Staff was efficient and thorough with the pedicure. Relaxing music was playing in the background. I sat in the massage chair the whole time with the chair massaging my back. Place was clean! It looked like staff had clean nail utensils for each client. Price was very reasonable for $35. I paid $10 extra for a paraffin treatment. The staff wrapped each foot in a bag filled with wax. I appreciate how sanitary that was. I have been to places where there is a pot of warm wax that multiple clients dip their hands and feet in. My only complaint is that staff were busy talking amongst themselves in Vietnamese even when they were working on clients. I know it makes passing the time faster, but it would have been more professional to not socialize in a different language in front of customers. I personally do not care too much as long as I get my nails done and not catch an infection.

I went to the register to pay and was blown away to find out she charged me $35 for that quick trim... I payed $35 for the toner with an extra $35 for the trim she insisted on... with taxes it came up to $75 dollars, I still tipped $5, although I was unhappy and didn't want to... I walked out of there having spent $80, and she didn't even style or blow out my hair..... it was still wet at some parts The stylist should have told me at the time of suggesting the trim that it would cost $35 insisted of surprising me with it at the till later. I expressed my surprise at the extra amount to the owner, hoping she would come up with some solution, but nothing. Being surprised at the till with double what you expected to pay... and leaving with no style or blow out done to my hair is just bad service. Being a mother of two small kids I do not have time to style my hair at home, or to go to salon often for that matter. So having payed $80 I would expect my hair to be at least styled. I will not be going back there or recommending this place further.

I told her several times that I am Canadian and was born here, yet she insisted on asking me to change my name and kept circling back to my "country." I even pulled my hand away and directly asked her to stop. She apologized once, but then went back to the same comments again -- at least five times in the span of 30 minutes. The whole appointment was filled with these cheap remarks and racially insensitive comments, and I left feeling disrespected and very uncomfortable. I understand Canada is facing challenges with racism, but we overcome that by treating each other with respect and kindness. What disturbed me the most was that no one in the salon stepped in to stop this behavior. This was unacceptable, and I will never return. I hope management takes this seriously so no one else has to go through the same.
