The crystal suite is very nice if you're looking for a couples massage. It's nice to sit and talk by the fireplace in a private room after a massage. I've also had great manicures and pedicures, but the thing that makes this spa five stars for me is the girls helping me with my makeup and face cleansing issues. I have terribly reactive skin and they had solutions for me that have changed my life (you must ask about the face cleansing mitt - it's amazing!). The only con is a limited spa menu for food, but the food is good. One of my favorites on the island.

Nicole and all the women at Bliss are so welcoming and the atmosphere so calm and relaxing. I had the special Mani Pedi for winter to restore my dry hands and feet. It was luxurious. It took a few tries to find a massage therapist at this practice that could provide the deep tissue…read morepressure I need, but I did eventually and have been happy with the services received since from that specific therapist. However one thing you should know if planning to come here, is that they regularly increase their rates - going from $110 to $118 to $125 per hour for massage services in less than the 18 months I've been coming here. Now keep in mind, I understand inflation, increased costs, etc... So its not the price increases I have as much issue with (although the frequency seems extreme especially given the fact my insurance coverage hasn't increased in that time)... My main issue is the fact that they increase their prices with ZERO communication being sent out. So one month the price is one thing and then you come in for another scheduled appointment and suddenly they start charging you a higher rate without a word of mention. It wasn't until after I tapped my card for payment that I noticed the increase. In what world is it not standard practice to inform customers - especially if they have services booked - that the prices are increasing? A simple email would solve this problem but instead they just assume all is well and leave it to the admins at the front desk who have to deal with explaining it after the fact? Lucky for this place I like my current massage therapist - because their ethical business administration practices are seriously lacking.

I personally get massages about every 3-4 weeks and try to fit one in even while traveling. I loved how clean everything is. And super professional too-- I never got an elbow in my spine or hip bone, something I'm always worried about when someone uses elbows or forearms during the massage. Sasha always used one hand to feel for any bony prominences before using her other elbow to really break up the knots up and down my back. My parents are well-seasoned spa people as well and they both loved their massages, too. I'm so happy we were able to go here while in Victoria! Easy to walk to from Downtown Victoria or Chinatown. It's attached to the Best Western but they have their own storefront, or you could enter from the lobby.

I was disappointed at how my appointment was handled by one of the staff, who interrupted my conversation with the receptionist (the other staff). While cancelling my appointment (which was booked in advance) no efforts were made to reschedule or provide alternative masseuse/masseur... not to mention "we are sorry , it did not work out today". Staff was _rude_ outright (while smiling at you). Management was not interested in my feedback (post-event): was not listening, interrupting, and trying to "sell me" their busyness model: billing structure and bottom line, instead. yowza ! way to go ...

She listens to you, then listens to your body as she works it. For example, my wife and I had both very different needs and we both got very different but still amazing massages. +Experienced - If I recall correctly, she used to do massage for the entire UVic row team, and then eventually a wrestling team. Also, as is evident from the other reviews, she provides a relaxing and therapeutic atmosphere. +Strong - Don't be fooled with conventional sexist wisdom that only men can provide the strength needed to work you over. Sheril is armed with hands that could probably kill, but you softies out there, don't be discouraged. As she says, "I like to work just before the 'u' in 'ouch'". She can give you the strength you need (and/or want for you pain loving fanatics). +The "je ne sais quoi", the "Undefineable" - I have noticed that lots of reviewers have commented on their experience with Sheril as magical, the best, fantastic, etc. Lots of these experiences boil down to Sheril's most valuable skill as a masseuse: she knows people and uses this knowledge to the massage completely theirs.
