I literally have never written a Yelp review in my life but now after going to Sharon I feel compelled to add yet another one star review to the collection. I'm a very non confrontational person and I decided to take to Yelp about my terrible experience because even those of us who are shy to speak up should still have a voice somewhere. - To start, I made my appointment months ago, 6 months to be exact. I read all the bad reviews about the business and still decided I'd give it a try, since well, if the appointment is a half year wait she must be good right? Maybe everyone else is overly sensitive, maybe I can overlook her attitude since she's so good...I mean after all, I'm going there for brows not her customer service. Besides, there are good reviews too; if other people can have a positive experience then so can I. NOPE! After my 6 month wait I finally get a chance to get my brows done. I was excited and giddy, full of joy. Something I had been looking forward to since March. Here's my detailed account of what happened. Enter day of: I walk in, the receptionist was ringing someone up, she should have at the very least acknowledged me. She looks up and continues to work on the computer. I stand behind the customer at the counter, patiently waiting for my turn to check in. Sharon and I make eye contact but she is scrolling on her cellphone, clearly in between clients and whatever she's doing is more important than me I guess, since I don't even so much as get a "hello". After a minute or so Sharon finally looks up and asks "What's your name?" And tells me to take a seat. I sit down and after about 5 minutes of me awkwardly sitting there the receptionist hands me a clipboard to fill out a form. "Can you fill this out?" Still no greeting. From anyone. Helena, the assistant (who is absolutely wonderful, kind, well mannered, and pretty much the only saving grace to the business) emerges from the restroom and gives me a warm greeting, offering me water and snacks. Meanwhile, Sharon is in the corner with a stale face. Even after completion of paperwork I am left sitting by my lonesome, in awkward silence while I watch Sharon scroll through her phone for a few more minutes before telling me to come over. I then receive a very forced smile and she asks me if I have a photo of what I wanted. I showed her a picture and she begins to draw. I try and make small talk about the weather, her business, her family, I get barely anything from her. All one word responses. Talking to Sharon is like talking to a brick wall. Oh well. I get it, there are days I don't feel like talking either. Even though if that's what it is, she's taking it to an extreme. Whatever happened to the saying 'don't bring your problems to work'? But you can do this, remember: you're here for the brows not her conversation. She draws my brows, I request a couple minor adjustments. After I think I am satisfied I ask her opinion. I ask her if she thinks they look ok, if they're symmetrical, if she thinks they are too high/low, and she offers nothing, "that's based on what you think. But whatever you decide is getting tattooed so make a choice". Gee, thanks. I wanted your professional opinion, you are the brow expert after all aren't you? Even a little bit of positive feedback/encouragement would have been nice. Sharon briskly moves me to the tattoo area, and does the basic outline of the tattoo in utter silence. I am then handed off to Helena, who was the best part of the whole experience because he actually makes small talk (polite/friendly, basic manners? No freaking way! Lol) and seems genuinely interested in my comfort level and opinion. But unfortunately after the first brow, I guess Helena took too long on me and so Sharon told him to step aside and she finished the rest of the tattooing. Back to her passive aggressive attitude. She tattooed so hard my eyes watered. She didn't ask me if I was ok. My eyes were clearly watering from pain and she didn't bother to reapply more numbing solution, even after I ask she ignores my request and says, "we're almost done". Because her next client was here. Reapplying numbing solution would have slowed her down. She turns off the machine and walks away. She didn't even tell me I was done. I had to physically ask Helena (since Sharon left me astray without a word) who was at another table. As I'm leaving Sharon says goodbye and thanks me for coming and supporting her business. This was the first taste of kindness I received from her in my entire 2 hour session. Clients deserve more than this. For the amount of money we pay we should get quality work AND quality service, it shouldn't have to be one or the other. News flash, lots of places offer both! And I've since gotten a touch up at one of these places. And because she took over halfway through, one of my brows was much darker than the other. So should you go to her? My eyebrows were done by Tiffany and she did an amazing job! She took her time too draw them out and was patience with me because I have oily skin and in the beginning my skin didn't want to take in the ink well. She also explained very well about how she was going to do my eyebrows. I went in for my touch up recently and I was in love with my eyebrows already but I love them even more now! Thanks to Tiffany for making me feel more confident in myself. I never thought that i would get my eyebrows tattooed but I'm glad that I end up doing it and it was not as painful as I thought it would be. It has been a life changer for me especially because my eyebrows were really light and i didnt know how to draw them in. Coming to Spa By Mode was one of the greatest decisions I've made. Sharon is the absolute best at what she does! She will take the time to find the perfect brow shape for your face. She'll offer her suggestions, but will leave the choice up to you. I went with the shape she suggested and I am so thankful that I did! My eyebrows now enhance my facial features and make my eyes appear more open. My morning routine has been cut in half. Now that I wake up with beautiful brows, my makeup only takes me fifteen minutes! It's truly incredible what good eyebrows can do for your face. I feel very comfortable going out and about without makeup now that I have my brows done; whereas before, I would feel the need to pencil them in before leaving the house. Sharon has given me more confidence and has made my life easier by blessing me with beautiful eyebrows! I'm so thankful to have found her. I know the price may make you hesitate, but her work is truly worth every penny. If I could give a 0 star-rating, I would. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for great service and amazing results. This place has the worst customer service - which is horrible given the amount you pay ~$500. My technician was Helena. She has no regard for others and lacks sensitivity to customers' needs. I started my brow service a month ago and Helena did not give thorough explanation of her approach in shaping my brows. In fact, the first thing she said to me was "your brows do not match." I am also very sensitive to pain. Throughout the process, she kept complaining about how sensitive my skin was reacting to the procedure. At the end of my appointment, Helena FORCED me to book a follow-up and I informed her I needed the latest possible 3:30pm and would arrive no later than 3:45pm (I live in Long Beach and it is hard for me to get work off on weekdays; weekend appts not allowed for f/u). When I came back today for my follow-up, I arrived within the time frame I mentioned to Helena upon booking. The first thing Helena said to me was "you're late. I have a 4:30pm appointment." I mentioned to Helena that I had arrived around the time I told her when we booked last time and I advised as well that I requested to be the last customer. Helena then proceeded to ask me "Why are you here? Do you want me to touch-up your brows?" Ummm... she is the subject matter expert. She should know whether this is needed or not! I asked Helena to fix the start of my left brow because it did not line up with the inner corner of my eye like my other brow did. Helena asked "Why do you want that? I will do what you want but I don't recommend getting anything done today." Helena lacks understanding and clarity. First off, why FORCE me to book a f/u appointment if you think there's a chance I will not need a touch-up? In addition, when I ask for something to be done during the touch-up, why give me a hard time about doing it? Frustrated with the poor communication and service, I left without ANY services done. Despite the many chances I gave Helena to resolve the situation and take care of my asks, she was cold-hearted and did not meet expectations. Unpleasant experience. Thank goodness for social media. I was so excited to find a place that offered amazing work for brows. I was able to get an appointment with Helena. She is absolutely amazing, kind and professional. Upon shaping my brows she was meticulous and extremely detail oriented. Helena made sure that shape of my brows was exactly to my liking. Helena is patient and precise!! Three words: brows on fleek! Tiffany was amazing through the whole experience. I was a bit nervous since its still a tattoo but Tiffany made me feel so comfortable and reassured me that it would all be worth it! And she was absolutely right! Literally the next day I came into work and all my coworkers wanted to know the details on who did my brows because they loved it! This place has great eyebrow technicians! I got my ombré brows by Karyn and she is detailed oriented and has a really calm/chill vibe. She was attentive in what she's doing and checked on me often to make sure that I'm comfortable and not in pain. Karyn takes her time and makes sure that I'm happy with my brows. The owner, Sharon, is so unfriendly, and unprofessional. I feel mistreated, disrespected. I have not seen any business that is this unfriendly to customers, like Spa By Mode. I made a deposit early in 2020. She called to reschedule due to COVID19, she said she can only see 1 or 2 customers a day. Prior to my appointment, I called to let her know that I wanted to get the eyeliner tattooed instead of my eyebrows. She got upset and asked me to make a deposit for the eyeliner service. I told her I made a deposit already but was told the deposit was for eyebrows. It is UNFAIR to the customer that a business owner can take away a customer's deposit simply because he/she changes his/her mind on the service. I tried to call and text several times but never received a response. I decided to drive from LA to her salon in OC to see her in person. I explained my situation and asked for a refund but to no avail. I was upset and left. She is so rude, un and disrespectful. There are many good artists in LA and OC, make sure you do your research before making the appointment and giving money to her. read more

I was literally stalking their Instagram for quite some time until I finally made an appointment with Helena. I had to wait several months for my appointment but I was more than willing to wait since I didn't want to go anywhere else. I was seen on time and Helena was very nice and attentive throughout the whole process. I was a bit undecided with the shape and as Helena started with the stencil, Helena made sure that I liked the stencil before getting my eyebrows tattooed. I thought I had a pain tolerance but I guess not lol! The numbing helped and Helena always made sure that I was okay through the entire tattooing process. I am very happy with the shape, how they healed, and the amount of time I save getting ready. It's definitely worth the money and I can't wait to come back for my touch up! read more

So I orig, came to see Sharon b/c a non-Vietnamese friend of mine wanted to get her eyebrows done (she had none) & knowing the place was located on Bolsa, was afraid she wouldn't be able to communicate w/ them. I, being the good friend that I am agreed to accompany her to hold her hand & translate. No need. They speaka the English & better than I had anticipated at that! It's located in the strip mall at the corner of Brookhurst & Bolsa (the one w/ the building that resembles Aladdin's Palace). We had an appt. at 11am. We were late, but Sharon was later. (Asian time). We were greeted by Tammy & told Sharon was on her way. Needless to say I took a look at Tammy's eyebrows then Sharon's eyebrows (when she got there) & thought to myself, man when can I get an appt.? It looks good! Very natural looking & how easy to just wake up & go? But no, it costs an arm & a leg & I HAVE eyebrows. My friend got hers done & was trying to convince me to get mine done. I was open to it, but not sold. Then Sharon says "yeaa, you DO look like you're surprised al lthe time" Bi*** I thought to myself. Coldblooded. She was SO confident she could reshape my brows & make me love it, I HAD to take her up on the offer. Let me just start off by saying that when it comes to Sharon her work is tip top and yes she is pricey but I believe in the term "you get what you pay for". I have been a client for the past three years and have not missed a single touch up, I love the way my eyebrows turn out every time! She shapes it just the way I like it, we work together making sure all the final details are correct before she puts the needle to work and I love it. Not only is she caring and loving but her work is amazing. Literally all of my girlfriends go to her cause she's the best. I just recently paid for a new set of brows and the outcome was magnificent. I'm more in love with them than I ever was and everyone around me seems to love it too! I have gone to Sharon for my eyebrows three times in the last three years. She has done a phenomenol job each time. I did not realize how drastic the shape of brows can effect your face until I met Sharon. She shaped my brows perfectly. I now look at old pictures wondering why I did not get my eyebrows tattooed any sooner. Here's my experience: Visit #1: Sharon took me to the back of her boutique where she does her tattoo work. She erased my penciled in brows and shaded in the shape that she thought would best flatter my face. They were a little too thick for me so she reshaped them until we were both satisfied with the shape. This took about 45 minutes. She then started tattooing my brows in which took about 30 minutes. Sharon uses lidocane during the procedure to numb you so it was not painful at all. Visit #2: I came in for a follow up procedure. Some skin types do not absorb the ink, but this is very rare. I happen to fall under that category. Sharon filled in the areas of my brows that were light. This procedure took about 30 minutes. She even gave me a free gift box full of dermologica products after my visit :) Visit #3: I came in a year and a half later to get my brows re done. The shape was still there but the color was very light. Since the ink she uses is semi-permanent, fading is bound to happen. She tattooed them a little thicker since they tend to shrink in size. I love my brows! So glad I found her and I will continue to get my brows done by Sharon in the future. read more

I have been following Sharon's instagram (@spabymode) for awhile now and although I admired her work, I could just never get myself to get something tattooed on my face!! It wasn't until after my cousin got her eyebrows done by Sharon that totally changed my mind. They looked amazing and I was so jealous that she could just wake up, add some eye makeup, and go on with her day! I was lucky enough to secure a last minute opening and got an appointment within a week. Her waitlist is currently 6 months long. I paid $450 for a new set of eyebrows, with a $100 deposit (which is credited towards your payment). I was super nervous going into my appointment, but Sharon and her assistants made the whole experience very comfortable! She was easy to work with and confident in her skill. She worked with me until we both agreed on the perfect eyebrow shape. The procedure was quite painful for me, but it varies for everyone. My skin is a bit more sensitive than most people so my eyebrows were super swollen after the initial procedure! It kind of scared me for the first few days cause my eyebrows were so thick and dark. But sure enough, in a week my eyebrows faded and became thinner just like Sharon said. They look very natural and the shape/color is perfect. Sharon is a true artist and I would honestly never be able to trust anyone else to tattoo my face. She is confident in her skill and really knows what she is doing. I am a really indecisive person and getting something permanent on the face is a HUGE deal. Now I just wake up, put on some mascara, and I'm good to go! I found this wonderful place from searching hash tags on Instagram. Thank God I found it!! Sharon who is the permanent makeup artist is amazing. Before contacting her I reviewed many of her photos and I quickly realized that she is the best, hands down. Which is why I drove from the Bay Area to Westminster, just about 400 miles so that I could have my eyebrows done by her. I loved the work she did. Sharon is very patient and will not begin the permanent makeup until you are satisfied with the look you are wanting to achieve. When I made it back home to the Bay my aunt asked me if it was worth it and my response was "Hell yes!! Can't you see how great my eyebrows look?", my aunt agreed. If there was any ranking system for businesses that clearly were not interested in customer experience or customer satisfaction, you would find Spa By Mode right there at the tippy top of that list of businesses who sorely and utterly lack respect for people, customers and customer service. I will never, ever, come here again. I became a client of Sharon's years ago as I was referred to her by a mutual friend. Sharon was the first person to do my brows and I was happy with them. I kept coming back for touch-ups as needed. Her business got busier and busier and it became harder to make appointments with her. I made an appointment with her for my typical touch-up and it happened to be about 6-7 months out. I was happy to wait as I knew I was making the appointment at a time I figured I would want a touch-up. The time had arrived and I would typically get a phone call to confirm my appointment, but I did not receive the appointment call. I called Spa By Mode and spoke to the woman answering the phone who stated that I did not have an appointment scheduled and I was not going to be able to see Sharon for that appointment I had written down in my calendar. In fact, the woman told me, I wouldn't be able to see Sharon for another 6 or 7 months. I asked to speak with Sharon, and it appeared she brought the issue to Sharon but Sharon chose not to speak with me over the phone. The assistant called back to let me know I could see her assistant, which I happily accepted as opposed to waiting another 6-7 months for another appointment with Sharon even though it was their mistake that this appointment had not be properly recorded in their books. At this point I was very upset. I waited all that time and had been a loyal customer for years and she could not accommodate time to speak with me nor figure out a way to fit me in. I figured I would get a snarky response if I followed up with Sharon about this since I know she does not respect the laws of customer service. I went in, got my eyebrows re-touched, wasn't quite happy with them since the shape was different and actually felt like the tattoo person was going a bit harder than what I was used to. In any case, I decided I was not going to be upset about this and just hope for the best the next time I needed to see Sharon. Months down the line, I call to make another appointment with Sharon. The woman answering the phone told me that since the last person I saw was her assistant, there was no possible way of me seeing Sharon, and If I did, I would have to wait, once again 6-7 months, then I would also have to pay the full price of a NEW CUSTOMER. How could you treat a loyal customer this way?! First off, I didn't purposely make an appointment with Sharon's assistant, they made a mistake and did not ever own up to it and try to rectify the situation. Secondly, I have been a loyal customer of Sharon's up until now, and there was absolutely nothing they could for me. Thirdly, Sharon would not going to speak to me over the phone regarding this matter. I called time and time again and was deflected by the person answering the phone. I just knew at this point it was game over, why even waste my time on this when it was going nowhere for me. When a business owner does not respect their customer's and customer service, there is nothing you can do but simply no longer give them your business. It's been months now since I've seen Sharon, and I thought, I have nothing to lose. I knew I wasn't coming back to Sharon, ever again due to the complete lack of respect and total lack of customer service. I finally had a chance to speak to Sharon over the phone and told her all of this. Of course, I was wrong, everything she did was right, everything her receptionist told me was right. According to Sharon, they almost never make mistakes with scheduling, and then she went out of her way to personally attack me after I told her that I went elsewhere to get my eyebrows micro bladed. She stated to me that she saw my pictures on Instagram and how my eyebrows are too close together and what would I expect her to do since I would need to laser them off. First off, I never asked her to fix them, secondly, she CHOSE to attack at a personal level. This review is just to allow everyone to know what my customer experience has been like, and it appears that many others have experienced the same or similar situations as myself. I would caution you to read those reviews beforehand because you'll see the common thread that ties these negative reviews together (complete disregard of respect for customer and customer satisfaction). read more

Contrary to all these "mean-ies" posting bad reviews, my experience with Sharon was very pleasant! She's seriously the sweetest person ever and she's hands down the best at what she does. UPDATED REVIEW 05-18-16 Giving Sharon 5/5 stars this time instead of 3/5 because she did what I wanted, she did it herself, and she wasn't a hag about it. So prior to my visit for my touch up, I had uneven eye brows for almost 7 months!!! And I didn't have a HUGE problem with them because make up does hide everything!! But... I finally could not take drawing in my eye brows anymore because it kind of defeats the purpose of getting them tattooed right? So I made the appointment a few months back to finally get my brows touched up! My appointment was at 1pm but I showed up early because I know that basically my appointment would be longer because of the situation I had, calling making an appointment then rescheduling like 7/8 times! But I finally got in the shop to see Sharon. Regardless! If I thought my eye brows weren't up to par, I still didn't choose another brow artist because I know Sharon is THE BEST out there. The experience I had with Sharon was still a phenomenal one, she made me feel very comfortable and talked to me while she was tattooing my eye brows. She numbed my brows each once on each side and I basically laid there and almost fell asleep because of how comfortable I felt. When we were talking about my eye brows, I told her what I wanted and asked advice regarding microblading.. Yes the microblading is super natural but I already have actual eye brow hairs, so it would be pointless for me to get the microblading it would just make my eye brows seem more bushy than they actually are. BUSHY IS A NO GO FOR ME. AGAIN, Sharon was not pressuring me to do anything I didn't want to do, she did exactly what I wanted, and she was very appeasing about it. And through the entire session, Sharon was not being a "bitch." She was just being herself which I like. I'm not trying to sound like a kiss ass but everything I say is literally true! I can understand why people think Sharon's a bitch.. But it takes one to know, if you ladies know what I mean. A lot of people say Sharon's a bitch and she's not a people person, but to me, she's like a person you have to have an "acquiring taste" for.. If that makes any sense. I love Sharon and she absolutely did a fantastic job on my eye brows!!! I literally cannot get over my brows and cannot stop looking at them. Old review: I can't imagine how it feels to be someone who had eyebrows to someone who didn't and now has perfectly shaped eyebrows after Sharon's work. A large large amount of my friends have gone to Sharon and have said nothing but great things about her so coming into her salon, I really felt at ease with my choice of brow artist. The reason why I'm giving Sharon 3/5 stars is because upon my arrival, I thought that due to a first set of eye brows back in October, Sharon would have been able to do both sides of my eyebrow. And the only thing that upsets is me that her assistant Hung was the one who filled in my left eye brow while Sharon did my right eye brow. Although Hung is a really sweet and talkative guy, the outcome of my left eyebrow is semi thicker than my right brow and the shape of my left eyebrow is semi straight compared the work Sharon did on my right eye brow. BUT I cannot lie that since I've gotten my eye brows done, my life has been a lot easier waking up with eye brows already drawn in. I also missed my appointment because of work and could not reschedule a touch up because her prices have gone up... Her prices are kind of expensive for people who are really low maintenance.. But the quality of the work does make up for it. Overall: I really do love and appreciate the work that Sharon does but I feel that if she did both eye brows, both eyebrows would have came out more symmetrical and if I was able to reschedule my touch without a price change, my experiences with Spa By Mode would've been better. read more

I've never gotten facials done ever until I found Spa By Mode. The Spa is such a cute intimate place. The moment you step into the spa it feels so at home. I get my facials done with Tammy, she's so great! It's the best time to relax and get your face really cleansed. After my sessions with Tammy, my face is glowing. I had some minor issues with acne on my forehead because I was using some new face products but after my first session with Tammy, my face cleared up immediately. I am so much more confident with my skin and I've switched to using Dermalogica as my skin care treatment. It's really great!! The price is so affordable that I get my facials done every two weeks now. I've always been afraid of needles so when the thought of getting my eyebrows permanently done, I was a bit hesitant. But Sharon assured me that it doesn't hurt at all where she promised that she would make my eyebrows very glamorous with no pain at all. And so I figured I give it a try. When I went in to get it done, I was a bit nervous. I was quite skeptical when my sister tried to convince me to go to Sharon's place, but it was probably the best decision/investment I have ever made in my life. Before walking in, I had some funky-chunks of "eyebrows" and now I can say my eyebrow game is on point! First off, Sharon sits you down, observes every factor about you then draws in your shape and explains why she feels like this shape is for you. She really observes your face shape, face structure, cheek bones, and style to come up with the most suitable brows. I have read lots of reviews about how people state that they are not allowed to pick their own shape but she actually works with you and tries to come to an agreement with what she thinks is perfect for your face and your own preference. After both parties agree, she will then mix the color and start the tattoo process. The longest part would probably be the sketching of the brows because she is such a perfectionist so she will dedicate a good amount of time to draw in the most perfect eyebrows for you. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Sharon to EVERYONE! I have brought three of my friends back and Sharon has worked her magic on their brows and they look amazing. She has such a freaken gift!!! read more

I got my eyebrows done by Sharon a few months ago and I loved them. A couple of my girlfriends have told me about Sharon but I wanted to be sure before I scheduled an appt for a free consultation. So I waited for a few weeks and checked out some other places. At the end I decided to pay spa by mode a visit. Sharon took her time explaining to me about my face shape and what shape my eyebrows should be. I've had my eyebrows done at a different place 5 yrs old and the lady didn't even drawn in the shape to let me see them first. Sharon did and I was very happy with the shape. The process was easy and wasn't too painful. I just went back today to get my touch up with her and once again she took her time with me and wasn't rushing just because I was her last customer. I know some people might be saying her prices are higher than other places, but honestly why would you want to be cheap when it comes to your face? Personally I thought it was money well spent & the best investment ever. I love waking up each morning not having to fight with my eyebrows & getting all mad cause I can't draw them correctly. Sharon was horrible with customer service. A few months again I made appointment over phone asking to see her for consultant, I had to take time off from work with my sister to come in for my appt, we showed up on tine and she was not there, her so called assistant said that she has to leave but did not tell me why. UPDATE- my eyeliner has since healed. And it is just what I asked for .. a subtle lash enhancement. Pictures to follow.. I am aware that it can be a two step process and I probably could use a touch up, although, the feeling I was left with after my experience in that chair is not something I want to go back to. I may be biased because I've been to other Permanent makeup artists and I left happy and excited because I loved my new brows and they made me feel so at ease, without pain and talked me through every step of the procedure. These artist now offer the permanent eyeliner procedure and are taking off to a great start. There are plenty of great permanent makeup artist out there now.. Sharon is even teaching her trade... what will set them apart from each other is how they treat their clients. Sharon is a great and talented artist, perhaps I misunderstood her, maybe our personalities clash.. either way this is my opinion and my personal experience at her studio. I gave her 2 stars instead of 1 because she responded to my initial review.. there is a lot to improve on. Shop Owner Sharon - Talented artist -- HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CHAIR-SIDE MANNER. I did my homework, based on pictures alone, loved her permanent eyeliner work... let me share my key findings that leave me bothered after the procedure. - My eyes watered easily when she first drew the line with marker - she said bluntly - this is going to be difficult. (Yet I saw the pics and loved her work and told myself - it's gonna be fine...) - She doesn't explain to you step by step what she's doing - which can be uneasy especially with your eyes closed - She has a heavy hand - Wiping is worse than the tattoo gun, until the numbing cream wears off - then they hurt equally. - She asks how you are doing, but is oblivious to body language and dismisses verbal responses of pain (at first - until your eye waters too much making it difficult for her to continue tattooing, at that time she reminds you to close your eyes gently, not tightly (but your can't help to react that way because the numbing wore off)) -I was traumatized to say the least - she finally put numbing cream on but asks me "are you on your period or something"? I thought -- How RUDE! I honestly cried for a moment in anger and feeling so vulnerable. I wiped my tears and she finished tattooing shortly after. I'm awaiting my tattooed eyelids to fully heal to make comment on the actual work. I am still quite swollen. Now 12:41 am I'm left with the lingering pain of the procedure and the unforgettable 2 hour experience. Note to Sharon - explaining what you are doing step by step to clients puts them more at ease especially when their eyes are closed, also, people have different pain tolerances.. be generous with the numbing cream if we request it... We wait weeks/ months to get your permanent artwork on our faces and have paid you top dollar - be kind. read more

I've been going to Sharon for my brow needs for years and have never been disappointed. She did magic with my sparse, no shape, overtweezed, wouldn't grow back brows. She's really passionate about making your brows sexy or how urban dictionary defines being "on fleek" haha recently went in for my touchup:) love "wake up and makeup" and she's always so sweet. This is a long overdue review! Sharon is an expert at what she does! To be honestly honest, I was very hesitant on going here because I don't know much about brows & had no idea what would look good on me. I'm glad I didn't back out on it! Sharon was very detailed oriented when she was shaping out my eyebrows. Even when I didn't notice a mistake, she took it upon herself to fix what she thought didn't look right. Throughout the whole tattoo process, Sharon repeatedly checked on my pain tolerance. After the procedure it was a little scary because my eyebrows were REALLY thick, Sharon assured me they would decrease in size while they heal. When I came for my touch up appointment, Sharon was honest enough to tell me I didn't need a touch up & not to waste my money until I needed one. I really appreciate her for that, someone else would've just done it for a chance of quick money. She's very straight forward and knows what she's talking about, and that could be mistaken as "rude". No doubt about it Sharon's work is absolutely flawless. I did my research before I chose someone to do my brows. I am a makeup artist and am very particular about how I like them. Sharon got the shape almost perfect right off the bat when she initially drew them, I was very impressed. With a couple of tweaks we got them perfect. The tattooing process was a little painful for me, but it was tolerable. They look very thick and dark when you first finish, but after they heal and peel they look so natural and shrink in size. People comment on my brows all the time, they don't even realize I have them tattooed. Getting this done has made my life so much easier. I wake up and go to sleep with perfect brows everyday. I went to Katie to have my eyelashes done. I had many compliments. Now, Katie used the Borboleta volume set for my eyelashes extension. The lashes look natural and are light in weight. So i got my eyebrows done 2 days ago here with my mommy. I was hesitant because I am not use to having permanent make up done on me xD It's pretty weird for me... but hey, my mom really wanted someone to get that done with her. If you don't want to read my blabbering, just skip to the bottom So I came into the shop.. It looks pretty clean and nice. I met both Sharon and Tammy and they are very nice people. Tammy was working on my mom's eyeliner which came out to look very very fantastic. I am planning to get that done now since my eyeliner always smear no matter what type of brand of eyeliner i use. I was going to do both but I didn't want to take up their time. They already use their day off (which is sunday) just to make time for both my mom and I. I say that was pretty sweet since my mom is one hell of a busy person. Anyways, so during the eye liner process, Sharon drew out my eyebrows and I trust what she was doing since this place have pretty good reviews but for a person like me, I am scared that it might not match me at all.. hahah... Finally, getting it done.. I have a big fear of needles, but it's not so bad. Tammy carefully worked on my eyebrows and it didn't seem to take that long.. either that or I fell asleep with the music they were playing haha After I was done, i see Sharon still working on my mom's eyebrow. I know Sharon gets a lot of crap for her "attitude" and demeanor. But she is genuinely sweet and nice, and she. Knows. Brows. Like someone said in a review, I think a lot of people perceive her "attitude" as arrogance. I also think a lot of people have a different idea of what "nice" is. Her job is to make your brows beautiful; she's not your therapist. You're not paying her to be your therapist, you're paying her to make your brows beautiful, which she does. Our first initial visit, we spent about half the time drawing on the brows I would like, and she will not move ahead until you like them. The second half is the actual procedure. She did the outline while her assistant helped fill them in. The first part is the most painful, but she does use a numbing cream which helps immensely. I also took aspirin, half an hour beforehand, as directed. Filling of the brows was relatively soothing. I went in today for my touch up, and it went perfect. I noticed one of the eyebrows could have used a little bit more arch, and so did she. It was a smooth touch up session and I couldn't ask for anything else. She even bought me a Thai iced tea with boba. So sweet. As someone who drew their brows (I now cringe when I look at pictures of myself with pre-Sharon brows) a certain way, it was hard for me at first, to picture the brows she drew on at our first appointment. But that was the problem, you have to come in with OPEN eyes and an OPEN mind about your eyebrows. Otherwise, why are you going to her in the first place? Thank you, Sharon! I love them so much and can't wait for this touch up to heal. It is so worth being able to wake up and shave off 15 minutes of my morning. read more
