalism. Sharon had the audacity to threaten to not return the $140 deposit that my best friend put down as SHE would be losing out on money if she could not fill our appointments! I'm sorry, but I don't feel that a customer should be penalized for canceling an appointment when the price they were quoted changes after booking!! That's Just BAD BUSINESS. I totally get the comments about this business owner being a "Diva". As someone who works in the beauty industry and interacts with clients on a daily basis, I can't stress the importance of an empathetic and customer oriented attitude. There was no apology or sense that she even gave a shit. She just wanted her money. You're not the only one missing out on money, Sharon. We both took time off from work to drive up to LA for this. This was a long overdue review.. After following Sharon's Instagram for couple months, I finally decided to make an appointment to get my Eyebrows done with her. At the time I book an appointment with her 6 months out due to my pregnancy and that I live in Bay Area and she was not local. My first interaction with Sharon over the phone was really good, she was very sweet and friendly person. I book my appointment, paid for the deposit and was ready to go for my appointment in November. A month later after doing some research on her work and reading all her Yelp review, I honestly got scared and didn't want to have to travel all the way to LA and deal with a snotty attitude tattoo artist and have my eyebrow turn out ugly. I contact her through email informing her, that I felt that I was no longer interested in getting my eyebrow tattoo and if it was either possible to get my deposit back since it was book so far out or if I could spend my deposit on any other products or services she offered. Sharon email me back informing me no I can not use my deposit on anything else in her store and that she does not need to give me back the deposit. This was her policy and she could not make any exception. It funny cause I reader other Yelp reviews and some yelped said she was kind enough to give them back their deposit when they made a big fuss with her and was not interested in getting their eyebrow tattoo by sharon anymore. Guess that only applies to certain people. Sharon and I emailed back and forth and I finally decided Okay fine, I'll get my eyebrow done that way I don't lose out on my deposit and pray to god it turn out great. The day of the appointment. I arrive 15 minutes before my schedule appointment to spabymode and was not greeted by anyone. I figure since sharon was still working on someone, I would patiently wait for her since I was early. 40 minutes later after my appointment time sharon finally came up to me and told me here fill out these forms and I'll be with you. Sharon then proceeds to go back to work on her client. I didn't want to make a fuss since she will be tattooing my eyebrows but honestly, I was upset for the wait time with no acknowledgement nor any apologies. No respect for other peoples time. Finally Sharon started to work on drawing in my eyebrows and I informed her that my left one was too high and we went back and forth back and forth and she kept telling me no your eyebrow are drawn evenly. I had her redraw it again and of course she was a little frustrated with me after that. Sharon once again drew them and of course the same area was high again as I stated to her the first time. By now, Sharon seem very annoyed with me and I didn't want to make the situation even more awkward than it already was. I ended up going forward with the drawing since it wasn't too noticeable and told her to tattoo my eyebrow really light, in hope that after they fade I can use the tattoo as an outline when drawing in my eyebrow the way I wanted them. She knew I was unhappy and I was unhappy. Yes, I should of spoken up but all the back and forth with her from the beginning, trying to cancel the appointment and my interaction with her during the appointment, I didn't want to make things worst than they already was. I proceeded to pay for the rest of my balance and then sharon comments to me "oh I see what your talking about now, your left eyebrow is little bit higher but not too noticeable." Then she proceed to tell me that she should of never mention it to me cause now I'm gonna notice it even more. Sharon then start to schedule me for my touch up appointment. Sharon stated she only schedule touch up on weekdays only to save the weekend for client who are out of the area. I am a client from out of area! I guess what she really meant was for new client out of the area getting their Eyebrows tattoo for the first time. Like ummm? Okay ?? It was okay for me to schedule my first appointment on a weekend since I was not local but it's not okay to schedule my touch up on the weekend? I wish sharon would have informed me of all this information way before I even decided to put a deposit down. I would of save myself the hassle of going to her to begin with. A month later my eyebrows are healed and I sent her an email wanting to know if she could fix the evenness of my eyebrow at the touch up appointment? I sent her a picture and once again she stated my eyebrow are even and there was no need to fix them. I decided from that moment on, I was not going to go back to sharon for her services. Regardless of what I say to her about my eyebrows, she already has her mind made up. Now everyday I try to exfoliate my eyebrows in hope that they would fade completely. Sharon definitely pick and choose her clients and who she provide good customer service too. If only I did more research on her before scheduling an appointment, I would have not went to her! I been wanting to get my eyes brows redone for years since it's faded since doing it back in 2012. I wanted to do my research and make sure I find someone that has been in the industry for long and knows what they're doing. Sharon is exactly that, her skill set and expertise is what made me drive the 1.5 hours and she is definitely worth it. I know that Sharon does an awesome job because it's proven online. However, this review is for her 1st impression she gave us. I just took my mom who finally gave in to getting her already-tattooed eyebrows re-touched. I don't know what it was that offended her to give us sad customer service but I wasn't very impressed. In fact, I felt like we weren't worthy of being in the same room as her. She spoke to my mom as if my mom was some low class peasant. I thought maybe it was some type of language barrier or cultural indifference but her English was perfect, so there was no struggle with miscommunication. It was just her choice of words, her facial expressions as she spoke and the way she delivered herself. Not everyone knows how the process works, so if you have to explain yourself to a client once or even 5 times, you should! And u should do it without giving an attitude or closing your eyes like we owe you money for our time. I understand her clientele is high and her business is good, but don't forget, you once struggled in the beginning for customers. I just hope, moving forward, that you're outlook on new customers who may not look like we have enough money or who may not be as pretty as you will be equally treated as those who praise your work and claim your sweet kindness. read more

The owner Sharon is pretty rude with a snobbish attitude. NOTE: if you had a certain shape in mind,throw them out the window because she will just do whatever she thinks looks best no matter what you say. List of reasons why I don't recommend. 1: Very unprofessional and rude 2: Did not listen to what I wanted 3: eyebrows came out uneven (like NOTICEABLY uneven) 4: Brows faded big time! Went back for a full touch up and still not pleased. I've been shading in my brows still and reshaping so that they would be even and same color on both sides. For any new clients, read the negative reviews because they're all true and accurate. After gone to Sharon and read the reviews..all the negative reviews were spot on. I, unfortunately experienced it. Sharon is arrogant and will walk away if she no longer wants to deal with you. She will hand you off to her assistant. If you even have an opinion for how you want your eyebrows to be or if you feel what she drew is not even, she will make you feel like you don't know what you're saying and will say the absolute opposite. I pretty much gave up on saying anything because it instantly became a disagreement and aggravation. Sharon has no patience and is not open to what you have to say. Her frustration is very apparent and it doesn't take much for her to loose it. I've never experienced this type of rudeness and arrogance at any establishment in my entire life! Once Sharon tossed me off to Vivian because she no longer want to deal with me, Vivian is actually very pleasant and professional. I've worked in a permanent makeup establishment for 10 yrs and have not seen where you are charged $100 for a touchup (within 6-8 wks) . They claim it's your skin but they can say whatever they want to say. Touchups within this period should be free since spots can be missed during the initial process. The unevenness on the two brows are very apparent that you HAVE to come back for a touch up. Bring cash! you will be charged for her credit card service fee if you are to use a credit card. Note to owner: If you are to open a business, this is part of your overhead...not the customers'!!! read more

I'm going to save time and just get to the point in saying that after speaking to her this morning to try and give her more of my money for a touch up and experiencing her hollering at her assistant helping me on the phone "What..she does not get it". I went in for a consultation after reading all the good reviews about her. I don't know how she gets good reviews, maybe through the work itself, but I found her to be very rude, snooty, and seeming uninterested in what I wanted to get done. I thought a consultation consists of her telling me what she can do for me, having a closer look in order to get a bigger picture! She just sat there behind her desk and hardly gave any eye contact. She also said that "it's too expensive for you"! Was that supposed to mean something? I have never yelped, this is my first time so I immediately went home to do this people should really know this. First off, I love having my brows tattooed - saves me so much time in the morning and not having to worry about my brows cooperating. Everyone loves my brows but I'm picky and do realize that my left brow is straighter and higher than my right. Sharon said its because I move my brows a lot when I talk so it was the best she can do. She is definitely not the most pleasant person... She started out being nice but once things didn't go as easily and quickly as she would like them to... Her demeanor changed pretty quickly. She said my brows are hard to draw because I am so expressive and then got upset because I couldn't keep my eyes open for longer than a few seconds. I explained that I wear contacts and have extremely dry eyes so it is impossible for me to keep them open for an extended period of time. She didn't care... She just got upset, blinked her eyes slowly and had this expression of annoyance. After she drew my brows in, I asked that she made them less curved and more straight and she wasn't very happy with my request but she did it anyway. I seriously thought of just leaving but I've been waiting to get my brows done for months since I don't have much hair to work with so I decided to just go through with it despite disliking Sharon. The procedure hurt like hell.... I was shaking for a huge part of it - maybe my pain tolerance is lower than most but it was seriously the most painful thing ever! I was so glad when the procedure was over. Although I don't regret going to Sharon at all because I love my brows despite one being higher and straighter than the other, I think that Sharon can really work on her snooty and bad attitude. It's not like this didn't cost a pretty penny. I get my lashes done on a regular basis at a high end salon and even there you don't get a sense of snootiness. They know the kind of money we spend there and give us the service that is expected. Maybe it's because Sharon is booked out for months and doesn't really care about her bad reviews. I don't regret going to Sharon at all, however if I had to do it again and knew the kind of attitude I would be getting... I might not have booked her. But then again, I do have amazing brows now so it's a hard decision. I really just wish that it would have been a more pleasant experience for me. Sharon's assistant Vivian is a different story. I went to Vivian recently for a touch up and she was so pleasant to work with. I explained that the last time was really painful so she took care to make sure I was ok throughout the procedure and was just a much better experience for me altogether.
