I bought a packaged and tried it out. Being nervous due to claustrophobia, I spoke with one of the staff members at Floathouse and they told me everything I needed to know. You float nude. I didn't know whether you wore a bathing suit or not, but turns out you don't have to. It's a very freeing experience and I found myself feeling nothing. In a good way! There really is no way to explain it besides having you try it out yourself. It's a very calm and zen atmosphere right when you step through the Floathouse doors. I wasn't able to to do it my first time. I had little moments when I was able to feel nothing and relax but over a couple times of floating, I was able to really relax. Check it out! The facilities are super clean and you'll find yourself wanting to float and float and float.

I cancelled my monthly membership about 2.5 years ago and was told the remaining 8 floats on my account has "NO" expiry date. I can in fact share my floats to friends and family who wishes to experience the spa. When I reached out to the spa this time to utilize my floats I was advised that the spa has changes ownerships twice and they proceeded to tell me the "intent of the previous owner" and blatantly advised that my floats are expired even though they still have access to old clients account information. Sure, new ownership, new rules and policies. I'm disappointed at how current management chose to handle their business. It is very poor business practice as they have not made any attempts to properly communicate to their clients of ownership and/or spa policy changes. I'm a huge advocate and believer in the use of sensory deprivation tanks but based on this experience alone I cannot recommend this spa. There are plenty of float spas with better tanks and facility, not to mention better customer service.

I was left fumbling in the dark to find the light switch but this was only the beginning of my horrific experience. In the middle of the night I awoke to an awful itch. I broke out in a terrible rash that necessitated a visit to the local clinic and resulted in a week of sleepless nights lathered in Corticosteroid ointment. When approached the staff was unapologetic and dismissive, suggesting that I was somehow to blame "as far as I know this has only happened one other time" ....Right, sure, tell me another one.....

She's very warm and friendly, and I've always gone away satisfied with my nails. The one experience I had with Ashley was also very good as well. However I haven't had very good experiences with some of the other aestheticians. One of the aestheticians started out with the wrong colour and then had to remove it which I found a little annoying. However today was probably the worst experience I had there. I had a gel manicure appointment with their junior aesthetician. Only after just walking out did I realize that she had missed the very tips of my nails. So I decided to go back in so she could fix it. However after fixing it, my nails just had a dark streak at the top, which I also pointed out. After that she decided to remove the gel and start over. This time she made an obvious effort to be meticulous (which was appreciated). But because of this, a 45 minute manicure turned into a 2.5 hour manicure. Then when I left a second time, I noticed air bubbles. Tired from being there 2 hours already and not seeing a solution, I just decided to go home. That's not to say anyone should write this place off completely. The customer service and relaxing atmosphere are great, and if you get the right aesthetician, they do a good job. But altogether, I guess they're a little inconsistent.

I had received a gift certificate around Christmas and wasn't able to use it until recently I have to say that I was really impressed. I came in and was immediately greeted. They asked if I wanted a drink and I requested tea. I have to say, the tea was incredible. I would go back just for the tea. I've had many manicures before, but never has a manicure lasted so long without chipping. Granted, I had the week off. Even still, I'm a girl who very rarely has nail polish on and use my nails for many things. The polish lasted 1.5 weeks until truly chipping The lady who did my nails was wonderful, we talked the entire time and I enjoyed that. Sometimes I don't want to talk, but this time I found it enjoyable. I would definitely go back and recommend this place to all my friends.
